Raptors are chokers. If not Cleveland, it will be Boston or Philly. They have zero chance.

Also, LeBron signing and bringing over a bunch of old people he's played against. Where have I seen that move before?

Was it worth it, Magic? wink wink

Hopefully this means solid state prices drop hard and fast.
Switch will reap the benefit as they can hopefully eventually fit the 2TB Final Fantasy XX on a cart w/ practically 0 (zero) load times, No more 3rd party excuses.

You're kidding, right?

Donovan Mitchell got robbed, and by a middling player in the Leastern Conference who's not even a Rookie, no less.  ::)

::)  right back at ya with that bogus statement.

Now that's what I call "I'm using tilt controls!" Vol. 2

Just a correction: Save the World mode in Fortnite is not available on Switch yet.

Also Fortnite kicks you to the eShop when you want to buy V-Bucks (the in-game currency). On your eShop email receipt it notes the Switch as the platform so they know what platform you're buying the currency from.

I still averaged around 1,000 points a match and was almost always the top player on my team. And no matter how good you are, the maximum # of Splat points you can get a match is 2 if the rest of your team sucks.
 Good grief.

Splatoon's MMR system (the power ratings you get at the start of a match) is such a mystery I almost can't really trust it.

Throwing some numbers into this discussion.

According to Akamai, the average internet speed in the United States is just 18.7Mbps, which would deliver just 720p at 60fps. Worse, a quarter of homes in the U.S. are unable to get broadband-level speeds, which is defined as 25Mbps or higher. In fact, only one in five houses can get 25Mbps. Which means only one in five houses could effectively stream games—and even then, not at the quality they might be accustomed to when playing directly off a console.

I'll pay more attention to what I am selecting next time I jump in. I assumed the default mode was a complete FFA style match.

If you play any mode that is not solo you also have the option to fill a squad or not. If you do you'll be placed in a team with 3 other randoms. If not you'll play the mode by yourself.

There are no games scheduled specifically for Q1 2019 (just general 2019 dates, or second half 2019 for Pokemon games), so not sure why you think Q1 will be too crowded.

Yeah, Nintendo hasn't really confirmed anything for Q1. But pretty much every other publisher is bringing a highly anticipated title to PS4/X1/PC during January/February/March. So for many people the time for Switch gaming is before that.

I was one of those people. Thankfully I never spent any actual money on the game (only got the free PS Plus and Twitch goodies) so it doesn't hurt me. But you never really want to make two accounts with two different emails, specially with a company like Epic who hasn't been very helpful with the theft and selling of Fortnite accounts and their lackadaisical approach to two-factor authentication.

Very bummed out about the delay, but even the cutscenes stuttered pretty badly. I hope the game is fully optimized by the time it comes out.

Was not expecting this tomorrow.

Pichu main, btw.

I have a feeling they couldn't find the fun in the game. Everything that I saw felt very generic in terms of gameplay and feel.

Switch is good for scrubs like me because there are even bigger scrubs who haven't really played the game. Anyway here are some tips:

- Voice chat is coming on the 14th. You don't need the stupid phone app. As long as you can plug it in the headphone jack it should work
- You get a random character every time unless you buy a specific skin.
- Most people are choosing to populate their Epic friends list with people from their Switch list. But I think it doesn't happen until the other person chooses the same option.
- Learn to build. Go to the options and choose the "Builder Pro" setup and practice with it. The only way you can consistently get good finishes is by learning to build fast. Don't be afraid to go to highly populated areas (Tilted Towers, Dusty Divot, Pleasant Park, Retail Row) because that's the best way to practice shooting and building. You'll die but you'll get better at the game.
- Shields! Drink the mini potions first and then the big one. Mini potions only refill the first 50 HP of your shields.
- Shotguns got nerfed but I still think the tactical shotgun is very good for close combat. I love assault riffles for medium-long range combat. I've never gotten used to the way sniper rifles work in the game so I never use them.
- If you don't want to build you need to be very stealthy. Avoid building/drawing attention to yourself and pray that the circle guides you to areas with lots of cover. That's how I got my first solo win and it can be a good tactic early on when so many people are still learning the game.

The button mashing of the original arcade game appears to be replaced with Joy-Con shaking.

It's 2018 why do devs still think this is a good idea?

I'm done buying plastic crap for games so this is a hard pass which is a shame because it looks nice.

According to dataminers Fortnite is already on the eShop and will be released tomorrow.

Devolver's epic event gave us My Friend Pedro, coming to Switch 2019. It also confirmed that they're remaking FromSoftware's Metal Wolf Chaos but unfortunately that one is not coming to Switch.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, announced at Microsoft's event, will also be coming to Switch.
