What do you mean Halo isn't on Xbox? Halo was the game that defined the Xbox.

I got a ton of stuff today. I decided to go ahead and get in on the PS3 since it it has finally dropped down to affordable price. I picked up a $199 16GB slim with a few choice games. I got Mortal Kombat Komplete, Super Street Fighter IV, Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (already had it on PC a while back but the selection was thing so eh), Devil May Cry HD Trilogy, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Jak and Dexter Collection, Lost Planet, Sonic Generations, Final Fantasy 13, and a $50 dollar PSN card that I will spend latter today. I also picked up GTA 3, MK Deception, and Namco Museum for PS2 on the real cheap.

You can pretty much say "the best ____" for Xbox is on the PC. This is why the console never appealed to me and I don't get how it can appeal to so many people. With Playstation you get real exclusives that don't say exclusive but mean exclusive content. With Nintendo well you know what you get there no need to rub it in. Right now three generations in a row Sony has been consistent Nintendo has been all over the place and Microsoft has just sorta been there.

really? Like how he did so great in Daredevil? Affleck sucks he always has. I wasn't against Ledger before the movie came out I didn't even he was in it till he died. I just think he was a terrible joker that was obvious. People only say he was great cuz he died. He was a shitty ass joker, he was a great villain, a great psychopath but a shitty ass JOKER.

I ended up just getting a PS3 instead. I might still get a handheld but I am not sure right now I think I might just take another look at the App Store.

Off topic, my mom is friends with Adam West.

On topic, Ben Affleck sucks and I still didn't like Ledgers Joker it was NOT a good Joker but whatever.

Mine are all over the place. NES would be A nightmare on elm street, the general consensus is completely wrong on that game it is a perfect movie based game that did everything right I don't understand the hate one bit.

On Sega it is Toe Jam and Earl 2, one of my all time favorite games ever and I really hate the first one so most fans/review sites have that backasswards.

32X, just the console itself I love it everyone else seems to think it sucks but I have always been a huge fan of it. BTW I don't consider it a complete console to me it is just an accessory for Genesis so in that respect it's a hell of a lot more deserving of praise than it gets.

Gamecube it is Star Fox Adventures, people act like that is the worst game ever made but it was one of the best experiences GameCube had to offer.

Those are the most obvious ones, everything else is kinda subjective but all of those I tend to really like far more than I should according to the general consensus. Also ET for Atari I loved that game I still don't get the hate.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: so with Wind Waker HD remake...
« on: August 22, 2013, 05:02:44 PM »
It might not increase the numbers by a large margin but those on the fence might consider it worthy. I just hope that they do more HD remakes along with new games but like I said, at this point they just need games period.

Well the company he worked for was pretty small and I am planning going the indie route at first. But to be honest I really don't care where my games end up as long as they find an audience.

Obviously new games are a must but I figure HD remakes might be quick cash ins. Right now they just need more games period.

I've said it before: A Mario Paintball FPS will have me squealing like a giddy schoolgirl

Now this would actually be a good idea, one of the few Mario spin offs I might be interested in.

THIS is the type of game I would consider getting a console for, any console. I will keep an eye on this one, I will be making my console purchase in January so hopefully Nintendo can impress me with more games by then.

As for the graphics comparisons thats all crap, there are Sega fans who honestly think Dreamcast looks better than Xbox, people are nuts. Perm hit it right on the nail, my parents have an HD TV and HD cable and they still watch the SD feeds for some insane reason.

Nintendo Gaming / so with Wind Waker HD remake...
« on: August 22, 2013, 01:28:14 PM »
I got to thinking this whole HD remake stuff might actually be a new venue Nintendo could use to entice gamers who are on the fence. Wind Waker doesn't appeal to me much cuz I just had a hard time getting into it, but there are remakes on the DS/3DS that appear to be selling pretty good and I was wondering if there are any others coming to Wii U or is this Wind Waker just an experiment?

I would love to see a full on HD remake of Metroid Prime, Mario 64 with updated graphics and maybe new levels, the Sonic Adventure Games, Star Fox Adventures, any of the Rogue Squadron games, maybe even something like  Eternal Darkness. I seem to recall PSN and Xbox live doing several of these HD remakes and was wondering if Nintendo had any others besides Wind Waker because if they did that might be enough to push me into getting the system. Especially the Sonic games.

