This is the same wallpaper I have been using since about 2001 I think. I made it myself using MS Paint. I actually have an acrylic painting of the same image that I made but when I take a digital photo of it, you can't tell much difference from the digital one anyways. I will be using this until the end of time. It is also my Facebook front page banner too, shows how original I am.

I am not even sure if there are any places with these demo stations near where I live, I haven't checked yet. We have a Gamestop but I really hate going in there, it's in the same plaza as Walmart and I hate going near that evil place.

I tried to get into 007 but never could. I have the first six all on VHS but beyond that I never cared for them. My mom seems to like the old ones but my dad hates anything remotely British so we never watched them growing up. I did like the Casino Royal it was good, but I didn't watch the one that came after.

I have a sister whose favorite movies are those Bourne movies and they always reminded me of 007 so I kept trying to get her to watch one to see if maybe she would like them, she started with Casino Royal and now is a fan.

I don't have any problem with Itunes but this trend of giving you the UV copy and itunes is NEW, when it first started they did not do that you had to contact Apple to get them to swap the codes. It was because at first studios were trying to get away from itunes and go exclusively to UV and it didn't work out that way. I know a lot of people that did the same thing, so I know it was not uncommon. I am not sure if there is a difference between the Blu Ray and DVd releases because all of mine are Blu Ray so things might be different if you buy a DVD I don't know.

I was just telling my dad yesterday about the new console and he was still pissed at me for selling my Wii, mom and dad played it way more than I ever did. I told him this new one is different its a real game system for gamers like me, and he said oh well at least he had fun. I think I might get him and mom another regular Wii next Christmas or maybe fathers day when they price drops down.

I never cared for RARE period to be honest. They had one game I liked, that was it.
That doesn't change the fact that they were highly successful with Nintendo and since being bought by Microsoft, they have become a shell of what they were.

So what I just was saying how I felt about it, not using that as any basis for any argument just stating my own personal opinion, which I am sure I am allowed to do.

The movie didn't come with any kind of code, it only worked with Ultra Violet. I have talked to many others who have ran into this as well, there are some studios that use both but when they first started it wasn't that way because Apple did not like UV.

I have never had any problems with iTunes. They even let me recover and redeem movies whose codes have long expired. I have had to call them on the phone a couple of times but they are generally pretty nice. They are even cool about swapping UV codes for iTunes codes whenever I have had to do that even so I would say their model isn't that bad.

If you are just going to college there, then you should be charged out of state tuition. You should only get in-state tuition if you moved there already and are not there just for college.

I didn't move here to go to college, I ended up here for other reasons. I met the requirements and they agreed I just had to get paper work lined up which is not always easy.

Back on topic, I haven't read anything how the eshop will work, is it different entirely from what they had on Wii with Virtual Console and I can't think right now what were they called the original downladable games?

I got some good news, school changed my residence to in state so now I get the lower tuition, which means I might just be able to afford one after all.
Congratulations on no longer being an Alien.

No, I moved to Nebraska from Nevada, I was charged out of state tuition but I fought it and won so now I get billed in state.

« on: November 01, 2012, 04:24:53 PM »
I haven't been into traditional gaming in a couple of years, so I wouldn't call any of these gaming purchases but whatever. The last thing I got was an SNES adapter, a pair of SNES controllers, an Genesis adapter and a SG Pro Pad 6, and a USB N64 controller for my desktop that I turned into an arcade emulator powerhouse. I guess if you want to count it I did just get an iPhone for my birthday in September it isn't a gaming machine but it do play a lot of games on it.

No thank you, while I am not at all against emulators, I never could get that piece of crap to work on anything. I actually have two Gamecubes sitting under my bed waiting for an excuse to be hooked back up. And I really only have 2 games left, Eternal Darkness which I never could bring myself to play so I never sold it, and Zelda Collectors Disk because that will be buried with me when I die.

The last movie I watched was Adventureland, I liked it a lot. The last new movie I watched was Avengers, I liked it so-so, um best part was seeing the hotness of Scarlett Johansson on the big screen and in 3D. I was a 3D hater up to that very moment.

To be honest I don't keep up with current movies much any more. I don't keep up with current anything actually.

