General Gaming / Burn out 2 progresive scan woes
« on: November 16, 2003, 11:35:44 AM »
I am using a modded D-sub cable, using the typical mod floating out on the web.

And I am having trouble getting Burn Out 2 to run in Progresive scan mode.

I hold down the 'B' button when I start up the GC but no option pops up asking me to set it for progressive scan mode.

Every other game I have with the PS option works perfectly, just not BO2

Anyone else have this problem?

BTW, My friend has an HD tv and BO2 works fine with PS on his TV.

Nintendo Gaming / Zellers has demo disc
« on: May 31, 2003, 04:35:56 AM »
To all my Canadian peoples, I found the demo disc at a Zellers in Calgary.  It was just sitting there in the display case.  Cost me 14.95.  I got mine from Market mall Zellers and a friend of mine got one from the sunridge location.

Zellers knows nothing, I guess the big 'Not for Resale' does'nt mean a thing to them.  Thats super sweet for me though thanks Zellers and your glorious ignorance.

On a side note our EBgames in Calgary had some Nintendo representatives show up at their store and told them to stop selling the demo disc.  I can picture CIA like characters in black suits going around telling people to ceast and desist.  Don't mess with Nintedo, you might get shot.

Good Luck

Maybe I missed something but how do I get the demo disk for the GC?  Do I have to buy a new GC, or can I order it?

What's the deal?

Nintendo Gaming / ATI showing off graphics.
« on: May 27, 2003, 08:44:57 AM »
I think it is cool that Half Life 2 was showcased using ATI's new video card.  And super cool that it had the best graphics at E3.  Can't wait to see what ATI does for Nintendo's next gen.  Nintendo has a good partner in ATI, they know their graphics.

General Gaming / Gran Truismo 4 graphics
« on: May 26, 2003, 12:20:45 PM »
Just reading IGN best of E3 list and I noticed they gave Turismo best graphics for the PS2 and a honourable metion overall.  I was wondering if this was a playable demo or not?  It does not come out untill 2004.  Also in the screen shots I noticed no more than 4 cars on the screen at once, but the graphics look really good.  I was just wondering how the Ps2 could pull something like that off with such a low graphic power consol?  What do you guys think?
