I like that unlike the Rush games, which I did enjoy, there aren't many instances of bottomless pits to worry about. Freedom Planet keeps its level design challenging without the need for bottomless pits. Not saying no game can do bottomless pits right, but with something with as much speed as Freedom Planet, it's nice to not have to worry about it.

I am really enjoying Freedom Planet. Came across a freezing issue in a cutscene in one with Lord Brevan after Fortune Night. Didn't hard lock the system, though, like the pre-release glitch in the review copy, thankfully.

I'm liking all aspects of Freedom Planet except how long the levels are. If they were split up like acts in Sonic, that would be much better, imo.

Ran into a freeze during a cutscene, one after Fortune Night with the big bad. However, apparently it's an issue that GalaxyTrail is aware of, as this Miiverse post shows.

Aw, I thought this was a word game. :( You need to add an L to "word" in the tagline. :P
This game sounds like a load of fun, though. I got other Wii U indie games alone to get through, but I definitely will check this out once those are completed.

Phil, both levels were great! My only comment is that towards the end when I'm scaling up, that thwomp felt a bit cheap only because I had no point of sight at all but other than that it was a lot of fun!

Thanks Gintami. I was hoping that starting at the top of the screen where you go down and avoid the Podoboos would allow the player to see the Thwomp waiting on the right, but one might be too focused on the Podoboos to see that. Thanks for your comments! I hope you'll check out my other levels. I definitely need to play more, as I've been addicted to making levels as I'm very interested in getting a job in game design post-graduation. :)

This and Style Savvy 3 are two 3DS titles from Nintendo I'd love to see come over to North America. Please, oh, holy Nintendo of America!

I'm still addicted to making levels in Super Mario Maker. hehe
Other than that, I'm still in the middle of my Little Battlers eXperience save data (on episode 8, I believe), and started Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer on Friday.

I'm very eager to see a new trailer. Just knowing four characters and an item mode just isn't enough. lol

I love the customization aspects of the series, so even if you can cheese your way through it like other reviews have said, I'll probably enjoy it. Really nice read!

I have a new level! Kamek's Magical Castle. It has three hidden 1-ups as usual. Can you find them all?
This is a tough but fair level.

I LOVED playing TMNT: Turtles in Time in arcades growing up. My dad would take my older brother and me to an arcade on the way home from our grandma's place, and we'd just insert quarters like crazy to keep playing with other kids and people there. Great game, and it got a great port on the SNES.

I have two new levels I made:

Bowser Jr.'s Elite Fleet is an auto-scrolling level that takes place in the sky on multiple airships and even has a ground part.

F72E-0000-003A-8AD0

Make Note of Note Blocks is basically my level 3-1, introducing note blocks into the fold. Has some tough platforming challenges near the end, so believe in yourself and you can complete it!

I've made four levels so far.

Beginner's Basics: 297E-0000-0016-C715 (I have one that is similar that is set underground that was my first level, but I didn't delete it since it got a fair amount of plays)
Cavernous Complex: 4C4F-0000-0017-47CD
Mushroom Heights:7B22-0000-0018-B2F3

I just went with Ganondorf today. I really love the details on his figure.

I see people talking about classic 8-bit Mario, but not so much about modern 8-bit Mario. Is that a function of preference or availability?

I believe here in North America that the modern 8-bit Mario is getting released at a later date.

Yours makes sense, Evan. I don't know what mine is in reference to, but I wear it like a badge of honor.

A dream of mine is to put it on a console storefront. I just have no idea how, and the cost would probably be too much for me currently. However, a friend is helping me put it on mobile devices. There will be some things to change since touch screen movement will make it harder to play, so we will need to alter some of the timing mechanics (like target times for levels).

I hope you continue to enjoy the game. It's a labor of love, and I hope it shows throughout! Thanks for your support, all! :)
