I haven't played the game obviously, and I don't know jack about the game.  But you are seriously wrong.  I am a little on the drunk side to be explaining myself right now.

I know what you mean Omen.  NES games didn't have save files for the most part, and passwords sucked for the most part, meaning that you had to learn the entire game by heart in order to finish it.  I remember I even beat Ninja Gaiden.  I got to the last boss of Nightshade several times!  (And Nightshade sucked.  I never figured out how to beat the last guy, which explains why I didn't beat the game)

I think half of it began for me when I suddenly had access to all the PSX games I had been missing out on.  I played a little bit of all of them, and I found I bit off more than I could chew, and got bored with all of them.

I am really proud of myself when I show the ability to have a sustained video game marathon these days.  I played Zelda for 5 days straight when it came out.  I did nothing else for those days.  I did the same for Skies of Arcadia.  I started playing Xenosaga and my own copy of Skies of Arcadia on Friday.  I am currently 30 hours into Xenosaga, and I have put 5 - 10 hours into Skies of Arcadia.  I am not sure what my total time in Skies of Arcadia is, but it's close to 30 hours.  I beat Pikmin 3 times.  I finally finished Mario Sunshine about 2 months ago.  I finished all 3 parts of Eternal Darkness.

But I have about 10 SNES games I have yet to finish.  Some of them are within an hour of the end.  I have about 20 PSX games I mean to finish.  Some of those I have accumulated about 20 hours of gameplay in.  I am nearing the end of Metroid Prime.  I swore up and down I would be playing the extra bits of Resident Evil 0 when I finished the game.  I haven't touched it in about 6 months.

Anyways, that's it for my random thoughts tonight.  I am going to go back to drinking, and I might play some more Xenosaga later.

That's pretty stylin.  I was thinking about changing my power light to a purple color, but I just never got around to it ever, and I am always broke anyways.

At any rate, that's pretty neat.

TalkBack / RE: Soul Calibur II Launches Successfully
« on: September 09, 2003, 09:48:17 AM »
I saw two rows of Soul Calibur II for GCN in Walmart the other day when I was in there.  Yesterday I got my last paycheque at my summer job, and I wanted to buy a game.  It was an easy decision, as no copies of Soul Calibur II left.  They had sold out in one day.

I did notice that they still had some left for PS2 though... hehe

Be warned that I am taking your sig very much to heart right now, so be warned that I might not make much sense.

But I have the same problem as you.  I did finish Zelda: Wind Waker and Eternal Darkness, but I can count many games that I have started but never finished.  I just hope it doesn't mean that I am growing out of games personally, as I still very much enjoy them, and want to play them.  I just can't seem to finish many of them these days.  It seems like I get stuck in them for a few minutes and I move on to something else in the meantime.  Hell, even a boring part will do that to me.  It takes a well designed game indeed to make me finish it.

But like you, I can't even count the number of NES or SNES games I finished.  Helll, I even got gold medals in all levels of Rogue Squadron.  I don't know what is causing this either.

PIAC sent me his cover.  Man do PAL GCN cases look strange... it's going to take a bit of fancy image editing to make that fit in with the rest of my games...

Anyways, thanks again PIAC.  I will take this to the store tomorrow and get a cover made.  but if anyone wants to send me an NTSC cover, I would still be very greatful.

Molobert, thanks but I kind of wanted a scan of the whole thing, and not just the front.

PIAC, you hold onto that file.  One day I will find you on MSN and demand it.    My email wouldn't survive an 8MB attachment.

As I mentioned in another thread, I just recently bought a used copy of Skies of Arcadia.  It came in an unlabelled Xbox case with no instructions.  I have remedied the case situation by buying a couple of empty black DVD cases, and moving my Preview Disc into one of them.  That leaves me with an extra black GCN case.  I can live without an instruction book, as I already know how to play, and it's not worth my while to get a copy, as I doubt I would look at it much.

However, I would really appreciate a high quality scan of the Skies of Arcadia DVD case cover.  I would prefer a NTSC/UC cover, but ones from any region would be appreciated.  With a scan, I am sure that I could get some place to print me off a high quality DVD label.

