*AiAi comes back to Earth*

yeeha, i'm back after being missing (translation: went bananas) for 2 days....yep i got Super Monkey Ball 2 on Wednesday in the city for $88 and held it up a la Link!.  the store also had sonic mega collection and RE0.  I wept when i saw myself on the box art, pumping my fist in the air.  man, i rule!

am i the only person who perfers the PAL box art compared to the US?

SMB2.  rocks.  hard.  the main game is not as good as the first and i don't really like the switches.  i haven't tried the story mode, but did unlock the beginner extra levels and up to level 21 in advance.  shame in beginner you only need to not continue to unlock the extra level (although i did it without dying once) and the level 10 should have been harder.

the mini-games are way better.  monkey BOWLING rocks the mutha f**kin' world!  i love the CRAZY lanes!  tip:  GonGon is the best character to use (i got 4 strikes once on crazy lanes.  yep, i did!).  i've unlock the second stage and it's tough.  monkey target is better and i love the formation mode.  monkey race is more challenging (i haven't finished first in any course yet), monkey billiards has 4 different game modes.  the first mini-game i unlocked was monkey boat.  bad choice.  the controls feel sluggish.  next, monkey tennis!  monkey ball always bring a smile to my face!

why hasn't anyone else beside Termin8Anakin got this game?  get it guys!  BTW, Termin8Anakin wouldn't that chick you fancy be called Natalie?  lol!

i also saw COWBOY BEBOP, the movie.  if you're a fan of anime or the TV series, see it!  it was good , not great or special like Spirited Away was.  if you are one of these people who are pissed about the US getting earlier release dates, then see this movie.  it doesn't come out in the US till next month.  but i have to say it's dubbed in Japanese with English subtitles, which i didn't mind.  i'm waiting for it to come out on DVD.

see you space cowboys!

damn Disney for hardly promoting the movie.  if they had promoted like they did (and are now with VHS and DVD release) of Lilo and Stich (sp?), it would done way better.  Spirited Away was freakin' awesome, i saw it twice and can't wait for the DVD release.  the book "The Art of Spirited Away" i ordered from Amazon.com should arrive any day now.

about SMB2, i rang EB on Friday and they told me it would come out this Tuesday.  i hope they ring me tomorrow and i'll go bananas all the way to EB...after all i am AiAi...why do i have to wait so long to see myself in a freakin' game once again?

tsk, tsk!!!!

what kind of university is that?  i have used my uni library computer for any internet purpose (okay, with the exception of porn).  there are always Asians playing shockwave games and chatting.  heck, several times last year, my project group stayed to after 8pm b/c we spend to much time surfing the net instead of finishing the assignment and was SHOCKED when we got 90% for one of them.

Love Hina looks interesting to check out.  but i don't wanna buy the DVD (i don't know if i'm gonna like it).  the only store i know that rent animes is in the city, which is out of my way.  i guess i check it out to see if they have it next time i'm in the city.  and damn, i wish i could move into a all girl apartment building.

hey, does anyone know that Dendy Cinemas is showing COWBOY BEBOP, THE MOVIE?  head to www.dendy.com.au
i'm gonna see it this wed/thu.

BTW, i pre-ordered Zelda at EB, and never got told about getting a free memory card (are you sure this is correct?).
and i was given the bad news....

are you ready?

it has been delayed to May 30th.  yikes!

hey, anyone get nintendo australia's member newsletter?  yeah, when i clicked it, i hoping it would be about the zelda bonus disc (so i can wet my pants), but no, they were hyping the GBA SP.  *sign*

and mario, why didn't u tell me u would be at melbourne?  we could've staged a riot at nintendo australia's HQ.  i've never been to the GP, except been outside the fence (and climbing the fence as well).  i don't find it useful going if you can't see the whole track, only seeing a small portion of it.  my old school was a block away from Albert Park (on St Kilda road), and my year 12 physic class teacher took us down there (hence, us student climbing the fence to see the cars).  i always found it funny that other schools further from Albert Park would close down during the GP, and mine didn't.  and purple uniforms ruled, oh yeah!

