Ya, never thought of the advertising side of it, they need to get that right. They should do some stuff to catch people off guard. Like "wii will be right back, after these commercials" I thought the "touching is good" promo they did for DS was pretty good and got some attention.

The other thing that does worry me is in store Kiosks. This is something they absolutly have to get right if they want people to follow the whole "Playing = Believing" thing. They have to find a way to secure the product, but still have it function almost wirelessly. Although I didn't see how they were set-up at E3, so I'm sure they got it all figured out.

I like free stuff, what can I say. Although my buddy just showed me the new EGM and it still calls Wii the Revolution...wasn't that named changed quite a while ago? I mean, they had information about the speaker in the controller, so it was fairly up to date.  What the hell

Oh, here's something that could go very, very wrong....people waiting in line overnight dressed as a Wii-mote.

What else could go wrong....ummmm, we all end up loving it so damn much that we take a month off work and all lose our jobs,

Some highlights
"Non-Nintendo characters added into the game MUST have appeared on a Nintendo platform. The tentative number of non-Nintendo characters to be added is 1-2."
"Not all characters will return."

Go check the link for more info.

HAHA...the sony fanboys are worse than the nintendo fanboys. Sony didn't steal the motion idea from Nintendo, but Nintendo stole it from Microsoft...hahahahahaha

Long time coming

I still don't get it, if it was two years in the making why the hell make the batarang prototype?

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Mario Galaxy Multiplayer....
« on: June 06, 2006, 08:16:35 AM »
Well I think the old games should be left as is but have the option to change things

Imagine the orignal Donky Kong...except one player could actually control DK and choose when to throw the barrels and stuff. Or playing as Bowser in super mario brothers. Or maybe Super Mario brothers similar to Four Swords, with four Mario's on the screen! Just a few random thoughts, doubt they would happen but fun to think of

Um yeah, he has a brother.

But I think what he's talking about is maybe having one person control the little star pointer and have the other control Mario. Or maybe have the second player be able to control the enemies, counter-op style!

"it would allow one player to control Mario, with the other players using the Wii Remote to help him out or get in his way"

Just came accross this thought I would share.

You can find the link HERE

E3... it was fun. We saw Wii, we saw new DS stuff and we finally saw the spiritual sequel to Mario 64 in the form of Super Mario Galaxy. Innovative, good looking and a joy to play... pity we didn't get more information. Well, ONM snatched a few words with Shigeru Miyamoto and managed to gleam a few more details about the game. Such as whether it'll make launch...

"It is progressing quite well, but as you may have heard, it's often said that when I get involved in a project I upend the tea table and that tends to delay things! so rather than promise everyone it'll be a launch title for now and then have to break that promise later, I'll say no for now but say that if it's not a launch title it'll be out within the first six month of launch."

So we'd already deduced this already, luckily the short interview got a lot more interesting when the question of multiplayer in Mario Galaxy came up...

"One thing I've always wanted to do with the Mario games is alow for one player to play as Mario and for other players to join in. The way that the Wii Remote works, given that we can have up to four Wii Remotes using the player functionality simultaneously,it would allow one player to control Mario, wih the other players using the Wii Remote to help him out or get in his way ."

Interesting stuff, so one character... one game... but four players. However the next line is really the best bit of the interview.

"I think implementing this functionality into past games could make for some exciting changes"

Past games? So does this mean that the implementation of the Wii Remote into VC games is back on? Here's hoping...

Stick with C3 for more news as we get it..

OK, I found this kinda funny. That logo isn't very original. I was sitting on BART (that's the subway type system in the Bay Area) and happened to look up at a poster on the wall. It's an ad for a website called we-matter

Now I was sitting there looking at how familar their logo looks...check it out.

HAHAHA..

Funny how the controller kinda looks like an iPod shuffle, and the whole system as the sleek Apple look...wouldn't that be crazy is Steve Jobs had his hands in Nintendo...

OK, maybe this is looking to far into it but it says
" Introducing … Wii.

As in “we."

While the code-name “Revolution" expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer. "

Now, that may not mean that they are going to change the name of the console....it could be something else. Even on their website all it says is revolution has a new name...does that mean that the name is changed or that Wii is a new revolution....of course then I read it more and it says "wii as a name and a console" and get bummed out again. But the fact that on their website it still says revolution just gives me too much hope...maybe I should just wait til E3...sigh.