I don't have a Wii anymore, I sold it in 2009. If the WiiU plays Gamecube games then maybe when I get one, if I get one, if not its the old trusty Gamecube.

They have already stated they are not interested in releasing the originals at this time, plus Fox still owns the rights anyways so nothing changes there.

As for the saga is complete, they have already updated the official site to reflect that, the movies will now be packaged as the Skywalker Saga. I think that might suggest a reissue with a new name coming up which would render the existing product highly collectible in the near future should that happen.

I agree totally with preserving the Original films, always have, I also agree the Han Shot first scene is offensive. My thing is it's not this huge personality changing event that alters history of the character, it is just an ugly shot that makes no sense and a stupid change that only incites fans. I won't mention that anymore, it seems like the hot button issue among fans.

I did read somewhere else that the comic books are in danger of being effected, a spokeperson from Dark Horse said something to the effect of they are safe, for now but the future was uncertain. If Disney pulls the Star Wars franchise away from Dark Horse, that could pretty much kill Dark Horse as I understand its their only major property.

had his threat right in Han's face, and was unaware of the threat directed at him

Again suggesting Han was in the clear to shoot. Anyone puts a gun in your face it gives YOU the right to shoot first, it is called self defense. Why is that so hard to grasp? No matter WHAT if a person is threatening your life and you shoot them it is self defense period.

How was Obi Wan's role in Jedi minor? He had almost as much dialog and screen time in that as he did A New Hope. Even in Empire, he was only there for a couple of shots but they were in no way minor. Minor would be like when they put someone in the back ground just for the hell of it to stir up the fans, like ET.

Don't shoot me, but Eternal Darkness is the only game I have left for the Gamecube, that I still have never played. I think a sequel coming out might be the motivation to actually get me to stop putting it off. Of course there is the matter of dusting off the Gamecube and praying it still works.

I think Han was justified, but it still changes his character to have fired in DIRECT REACTION to a shot from Greedo, rather than shooting preemptively. Han shooting first shows a higher level of resolve and coldbloodedness, even though it is justified.

That makes a little more sense than it goes from being a bad guy to good guy in an single instant. Still many people faced with that situation would still not take the shot. The gun was drawn still means he had to think fast, kill or be killed. At least that was how I saw it, even as a kid when I didn't know any better.

No it doesn't, your missing the point, Greed ALREADY had the gun pulled and told him he was going to kill him. That justifies what Han did, period it was NOT murder. Murder would have have been if he shot him mid sentence even if Greedo never pulled a gun and never threatened him. It was always self defense plain and simple. Lucas just wanted to make it more obvious to appeal to kids.

Look if two guys are sitting in a bar arguing over bounty hunters, one pulls a gun the other guy shoots, it is self defense on the shooters part not murder.

There is a valid complaint about the shot looking terrible, or about how at that close range there is no way he could have missed but the murder aspect is NOT TRUE. It was always self defense.

All I remember is how, they showed it all off at their E3 and made it out to be a big deal, it was all everyone talked about how it was the Halo Killer and would bring mature FPS gaming to the Wii. It never happened, instead we got the usual suspects, and that one Sega released nobody cared about.

Before I get attacked for spreading "false information" let me make this clear, I am only reminding people not to get their hopes up too high. The system might not be under powered like previous Wii but that does not mean developers will risk taking a chance on Nintendo system knowing their primary fanbase is not all that into those types of games.

The whole "Han shot first" thing is a legitimate gripe, because it changes his character and lessens the transformation he went through,

I disagree with this sentiment entirely, as it makes no sense. How does it change his character? Greedo already has the gun pulled on him, even if Greedo never fired a shot it was STILL self defense. Even taking it a step further, he shoots a guy in a bar and walks away coldly like a guy who just finished his dinner and nothing out of the ordinary happened. Either way the Han Shot first thing is blown way out of proportion. I agree other changes were unnecessary but that one changes nothing. I would like to see the originals released, but that is because I am a collector, not because I think he bastardized his baby, or raped my childhood or whatever other complaint can be made.

The only changes I really can't stand are the new Jedi dance scene, and the altered dialog between Emperor and Vader in Empire, everything else is fine by me.
