"The order of the menu after each race will be changed to “Next Race”, followed by “Watch Highlight Reel.""

YES. Easily the best of the "minor" tweaks. It was so annoying having to scroll down after every race to get to the next race option. Glad Nintendo is fixing most of the complaints i've had or seen about the game. If only they would change the Battle Mode to give us actual battle tracks, trying to battle on the normal tracks is incredibly dumb.

Ian, so I must have have imagined "All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros.", where Nintendo placed the faces and other logos of a Japanese radio show into Super Mario Bros.

Looks nice, but no way would I pay that much for them.

Eh, the visuals look nice but the trailers still don't make me interested in the characters. I'll probably wait to watch it on video unless someone pays for my ticket

I don't know, i've failed to see the interest in Guardians of the Galaxy in any form. I think this is the weakest part of the Marvel Universe so far (i'm also lukewarm on Ant-Man).

Wait, I thought EA had the Tetris License.

Ubisoft got the license back in January after EA gave it up (although EA kept the license for mobile platforms). http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-01-16-ubisoft-grabs-tetris-license

DCE, this game is definitely not as good as the N64 version.

Looking at the prizes this year and saying they are less interesting than what was offered any other year

You think a free game is less interesting than the year where the "platinum" prize was a CD that had been released 15 years earlier and the gold prize were some lame posters? This is a much better prize (though I only got to Gold and wanted one of the Platinum games).

It's not unique, in fact it sort of asks to be compared to PSN and Sony since they give away digital games on a more regular basis .

Except with this, you will own the game. With PSN, you are essentially just renting the game while you are a PSN subscriber. The moment your subscription ends, you lose access to all those games.

Trying to save up for an apartment, so maybe this isn't a good thing LOL.  I'm interested in Pokemon X and Tomodachi Life.

TalkBack / Re: New Smash Bros. Character Being Announced Monday
« on: July 12, 2014, 11:35:21 PM »
(not saying much because all of the new characters are horrible so far.)

That has to be a joke comment. Almost all of the new characters have gotten lots of praise, and a few are already getting good amounts of people planning to main them. Mega Man is hugely popular among Smash fans, Villager is a surprise hit among Smash fans and many at E3 said they had a lot of fun playing as him. Little Mas is by far an early favorite and many people think he could be a "Tier 1" character since his attacks are so powerful (his only downside being his aerial sucks)

TalkBack / Re: Sega Producer: No Plans for Wii U Virtual Console
« on: July 12, 2014, 11:31:30 PM »
Virtual Console is practically free money for a company. All you have to do is create the ROM (which is practically nothing in terms of time or money) and pay the ESRB cost (which is also low), so you have to sell very few copies to profit from it. If I owned the rights to any older games, I would do my best to get them all on Wii U and/or 3DS. Hell, if I was a stockholder in a game company, I would be demanding they do that.

The way most Smash tournaments operate takes all the fun out of the game, so I don't want Sakurai to cater to them.

Adrock, it just sounds better as TK. If Capcom and Konami merged, Konami Capcom would sound better than Capcom Konami.

Eiksirf, the Japanese branch was always Koei Tecmo because technically Koei purchased Tecmo (like when AOL technically bought Time Warner since mergers are rarely 50-50).

I know the consensus is that Meta Knight was overpowered, but I never saw it. He always seemed mediocre to me, and my experience was that an experienced player could always beat Meta Knight no matter how good the other player was.

I liked Wario in Brawl, even though he was never that good from my time with it.

I am not a fan of breaking characters up, so I wish Zelda/Sheik and Samus/Zero Suit Samus stuck together, same with Pokemon Trainer.

Dr. Mario is fine as a alternate skin.

Pichu was not that good, and the fact that he hurt himself with every electric attack killed his chances.

Young Link is redundant with Toon Link in.

and it's smoother to say in this order anyway.

I have to disagree, it's much easier and smoother to pronounce it Tecmo Koei. It sounds unnatural to say Koei Tecmo.

Wii U or PC would be fine if it comes over. None of that streaming crap. If they were able to get it running fully on 3DS and mobile, then it'd be cool to have those as well. Otherwise, no.

It's a online only game anyways, so being streaming literally makes no difference. In fact, it makes it easier to get on 3DS.

Seems backwards. Tecmo Koei sounds much better than Koei Tecmo. At least it's better than "Choice Provisions".

Well, unlike Ash, Jessie, James, and Meowth are actually decent and enjoyable characters who don't make you want to inflict self harm when you hear them speak.

Depends which incarnation of Ash you mean, at times he's been a pretty enjoyable character.

I hate these limited edition systems because it's nearly impossible to get them if you want them.

I already own Paper Mario on the VC (I want the GCN game on VC though), but I recommend it to anyone who doesn't own it. Already own DK Jr. through the Ambassador Program (not that good of a game). Kid Icarus is not a good game, so even with the visual enhancements i'm not interested in using up coins to get it. Not sure if I want to use coins to get Metal Torrent either.

Podcast Discussion / Re: Famicast 37 - GET GOOD
« on: July 07, 2014, 08:48:54 PM »
Good podcast. I want to point out though that Ed Boon has said that the "X" in "Mortal Kombat X" is pronounced as the letter X, not the Roman numeral (so it's not pronounced Mortal Kombat Ten, it's Mortal Kombat X).

ejamer, you can't compare a one time sales price vs. normal price.

Demos are rare? Almost every week in this article I see demos listed.

348
I'm not happy about how it sounds like they nerfed Samus AGAIN. They already made her much weaker in Brawl (she was awesome in the first two Smash games, but much weaker in Brawl), and it sounds like they made her even worse. Is Sakurai trying his hardest to make people not want to play as her for some reason?

Chances of PC/Xbox One are slim to nil unless it's a Microsoft game, because if someone buys a game on PC Microsoft has no incentive to let them get the Xbox One version for free (unless the publisher compensates them).

I think Minecraft is boring and lazy (essentially making the player create thei own fun), but it would be nice to have it on Wii U and 3DS.

pokepal, why do you think a 3DS version couldn't work? There are iOS and Android versions and they work fine.
