I'm willing to bet if there was "some perversion and innuendo in Symphonia", Namco translated into something else.  ;___;

Maybe Rockstar wants blood & hookers at their own convention.  And Atari wants to give away 10000000000000000 copies of the original Driver.

General Gaming / RE: Potential Dumb Move By MS
« on: July 02, 2004, 11:08:04 PM »
I don't think it is a right or wrong to release X-box 2/Xenon early.  It all depends on how MS markets the console, the games at launch and after, and how it continues to sell once the PS3 and Revolution are launched.  It all depends how MS play their cards.

All I have to say is:  next gen. is going to be really interesting!  I'm gonna make sure I have plenty of popcorn!

As I type, I'm a block away from NAL's hq.  oh noes, I'm losing IQ points as being near NAL is infectious.

I agree.  Who's to complain if you win to go to NOA hq?  It would have been better if the competition was nation wide though.

*has a massive seizure*

I can't believe no one recommended the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki OVA.  It is my favourite anime.  Goes to show all of you have bad tastes.  Not only are the character designs excellent, but each episode is executed fantastically.  And the humor and jokes?  They timed and delivered brilliantly.  I can't tell how many times I've nearly killed myself laughing. the onsen scene in ep. 4.  Washu nurse scene in ep. 7.  heck, the whole of ep. 7.  A lot of people say there is no plot in the series, but there is.  If you pay attention carefully and/or watch it multiple time, you will realise there is a deep and complex plot (and that's accounting the books too which go into even more detail, also by creater Kajishima-san.)

Oh ya, Kajishima-san and AIC; hurry up and get ep. 17 (OVA3 ep. 4) out.  The suspense is killing me.

Well, if someone else picks up the distributing rights, like maybe, EA, I don't care.  Yeah, I don't like EA, but they DO distribute GC game well in Aussie Land.  You can't get any worse than Atari.  And it's not like they even tried.

And if no one picks up the distributing rights, I'll be a sad panda.

Finally, a competition in Melbourne, but sadly, I don't like it much.  And since I play Sega > Nintendo games, I'll give it a pass.    To me, it looks like NAL are charging so they can pay their employees salary?  A grand total 5 of 'em....

The move you mentioned was 1 of the 2 moves I was thinking of, which a review mentioned about.  lol......that was the only review I've read to date that has bashed the game.

I agree w/ Bill.  Crap from 3rd parties like Atari are not really NAL's fault.  But a lot of the Aussies like to blame NAL for everything......oh dear.

General Chat / RE:Media Bias: Sony PSP vs. Nintendo DS?
« on: June 27, 2004, 06:41:36 AM »
Edge has been showing bias towards the PSP.  I subscribe the British version of PC Gamer, and in every issue, there is a ad for the next/latest EDGE issue.  The cover had a pic of the PSP in all its glory, and said: "Handheld gaming finally grows up" and no mention of the DS (on the cover I mean).  Not only that, but in the past, they've shown extreme bias towards Halo.  When they had their 2001 games award thingy, on the cover it said: "Guess how many Halo won?"  What extreme bias.

Also, a few months ago, they had the PSX on the front cover too.
