Definitely going to finish a Switch and PS4 game, maybe a 3DS game. Last spot will either have to be PS3 or Wii U.

I was doing so well, going to tank my score in the last few days.

Bought 2 games, Her Story (on sale) and Old Man's Journey (can't really explain this purchase, thought it had a funny name).

Beat 2.
Old Man's Journey, it was short and inoffensive. A unique puzzle game, but far from revolutionary.
Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey Redux, this one is long and has downright offensive game design. I'm talking Zelda 1 burning bushes levels of annoying. I stuck with it and in the end I didn't like this game. I think the dungeon design is horrid, invisible doors, invisible walls, invisible teleporters. When you actually need it the map is useless. Not a fan. On the bright side I'm now caught up on the series ready for 5.

The only RPG's I'm missing in English are SMT 1 on iOS (never going to play) and Persona Q2 (didn't like the 1st one).

Got very close to equalising, as I got to presumably the final boss of Pokémon Trading Card Game for GB, but I was wiped out by an extremely powerful Dratini.

Bought:
Bravely Default 2
Interest free loan for Nintendo in the form of a game voucher
Telling Lies
Her Story
Old Man's Journey

Finished:
Yakuza 3
Tell Me Why
Doki Doki Literature Club
Resident Evil Revelations
Telling Lies
Part Time UFO
Old Man's Journey
Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey Redux

Total score of -1

I know I'm super late and need to catch up but at the end of chapter 1, did I just rescue a fucking paper maché Chris!?

My first thought was Well that was easy, found him already! Oh

Good game all. Thank you Khush for making it so entertaining and for keeping on top of all the statistics.

I'm on a roll, +3 for Part Time UFO. Fun little game. Like Guillaume said on RFN, the soundtrack contains just one song remixed multiple times, but it's a really good song.

Clawing my way back up to +2, for finishing Telling Lies. Love this game, really unique and fantastic execution.

Looking at the list I realise I've played most of the series released in English. I'm more of a Layton fan, so I wanted to start with 5 so I would be ready for the cross over.

After those two I next played Miles Edgeworth which is really fun, to me it feels like the direction the series should have gone in. Then the trilogy, finished 1 & 2, still got a couple of cases left to go in 3.

All I would need to complete the set is 4 and 6.

I feel like my enjoyment of the series has gone down a bit with every game. 5 I was absolutely in love with, totally engrossed, couldn't put it down and devoured the DLC as well. But by the time I've got to 3, I'm struggling to find the motivation to play it. I like a big overarching narrative and at the moment it feels like Phoenix is grinding out smaller cases.

It's a lot of text and without that big narrative to push me forward, I finish a case then put it down for a few months. 1 is probably the best example of the grand narrative, which makes sense because it was their original vision for the game. Also probably because it was my first, but I like the goofy stuff 5 does with the "dark age of the law" storyline.

Also it would make my day if we could get a read from each of the RFN crew saying:

Previously on Resident Evil Revelations

Woo I finished it, here are my thoughts...

Overall I like it, but nothing jumped out at me as particularly unique or special. It's a Resident Evil game. Probably would have been a lot more impressive had I played it on 3DS, rather than the 360 where I already owned it.

I had heard that this game reused areas, so going in I expected it to be more of a Metroidvania. That's not really what they were going for though. I never learnt the layout of the ship as the amount of backtracking is fairly minimal. One of the main complaints I remember; scanning, I found to be inoffensive. You don't have to scan every single room and scanning becomes less effective as the game goes on. If I were to pick a favourite part of the game it would be the bosses. You really had to be careful with ammunition and look for weak points.

The game was just the right length, and didn't wear out its welcome. The game could have ended at chapter 11, so 12 was a welcome surprise.

I think the story is fine. Made little sense for most of the game, but things started coming together after the revelations in chapter 11. Again for a 3DS game it's a lot more impressive, I can't think of any games before or since on the system that pull off a realistic art style as well. Given the tone of the game Jessica's character design feels off, heels really? I also didn't like the comic relief characters Quint and Keith, as I felt none of their jokes landed. Jokes like "haha he likes computers, nerds am I right?" and "haha he followed Jessica home, isn't he creepy?".

I feel that this game is interesting as it pushed the boundaries of what handheld games were. But ultimately it's a spin off that doesn't quite stack up to the mainline RE series.

Duets are tricky man. There's no way we wanna be upstaged by a bunch of posers, but at the same time any publicity is good publicity right? How about we meet somewhere in the middle?

Ayyyyyy, okay I've got to go with this one. 49ers - Don't You Love Me

162
The competition is really hotting up. Kudos to everyone for making it this far, but this is the end of the roads for ya >:(

Back to square one at +0, for buying Telling Lies on PS4, needed something to fill the adventure game whole in my heart.

164
The concert is in two weeks and you're telling me there's still no opener! This is a disaster, an outright disaster. I don't care who you get, just get someone. Anyone will do. Here, use my contact with Bizz Nizz - Don't Miss The Partyline if you have to.

165
Must have been a slow month for Persona 5 Strikers and Little Nightmares 2 to be in the top ten.

Up to that sweet sweet +3 for finishing Doki Doki Literature Club. I had been meaning to play this for a while. Great writing and very much worth playing, plus it's free.

167
Bet they really enjoyed Excitebots

168
Excluding Wii U? I would rank them:

1. Wii
2. N64
3. SNES

Never owned an NES or GameCube so it wouldn't be fair to rank them. The list is purely a product of my experience growing up with a Wii and the other two consoles being older hand me downs.

All right Mr Gong, I've listened to your demo, and well... There's going to have to be some changes.

There's this one song however, couldn't get it out of my head! How does it go? Badum cha, badum cha, yeah that's it, Jimmy Somerville - Read My Lips (Enough is Enough). Book 'im, I want the lawyers down there with the paperwork before close.

Oh and congratulations Stratos!

It's outright bizarre that the sequel to this game, Revelations 2, has co-op for the story mode but it's split screen only!

Put a decent amount of time into this over the weekend. Something I was shocked to hear is that at one point a character says the word zombie, I thought that was banned!
