TalkBack / RE:Nintendo February Sales Data
« on: March 16, 2004, 04:50:04 PM »
FF :CC was creative, but I'm more of a single player, so most of the potential was killed on me .  Yet I enjoyed this title more than past Final Fantasy games because it's actually somewhat different.  I just wish that Games Designer's Studio makes a game concentrating on Single player, or at least co op with less Requirements.  ( If that ever happens)

EBX in Century City mall, Los Angeles is stocked with at least 8 GameCubes

Nintendo Gaming / RE:New North American (NPD) Sales Thread
« on: March 15, 2004, 02:18:43 PM »

I wish I had friends to play FF:CC, but  a lot of my friends aren't hardcore gamers.  But I still hope it sells well, because I want a better game from Akitoshi Kawazu's Game Designers Studio.

General Gaming / Sammy's Atomiswave
« on: February 26, 2004, 05:05:21 PM »

SNK is using Atomiswave as their new arcade platform, and Sega is also developing games for it.  I won't pretend that I know a lot about arcade games and their respected hardware, but this new hardware excites me because I have enjoyed SNK games on the Neo Geo MVS, and  Sega games on Hikaru, and Naomi.  If the Atomiswave is as low cost to make games for as Sammy says it is, I hope Midway can make a comeback with their Thunder series.  One thing I  hope doesn’t happen is that the Triforce hardware gets ignored because of the Atomiswave.

I enjoyed the first Turok game, but didn't care for the sequels much because they didn‘t feel like the first one (plus  I was to busy playing Golden eye).

Canadians, and Americans have been making fun of eachother for a long time.  Triumph doesn't hold back, and people  prefer to be insulted instead getting a laugh out of life.

Triumph even made fun of Hawaiian weather!  You dont see Hawaiian weather men getting mad.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Iwata and Yamamuchi Interview
« on: February 16, 2004, 03:37:32 PM »

My theory is that Hiroshi Yamauchi is exaggerating the situation.  He wants to make a big deal about the DS, because he wants everyone to take notice of it.  Nintendo hasn’t lost massive profits in the past ( only a little in the 3rd Quarter of last year).   If the DS fails, Nintendo can and will recover.

I read the reactions of  Japanese game developers when they where told about their opinion of the DS.  Most of them had good things to say, so at least people that have seen it  know it’s a good platform.

I don't think there's need for a name change. Imagine years from now, the name would become retro, and cool.(Or PlanetRob)

I haven't played this title yet, I think this was meant to be a multiplayer game though (if you can find 4 GBA-sp's, and 4 link cables for the gamecube).  What I'm going to do is rent it later, and if it's just ok I will buy it when it becomes $20.00.

« on: February 09, 2004, 07:36:03 PM »

I first read this on Gamespot, and they claim that the Nihon Keizai Shimbun article said, "  the earliest that machine(next-gen console) would be released would be 2007."  I have come to trust Planetgamecube over the years so, is it because Planetgamecube got the  official response from Nintendo of America's Director of Public Relations, Beth Llewelyn, and not Gamespot?

N-space has done some crappy games in it's history, but I'm sure Nintendo won't let them release a bad game.( I'm just a little scared)

To make fun of the likes of Tom Arnold, frankly would be all to easy.  It would be in a fact, like pooping on poop.

« on: February 07, 2004, 06:38:52 AM »

Any Robert Smigel fans in these forums?  I just love the bad special effects, and the sheer comedy genius of Triumph.   Robert doesn't even try to evade the camera anymore, so its extra funny.  I think  my favorite Triumph the Insult Comic Dog appearance was when he visited Star wars Nerds, but after that the next funniest appearances where the Dog show classics.  Wow, Triumph is so great, and amazing.................FOR ME TO POOP ON!

Maybe they can have a bunch of WWII veterans from the MOH games, and pit them against Captain America.  Or even better, all the vet's against Deadpool (scary superhuman Nazi)  I think we should give this game a break, EA can make a good fighting game if they really wanted to right.......hahahaha, no seriously let’s be positive.

I felt that the FFCC commercials in the theatres where good,  they showed a lot of videogame footage.  I haven't seen the TV commercials, because I just play games on it.

TalkBack / RE:Killer7 No Longer GameCube Exclusive
« on: January 30, 2004, 05:41:37 PM »
Dang it!!!!

This game has really good character designs, and a creepy premise about a serial killer( thumbs up in in the Rob camp).  If it's going to be a good game, at least Nintendo is going to have it exclusive for a while before it hits PS2.  But it wouldn't really sell as much gamecubes as it would have if it where exclusive; I'm not saying it was going to be a big seller, but it would have helped gamecube growth( if it's a good game) .   But aside from all that, so far its looking like a good buy from me.
