So did anyone else notice that Bob Dylan won a nobel prize. There is hope for humanity. Not those weirdos that live on the wrong side of the equator. The only reason they don't fall off the earth is America is so great the extra gravity we produce by being awesome holds them to this rock.

I was a little confused by that.  It was for literature?  From his performances?  Like, he's an AMAZING performer (I've seen him once).  But that doesn't quite fit.  Do they not have a music or performance arts category?  Like, he's definitely at legend status, but that just seemed weird.

To be fair, I only read like 3 tweets about this.

If it wasn't obvious my entire post was a mix of sarcasm and despair. I mean Bob Dylan won a nobel prize, for what? that was my reaction. I guess it was for literature but do song lyrics count as literature now or did he do something else I am not aware of? To be fair I didn't even know he was still alive.

Phil if that is a challenge to catch up with you challenge accepted. I am starting to really look forward to getting one now that I discovered how many games I already own that are compatible and how cheap they are compared to other systems, for the most part.

Ejamer, yes I am interested in collecting movies. I am a movie nut, I used to have a CED, LaserDisc, VCD (official CD-i releases not Asian aftermarket stuff) Beta Max, VHS, Super VHS, D-VHS, HD-DVD, Blu Ray, Video 8, Super 8mm, and DVD collection. I have since pair down to just DVD, Laserdisc and Blu Ray but if I pick up a PSP I am for sure getting a few movies, I made a list of about 150 or so titles if I can find reasonably priced I will pick up. I might thin that down to under 100 but I am not sure yet. I also have quite a digital collection to between UV and iTunes but I don't really count those as a collection really. I mean I guess if I count Virtual Console titles in my collection I should count itunes and Amazon videos too.

Yeah have both Wii U New SMB games and yes I will get the other one eventually it's a top priority but it's $30, I can't pay that much for a video game right now. I mean I could but I won't.

I will be starting with Wii pointer/light gun games. I figure they are probably the most in line with my gameplay style. I will also be keeping an eye out for as many retro compilations as I can find. From there I will go down the list one game at a time buying the cheapest ones I come across first, or the 1st party games that I have already on my list of to-get. I have managed my expectations accordingly, I am suspecting that I will find a handful of fun games to enjoy, the rest I will probably just ignore or get elsewhere.

Well I am sorry I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I missed that part, it sounded like all you were saying was don't import.

I get that in the past I pissed a lot of people off, so yeah sometimes I do take replies that dismiss me as well dismissive do you blame me? I said thank you for the reply though so you didn't need to overreact.
I have been trying to be nicer but its damn hard when people, not saying you but I tend to skim the usernames at this point as I've come to realize most just go out of their way to antagonize me anyways. I didn't mean to be rude but I was agreeing with you, I wasn't being specific enough and felt I would have better luck elsewhere. I thought I was being very polite.

I am slowly softening up I guess but I need to try a game that doesn't ask me to dance around like an idiot first. Maybe I just hated Wii Sports for turning my parents into gamers, I had to fight them for control of my Wii. I mean yeah I don't live with them anymore but it was a brutal time.

I got you all beat. I am dressing up as a photographer for a local weekly newspaper. I even got a camera and everything. For authenticity sake I am even going to photograph a haunted house and print the pictures in the local newspaper.


Alright fine I have no Halloween spirit anymore, this insane election has drained me of all optimism.

As an avid breaker of the rules myself, eh. Fair enough.

Since you're actually making effort to spark new conversation, I amended my post to try and adhere to the rules.

I am not sure what it is, bipolar, maybe ADHD, something else, but I sometimes get on these weird kicks every once in a while. I have spent about 45 minutes of my precious work time today wasting time on this site arguing with myself over nothing. Damn, its going to keep me late at work though. Time to take a break again guys see you later.

I didn't like it. I gave it a shot, it was the complete opposite of fun, it was very not fun. I get why some people like them but I never did. I know I am not alone in this view but it sucks because it is the first Nintendo console where the barrier to entry is the controller and its a shitty excuse. I don't mind games that use them sparingly or only use like the pointer optionally but I hate games where I have to be holding the thing up and waving it around or dancing around like a jack ass. I just didn't care for it.

Part of it was principal, I just grew to hate them and the more they were forced upon me the more I resisted, part of it was I suck at motion control games and its like sports I don't play sports because I am not good and I don't want to have to get good at sports to be good at video games, that is partly why I play video games.

Beyond that, its just preference. I prefer to play with a normal controller. It isn't just the waggle I hate, the despise the whole stupid remote, so I prefer games that do not force me to use it, I wish I could use the Wii or even Wii U without it, but there is currently no option to even do that, I can't even access my own Virtual Console purchases without the fucking thing, which when I start thinking about it pisses me off.

I could go on but as the thread title suggests, it was probably crazy for me to even try to find Wii games that wouldn't piss me off.

The express to each his own means nothing though as I am sure someone will defend motion controls and call me more names as they always do.

Then if its forced or required I will just skip most of those games. Or throw the piece of **** in the garbage and buy a real Game Cube. Its no skin off my back, I thought I would see if there were at least a few games worth playing on the console but if that is indeed not the case no big deal I already hate a very strong hatred for it anyways.
