From the soundtrack...the very one we're trying to persuade VGD to sell to all of you (and me since Billy is the one with the CD).

Go to Nintendo.com and look for the Customer Service number.  I used to know it by heart, but not anymore.

Well, we do know that the screen is about half the size and you have to hold the phone like a taco.

« on: March 28, 2003, 09:11:48 AM »
Hah!  Yeah you did it right if you used the leaf.  I was so stuck that I found the real glitch there...you can jump from the block to the statues on the sides and you'll be floating slightly above the statue....From there I just jumped over the beams.

Just so you know, I won't be able to help out with the pictograph stuff until I actually get a chance to play my US copy.  And I'm sorry I didn't have time to look up the questions from last night.

They've summed it up, but I'll give an official response.  You can use the GC GBA Cable to hook a GBP up to a GC, but you'll need two GCs and two TVs to do it. One GC would play the GC game, and the other would function as a GBA.  The best thing is to think of the GBP as turning your GC into a big GBA.

i got the pearls in the statues and the castle popped up.  i got in there and got to a room with a big eye.  should i have the bow by now?  that's my main question.  and anyone got a small hint for how to get the treasure in the forbidden forest.  i got the boomerang, and the pirate talks to me when i pick up this one nut, and tells me it's right below a nut like it...  just looking for a small hint.  (if i get in to a walkthrough or something i'll read way too much.).

Thanx

I think that you do get the bow in the tower, but I'll check on it when I get back.  The Forbidden Forest?  Is that the US name of the forest dungeon?  I'll check on that for you too.

EDIT: How do you make statues?

Those side quests are things that I didn't get to in the Japanese version.  I only had three of the bottles myself.  I'll pass this on to a couple others that might be able to help.

Umm...if you haven't finished the dungeon, no.  You're either reading the FAQ wrong or it's poorly written.  You shouldn't be following along with the FAQs anyways.  Oh..and see the Official Help Thread in Gameplay Help for any further questions.

Nintendo Gaming / Game Boy Player: Import Vs. Domestic
« on: March 27, 2003, 09:48:29 AM »
Well, the answer is we haven't been told yet.  We can't even guarantee that a US disc will make any difference with the menus.  The menus are easy to figure out though... There are borders to choose from, screen size, controls, resolution (sharp, soft, normal), a parental timer, and a cartridge switch function.

And the silver lining at the bottom of my purple cube looks just fine.

They look just as you would expect on the Super Game Boy.  Unfortunately though, there doesn't seem to be customizable pallets for old GB games.

Ichabod: Hmm...well the description is a little vague to me and I don't remember having a problem there.  I know there are places where you have to pull blocks out of the way to get through.  Other than that, I'll have to check it out later tonight to see what room you're talking about.

You should have gotten the bait bag back at Outset Island way at the beginning of the game.

Berto: I'm not sure at this point...you should be able to sail east from there.

mrbojangos: I had a hard time with this too.  I'll just say that you need to do something without using any items - and no you can't jump on the platforms in the potion shop.

Hmm...it will be interesting to see if the menus really will be affected by a US disc.

Oh..and yeah Spice and Platinum would be nasty.  Black would have looked cool with it though.

Never mind the crowns.  Day/Night don't change while you're on a major island.

Well, I'm sure you've found the boat.  It should tell you what you need, but it's fairly logical - it's the sail.  Try to get the Tingle Tuner before you go too.

That's right.  He has to find it.  That stage is all about stealth and he has to sneak through the first part of the level without using a sword.

You need to use your bottle.... That should be enough to help.  If not I'll keep giving you clues, but I'd rather you keep experimenting and exploring your environment first.
