I don't know what you're talking about when you say you can't tap the GamePad to fast-travel. You can TOTALLY tap the GamePad to fast-travel. I do it all the time. I scroll the map with my finger, tap a fast-travel location, and off I go.

You should go back and try it again.

TalkBack / Re: Wii U Experiences Large Sales Increase in Japan

They're too generous! What do us early adopters get?! Screwed over, that's what.

And the worst part is, I fell for it again! No one to blame but myself.

Exactly. If you didn't know this was going to happen, then you haven't been paying attention for the past 15-20 years. I bought a Wii U on day one because I wanted it so bad I could taste it. Sure, I knew there'd be price drops, redesigns, and whatnot further down the line, but I needed to own a Wii U like a baby needs to suck boob. So I got it, and I haven't regretted it for an instant.

Yeah, I didn't love this game either. The voice acting was mostly crap, the open world wasn't at all enticing, and I got tired of all the references to the Marvel Studios movies. ("Get me some shawarma, Coulson!") Also, I just haven't felt particularly warm towards Marvel Comics lately. They seem to have spent the past several years in a concerted effort to make their characters as dickish and unlikable as possible.

TalkBack / Re: Wii and Wii U Make Up 1% of EA's Quarterly Earnings
« on: November 01, 2013, 07:25:10 AM »
Ubisoft was on board on Wii U since day one.

You know to what all that support amounted to in their reports? Whopping 4 percents (or was it 7, don't remember).

Considering EA has been doing nothing spitting in the face of Wii U customers all this year 1% is an astounding achievement that should be celebrated. By someone...

ZombiU sucked, Rayman Legends was delayed for eight months for no reason, and we're not getting any of the DLC for Ass Creed 4. Don't make it sound like Ubisoft is Nintendo's staunchest ally.

This is an EA failing, not a Wii U failing. In order to sell a game for the Wii U, EA would have to actually RELEASE a game for the Wii U.

OK, not really getting all the shawarma references. Anybody ever been to a Zankou Chicken for their delicious tri-tip shawarma plate?

There was this small, independent movie that came out last year. Called "The Avengers", or something strange like that. It didn't do a lot of business, but the black guy from "Pulp Fiction" was in it.

Don't worry. Sega will keep forcing Sonic on the masses, whether they want it or not. I mean, if all the rest of the crap they've put Sonic in hasn't killed him yet, this certainly won't.

Hey, remember the good old days when Nick Fury wasn't the boss of every superhero in the Marvel universe, and nobody knew what shwarma was?

Lego Marvel Super Heroes kind of blows. It's just not as fun as previous Lego games. Also, the voice acting is mostly terrible, and the dialogue basically boils down to "Blah blah blah Agent Coulson, blah blah blah shwarma."

Tell that to all the 3DS owners on Miiverse who have been begging for this for months. They're the same ones who ditched their old Wii U systems when the WW bundle came out.

I'll be sure to throw out my old 3DS and pay $220 for this one because it has a Triforce on it, then.

Oh, wait. No, I won't.

I like the Ace Attorney series, but not enough to actually purchase one of the games at full price. I mean, you play it once, and then you're done with it forever. I rented all of the previous installments through Gamefly. The lack of a physical release for this game pretty much precludes me from ever playing it, unless Capcom drops it to $10 or lower.

And I know we're all supposed to be so damned excited about bigger and bigger game worlds these days, but wow....everything about this game just sounds exhausting. Like, it gets to the point where you don't WANT to gallavant back and forth across the entire Caribbean, or even a city the size of all five boroughs of New York.

Pirates? Ignored, and not popular? Pfft. Not since 2003, bud.

And all the fanboys can stop wailing and gnashing their teeth now, because the new Batman sounds almost identical to Kevin Conroy.

They could actually do that if they left out Uncle Remus and the Tar Baby. I mean, it worked for Splash Mountain.

I literally can't fathom anyone who thinks that TP is superior to OoT. Seriously, you might as well be Cthulu, or some other Lovecraftian creation. You're Cthulu, and I'm just staring at you, helpless in my lack of comprehension as my sanity strips itself away.

To put it another way, Twilight Princess is NOT to Ocarina of Time what Super Mario World was to Super Mario Bros. 3.

Twilight Princess just isn't very good, is all. Still better than Skyward Sword, though.

The problem is, the awesomeness of OoT pretty much destroyed the Zelda series. They'll keep trying to catch that lightning in a bottle the second time, but they never will. And as long as they keep trying to imitate OoT, we're going to end up with pale, crippled imitations like TP and SS. They at least need to go in a different direction, so as to escape the shadow of OoT.