I think there may be some truth to that, I am getting into development and I would kill to make games for Nintendo. My brother in law worked for a certain company I can't say and he told me nobody in the studio would ever work on a project that went to a Nintendo machine and so far all their games have either been PS3/360 or PC exclusive. And none of their games wouldn't have been too taxing for the Wii.

I missed that one, I had traded in my DS for a 1TB hard drive and sold my Wii by that time so I stopped checking into Nintendo E3 till this last one.

I forgot Kick Ass 2 was coming out already. I was planning on seeing it for my birthday but that's a couple weeks away I hope it stays in theaters long enough for me to get to see it. I loved the first one. On fact it is only one of three Nick Cage movies I can stand, cuz of how much I hate Nick Cage.

Maybe he was thinking as Nintendo fans we would just say no and make him feel good cuz his real life friends told him to toss the video game into the trash? I know all my real life friends hate Nintendo with a passion and think I am insane for continuing to support them.

On the topic at hand, it is a tough one man. As stated already relationships are hard work, give and take. Either you are willing to meet her half way or your not it's comes down to whats more important a video game or your girl friend? Maybe try getting her a 3DS and a copy of the game and you can play together? Otherwise I would ask her why she has a problem with that one game, is it because you play it too much and ignore her or is it because she doesn't think it is age/gender appropriate? I mean not to sound old fashioned but you never know with people.

General Gaming / Re: Any Vita owners here?

I am actually now on the fence between a Vita and  3DS. I will try to get both but right now due to financial reasons I have to choose one and then the other latter. I will make my decision tomorrow when my money hits the bank.

Well I never cared for the Vector games, I even prefer Asteroids on the 2600. The arcade machines I would love to get are the Cocktail Ms. Pac-Man, TMNT 4 player (not turtles in time), X-Men six player, Pole Position full sit down model, and a Play Choice 10.

Try the Genesis Shinobi games, there is one that gives you one hit and you die no continues. I think it was Shadow Dancer but I could be remembering wrong. It's been a while and there are so many Shinobi games.

3 tenths of a cent is more than nothing at all... just saying. I used to be an independent record producer and it is hard as **** trying to make any money but the artists do get paid, they get it up front and then on royalties and record sales as well as concert tickets. Sure they don't get much on radio play but they get more than they do from piracy.

But the reality is too many people think they are entitled to entertainment they just don't realize how hard working people suffer from their thievery.

But they already get free advertising with traditional and internet radio play and artsits get PAID for that, what you are talking about it still equal to stealing and while it is arguable that finding an artists on Youtube might lead you to buy the album chances are if you find it on Youtube you were looking for it. Pandora is free and it loads pretty fast and works on most devices Youtube does.

I don't think any gamer has true brand loyalty, if they did we would all be playing Atari, Coleco, and Magnavox consoles and Nintendo would still be 3rd party only.

Why I am teetering is the same reasons mentioned, the games drought on Wii U is a turn off and the fear it won't improve much. PS4 appeals to me because it does more than just plays current gen games, it is also a true media hub and with my worthless Google TV no longer getting any official support and my cheap ass Roku crapping out on me, and my five year old profile 1.1 Blu Ray player not able to play every movie that comes out, I am in a desperate need for a more universal media machine. At this point I am also considering a Ps3 just cuz it is cheaper but also cuz it has a strong library of games but the price is still unbelieveably high for such an old console.

The game that has me most excited now is watch Dogs but I could get that on my laptop if I want to play it on low to medium settings.

I don't think Sony can achieve PS1/2 sales but I think they will be stronger than PS3 sales out the gate. Especially since they aren't really trying to push Blu Ray so the price is much more realistic.

Well not to sound too flaky... But I was at Target yesterday and the Vita had some nice games for it that might interest me more. I think I am going to have some thinking to do. I am for sure getting a new hand held. I currently have an iPad Mini the school loaned me but that is a joke for gaming. Actually I don't want to spend a ton of money on something I will have to return in a few years.
