HALO is a great game, way better than golden eye IMO. I would love to know how many people here who say crap about HALO havent even played it.

God I hate fanboys.

huh?  i know more gamers who prefer playing on PCs than in front of their TV.  secondly, FPS is best suited for the PC.  i can't imagine using the control stick over the mouse.  the mouse is way better.

True story:
This morning, i had the weirdest dream.  i dreamed of being in the video games section in a store and hurried to the Gamecube kiosk to try out Metroid Prime.  A little kid got there at the same time and we argued who got there first till i took the controller.  just when i started the demo....i was woken up!  talk about timing!  the fact i had the dream on the day Metoid Prime comes out is pure coincidence.  Is the game trying to tell me something?  (and i'm not making this dream up.  it's true!)

Another true, but sad story:
Yesterday when i walked to the gym, i saw three small cars with an advertisement trailer attached, one behind the other parked.  i looked to see what the ad was and saw the DOA:XV logo on the back.  the side had, not a picture of one of the girls, but in fact a close up cleavage shot, the kind that would excite junior highschool boys.  "Oh dear," i thought and wondered what it was doing in my turf.  anyone else seen them around?

I didn't have time to take a photo of Infernal, cause I was too busy laughing my head off and cheering him on. It was funny as hell. There were these guys that had video cameras that got footage of him. I wonder if they've joined the forums yet? I told people that I was doing this for Planet Gamecube, and they've all heard of it. How cool is that?
I'm happy that al least Animal Crossing is coming out here, but i don't know if I'll buy it. Too busy trying to save up for Metroid Prime and Zelda.

Which reminds me:

METROID PRIME IS OUT TOMORROW! WAHHOOOOOO!

And geez, you'd better put a pic up of urself. you owe us at least that.
we put our lives at stake in revealing our identites (but then I've been doing that with my website for the last three years - you should have seen my website when it was first made. It wasn't Nintendo, Inc. back then. It was just the plain old angelfire url - weird when i look back on it).

i figure that was why you couldn't get a pic of infernal monkey....i guess i can only imagine....

as for metroid prime, i think i'll give the game a rent first (what?  are you crazy?)  no.  i just get this feeling that i may not like it.  you know, sometimes you get this feeling that you are really going to like a game (like i did with monkey ball)....well, i don't feel the same way with metroid prime.

as for a pic of me, see below (i thought it was a pretty detailed picture!)

blast.  when i was really young, i had friends who had nintendo.  i remember playing the first zelda game on the NES with a friend and we tried to complete the game together.  we went as far to call nintendo hotline for help!  i never had the SNES, but another friend did, and we played mario kart all the time.  it was the best multiplayer game at the time.  ahh...these were the days.

but today, i don't have any friends who have nintendo.  they have PS2 and/or play on PCs (and i don't like online games).  *sobs*

Termin8Anakin, good work on your article.  i hope you enjoyed your 15 minutes of fame.  maybe this will be the break you'll need to get into journalism?

however, i was disappointed there was not a picture of Infernal Monkey doing the Link dance.  not happy!  and funny i now know what you 3 fellas look like!  hehe...you'll NEVAR know what i look like!  (He looks like a devil - A Parent)

i was surprised that Animal Crossing is still coming to Aussie Land.  i thought it had been canned.  any word on the release date?  there's only one thing i can say about the game:  there's goes my life!  *flushes life down the toilet, buh-bye!*

in the February PC Gamer magazine (see my signature below) had a link to a Lego fan site recreating the M.C. Escher "Ascending and Descending", "Balcony" and "Belvedere" designs with Lego bricks.  u really gotta see it to believe it (but of cause, they had to add some tricks to get it to look right)

Mario! Infernal Monkey! Don't tell them anything about the event until i post the report! Not even about all the things we won!

I don't want to spoil the good stuff!

I feel sorry for all you people in other states. Haha.

So wait until my report, and then we'll talk!

Oh, and I have pictures too!

Termin8Anakin, why don't u get a giant paddle and hit Infernal Monkey in the head!  i read his journal (nicely done, BTW), and he already revealed lots.  anyone got pics of him dancing?  i wanna see it!

so yeah, i'm jealous.  real jealous.  you folks were getting free stuff while i was at a Kathmandu sale (got a beanie half price which i look cute in!) and doing my lab report.  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  if i ever see you folks, run from me b/c i'll be carrying a shiny axe...real shiny...

BTW, that event made me wonder.  if nintendo australia can host an event and give away lots of free stuff (plus a holiday), why can't they advertise more?

i knew SonMay and Ever Anime were bootleg brands, but the CDs i were looking for where out of stock and not getting any more (i checked cd japan, anime nation, game music etc) and had no other option.  also, i really did not want to pay an insane amount for a legit CD.  and,  you are right about ebay.

Nintendo Gaming / Why Is Eternal Darkness Regarded So Highly?
« on: March 27, 2003, 03:30:42 PM »
i haven't read the whole thread, but i have to say i don't get what's so good about this game.  when i first started playing it, i played it for a few hours each time, but then i eventually started to get bored.  i haven't finished it one path.  heck i haven't even touched it for nearly 2 months.

the gameplay is nothing special.  the sanity and magick are nice, but it doesn't feel like anything special.  the story is original, but it fails to immerse me in and wanting to know what will happen next.  and i have no intentions to complete all three paths.  i just want to finish it on the red path and sell it.

the only really good thing i have to say is the voice acting.  excellent and perhaps the best i've heard in a game.

what i don't get is why doesn't the whole world agree to one TV format standard?

i know it would take time and money for a country to change it's format, but i would make things easier down the road

you're in luck.  i've found this australian anime online store a while ago:
www.tamarket.com.au

they got heaps of stuff, from anime/game soundtracks to manga, poster and DVDs.

but be careful, not all the music CDs they sell are the original japanese version (which can be expensive), which they list.  some of them are from Taiwan (ie: copies), brand names like SonMay and Ever Anime.  there's nothing wrong with them, i ordered a few myself.  i was sort of happy with their service (although the CDs case was a bit damaged)

and yes, amazon do ship international.

i guess i'll be fiddling my thumbs tomorrow...no, wait, i'll write up my lab report.  arggghhh, i don't wanna do that.

damn you Sydney folks

it takes a lot to offence to me!  that was nothing, i'm afraid.

melbourne is a beautiful city to live.  it has been voted as the best city to live several times.  no joking.

BTW, no surprise that Sonic DX will have all the GameGear games.  seems like SonicTeam are determined to have every Sonic game made on the planet on GC (which makes Infernal Monkey happy i guess).  heck, Sonic Chaos and my GameGear still works after all these years...and maybe i should really get around to completing this game once and for all...

i saw a GBA SP advertisement on a bus stop i was walking past today.  is was kinda funny: a bug playing metroid fusion on GBA SP in the dark, battling the queen bug (or whatever it is).

and i haven't seen a metroid ad.  it is a gold mine

Game: Tie Fighter
System: PC
Year: 1994 (i think)

who could forget this game?  a space simulation in which you got to fly for the Empire (who could resist that?) and got to blast down these Rebel scums!   it also had a good storyline about a traitor within the Empire.  nothing beats having Darth Vadar as your wingman.