Infernal Monkey,  i've never heard of Love Hina?  what it's about? (checking it out at madman.com.au) i like anime as much as the next person and Voltron ruled the day.  i am currently really enjoying watching Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040.  chicks that kick ass make for entertaining TV.

and you guys should lay off the moonshine...

me: but i need to go bananas, i can't wait a week
parent: well it's really 4 days from today.  stuff this banana in your month for the time being.
me: okay

thanks for the EB info.  and yeah, i'll see sue them if they give the $10 in EB gift vouchers.

shame there's no Domayne in Victoria.  but i guess it saved me from buying more games.  i've got a full house of games to play at the moment.

yesterday (friday), i was in the city and went to myers (grace bros.) to get SMB2.  seeing it not on the shelf, i went to counter and ask the guy.  he told me the distribution was on strike and they were 3-4 weeks behind stock.  WTF?  nice way of running a department store myers!  so i went target and again, they didn't have it.  they guy at the counter didn't know much, except he said they may get it in the afternoon.  so i went bananas (okay, not really).  tomorrow (sunday), i give my local EB and target a ring.  or i'll go bananas again.

Termin8Anakin, i live in Melbourne and go to Swinburne University of Technology in Hawthorn.  it's a rather small uni.

Infernal Monkey, i don't accept a paper clip and IDs...

have any of you guys pre-ordered a game at EB?  i thinking of pre-order zelda now just in case nintendo australia decides to get off their ass and give us the bonus disc.  can you cancel a pre-order and get the $10 deposit back?  because i might if nintendo australia doesn't and get it from europe.

I loved it when Billy said: "...or Louie the Cat as a secret character in the next Smash Brothers."  That line is gold.  Anyone for Louie the Cat vs Meowth?????....

anyway, i have fridays off.  most weeks i have one hour on monday, tuesday and thursday (which is annoying), and 8.30 to 2.30 on wednesday.  heck, my friend only classes on wednesday and fridays.  wicked!

Termin8Anakin i persume it's your first year at uni?  enjoy university, and yeah, classes are usually boring in the first week.  unless you have a lecturer like me who uses the words/phases: wanker, bastard, poor ol' bastard, bloody bastard.  no, really!  there was a Pepsi stand (which i said to my friend; "Where's Britney Spears?") and a Ikea stand (huh?) at my university.  the Pepsi stand were offering free tasting with the cans covered!  like in the commercial.  and the girls were kinda like booth babes at E3, which PGC seem to love!  not that i was distracted or anything.

BTW, Infernal Monkey, i went to my local Harvey Norman store and they were not having a GC sale or giving away stock (most games were at 99.95 and i did ask the store person).  you own me $3 for the petrol i wasted!

and super monkey ball 2 is released this friday (and i've got friday off)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....yee ha!  time to go bananas once again (No.  You are not! - A Friend).  check out http://www.australia.infogrames.com.au, they've got all the release dates and info on sega games.

that was a stupid poll.  couldn't they have come up with something better?

like:

Should a riot be allowed at Nintendo Australia if they do not offer the Zelda bonus disc?
Yes? or
No?

and i think i'll go to harvey norman before my 3.30pm university class.  man, isn't university life good or what?

same here.  i've never had a N64 (okay,  okay, shoot me.  i was a PC fanboy back then!), therefore never played OoT. and i want the game really bad.  i'll be disappointed if Nintendo Australia decides not to.

hmmm...i don't see GC sales picking up.  if nintendo australia doesn't advertise, the average Joe won't know.  why would the average Joe want to pick a GC with a free game if their perception of nintendo is "kiddy"?  Capcom should have advertised RE (i don't know if they did, i hardly watch network TV) and should do so with the forthcoming RE0.  Nintendo should have done the same with ED (again if they didn't), and should shove Metroid Prime down our throat.

i know i'm bitching, but i don't see sales picking up.  i'll stop now.