So can anyone help me out with this?

FF7... I could care less.  I have two copies of the game for PC.  I highly doubt that I need any more.  If it was a Chrono Trigger remake though... I would be talking very differently.    Nevertheless, it will no doubt sell a few GCNs if it comes to pass.

New Konami game?  That's pretty much a no brainer.  What remains to be answered is what and when.

Kid Ikarus rumors have been going on since the beginning of time.  I will wait and see.  Having never played Kid Ikarus, I don't care one way or another.  I will care if it's an excellent game though.

Too Human is something I would very much like to see next year.  Denis said something a while ago to the effect that Too Human had been pushed back too many times as it was.  N5 isn't released for 2 more years people.  GameCube needs our love NOW.

Mario 128.... too much speculation on this one for me.  I am just going to wait and see.

Game Zero:  For the love of GOD (Xel'lotath), PLEASE do not be a MMORPG.

Metroid Prime 2:  I bought the first one based on the hype, and I was dissapointed.  I am not buying the next one.

Killer 7:  I will wait and see.

Fish:  (warning: EXTREME spoilers) Grey Fox is a character that was a part of Metal Gear 1 & 2.  He was the best soldier in Foxhound, but Snake killed him in a hand to hand fight in a minefield when it was discovered that Grey Fox was working for Big Boss.  After the fight, Foxhound pulled his body off of the battlefield and made him into a cyborg ninja.  Fox lived only to finish his fight with Snake after that, as he wanted to feel what it was like to be alive again.

And yes rpglover, that's official information IIRC.

lol....  I just find that funny Mario.  There's not one game on PS2 that I want that is also on Xbox.

1119
Well, actually I wouldn't be all THAT pissed, as I just got the game with a memory card from a pawn shop for $40 CAD (~$25 USD).  But yeah, I was curious if it would ship with a memory card too, and that's why I clicked on the link.

1120
The Animal Crossing link leads to Star Fox Adventures.  Is that one really Player's Choice?  If it is, I want to complain, seeing as how I just bought the game.

I would get a PS2.  The Xbox just has dick all that's any good IMO.  At least with the PS2, you can play Xenosaga, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid 3, Virtua Fighter 4, Tekken 4, and a few others.  On Xbox you can play... Halo.

You two are complete idiots.

Regarding Scrapped Princess... Cz is the peacemaker that Shannon took in earlier in the series.  She's the one who has been following him around the last few episodes as well.  I am thinking that she is going to switch sides again soon too.  Regarding Raquel's magic though, it works in much the way that the magic in Xenogears/Saga works.  Magical effects are created through the use of nano machines, and that's just really cool.  It's things like these that really make the Xenogears/Scrapped Princess bond in my head, and I still think it's a really good idea.

Me and a friend were thinking about taking out a loan and buying the University Arcade a while ago.  That kind of never worked out though when I found out I had to leave town, and neither of us wanted to call the people who currently owned it and explain that even though we had no money, we wanted to buy it.

We were planning on having two main games....  DDR, and Soul Calibur II, with an intention to get F-Zero AC at a later time.

Heh.  My money is on Lee too.  I am anticipating a good match between him and Sasuke in the finals.  As for the weight training... even Kakashi said it was the oldest trick in the book.  hehe

Caliban, I am glad that you enjoy both bittorrent and Scrapped Princess.    What I found really funny though is when I was downloading Scrapped Princess 20, someone was downloading the file from me on kazaa at the same time.  I would bet money that he's going to be really angry when he finds a bunch of corrupted data in his copy.  Since bittorrent allocates space before downloading, he would be downloading largely a bunch of zeros.  But regarding Scrapped Princess...  What I really love is the blend of technology and fantasy in a Xenogears style.  The bit where they were on the flying fortress talking to the two dragoons is where I really fell in love with the series.  But episode 21 looks like it is going to ROCK.  A huge battle with 3 peacemakers can't be wrong.  It also looks like something is up with Cz, which I really want to check out.

As for anime suki, I visit the site several times a day, but I do not take part in the forums.  Here and OC ReMix are the only places I have any sort of presence in.
