I have a "no buying a game while working on a review" policy.  The fact of the matter is I wont be able to focus on what I'm trying to review if I know there's a better game to play.

Holy crap, I'd never play anything if I did that. I generally get handed a new game within an hour after turning in one of my scripts.

I broke down and ordered one of these beauties. Hopefully I'll get it soon.

Sounds like typical Gamestop shenanigans to me. Honestly, I haven't seen much interest in the media we've put up either, so this could end up being a missed gem by most of the public. If you can't find it locally by the end of the day, you should just order it online.

I just wanted to pop in and confirm that the game is awesome.

Oh...Still, I never even knew the media summit would yield a surprise announcement.

A little disappointed that this was Nintendo's "surprise" announcement. They showed video of the game back in October.

This was the surprise? If you are talking about the surprise game Reggie mentioned a while back I thought that was going to be revealed at E3...
The E3 surprise is different.

To pap64: Probably never going to see the retrospectives on DVD or anything. Just download them when you get the chance. It can't be that bad. Also, I prefer the 2nd Castlevania title for obvious, self-preserving reasons.

Heh, indeed. I'm not trying to be egotistical or anything. Maybe this thread has run its course, but it's just been a nice place of reference for me to keep track of things and answer any questions people have.

Obviously there are still people that read it, but what do you guys think? Should I stop posting or only post things of relevance like reviews and podcasts? Or should I just keep going on as is, let the people that care check it out, and not worry about the ones that don't?

LOL, ok, I guess that makes sense. If you guys know that he wears a hat, you certainly know more about his life story than I do.

British guy with a hat? I have no idea who you're talking about. Talking really fast makes me think of Zero Punctuation, but he's an Aussie.

Yeah, I hate those idiots and the other idiots that come up behind you and leave their brights on.

I didn't play long, and I don't think playing a horror game in the office with the sound down and the afternoon sun glaring through the windows provides the best experience. It did feel like I was running around an empty building for no good reason, and the plastic body parts were kind of silly, but it's probably decent. I dunno, we did a review on the PSP version, so maybe check that out.
