Some DvD players have the ability to upscale the resolution to 720p or 1080i although DVDs are 480p by default. Should Nintendo do this with their Next-Gen Machine? I think it would be easier on the CPU/GPU because its not dealing with large HD textures and it sorta pacifies the techies without making the system overpriced because its fairly simple to do.

And something else...

For those who feel really down because of the "specs" that IGN spoke of I can say with supreme clarity and focus,   "Fear not, for there are other specs."

Something is not right here.

Didn't Reggie just say that you CAN NOT use (The) Revolution controller to play GameCube games? This leads me to think something else. Sonic and Knuckles lock on Technology. What if Zelda:TP Came with 2disc but it's really only one. The 8cm GameCube has 5 small points on it so it can fit in side a 4cm ring to make a 12cm disc for Revolution Gameplay. Its not that hard and the 12cm disc would still be sturdy and flush. I don't know how to explain it better but that's whats going to happen. And I'm taking all bets.

Well lets just hope they really don't come out the same week as The Revolution. They're now saying 60gig HDD and Linux OS built in. Sony could take the loss and try to undercut with a price point under $500(usd). For everything that thing can do I'd be rather scared if I was MS. Nintendo on the other hand needs to have Zelda ready to combat this monster.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Define The GameCube: Game of the Generation.
« on: February 20, 2006, 07:47:00 PM »
For me Metroid Prime is not only the best game on the GameCube, next to The Ocarina of Time, it is the best game I have ever played. Never have I ever been so engrossed with the tidbits and tedium of a game. Scaning every bit of data, every creature, every weapon. Feeling lost on an alien world with only a faint idea of whats to come. Metriod Prime is P.O.R.N. (Perfectness Offered by Rerto & Nintendo).

After Metroid Prime it gets hard. F-Zero GX is the best racing game this gen(maybe ever?) from a gameplay standpoint. Resident Evil 4 is better than most action movies offered by hollywood in the five(5) years. SSB:M So good after all this time.  But I'm going to go with Star Wars: Rouge Sqaudron II. From the time I played it in the Cube clubs back in the summer of 2001 until I got it on that night 12:07(I still have the pre-order slip) from my man Tee on South Street later that November, till the first time I played the Battle of Endor, Star Wars: Rouge Squadron II was the reason I bought a Gamecube in the first place. And if it was the only game I ever played on the system, it would have been well worth the purchuse.

Thank you Nintendo GameCube, thank you.

Nintendo Gaming / Define The GameCube: Game of the Generation.
« on: February 20, 2006, 04:40:07 PM »
Well there you have it folks.  It's over.  As another chapter in Nintendo history comes to an end, I believe now is the time.  Time to reflect on the glory of the Nintendo GameCube. Time to bask in the greatness of gameplay she has bestowed upon us.  It's time to "DEFINE THE GAMECUBE." If you had to pick a game (and a honorable mention) that defines the system what would it be? What did you feel was the pick of the litter?  Was it Smash Brothers, with it's phenomenal replay value? Metriod Prime with some of the finest gameplay ever? How about The Wind Waker? RE4? F-Zero GX maybe? What do you feel is the Best Game Of The Generation?

...and before you say it. In my eyes, The Legend of Zelda: TWILIGHT PRINCESS, no matter how good, great or perfect of a game it is sure to be, CANNOT define the GameCube. Its going to come out too close to the Revolution for it to stand any chance of "fairly impacting" the Gamecube or her fanbase. So please, until that day comes...

Should this game be free?  Either free w/purchuse of Revolution or get a Mail-in-rebate for one free Revolution game when you purchuse the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Something OR maybe the Gamecube should be free with purchuse of Zelda:TP.

What's funny is I watch this news form time to time ( I'm from Philly) and they never seem to report such uninformed dribble. I only saw the story cause I was watching Charlie Brown and then they showed the DS during a commercial in slow motion and blurred, (the evil look) so I said wow Ch. 6 is doing something with Nintendo, let's stay up and find out what.  With the Olympics on NBC and Idol on Fox, they had to try and get somebody watching their news again. I have no doubts they were trying to inform parents of the dangers of online snakes, but damn if you can't do some research or something.

Huh?
I didn't even know you could do half of the stuff they were talking about with the DS.
