 that's what i originally thought, and it makes sense.  what i found out was that, the same kind of trainer determines it.  like, team rockets trigger pinsir, and so far, that's what has happened.  but how come that youngster on the route to Bill's is the only place Mew is triggered.  did Nintendo mean for that to happen.  what i'm thinking, is that all the pokemon, including mew, were programmed into both games, red and blue.  only some were locked away from a certain version.  so gameshark simply unlocked it.  anyone know if you get a level 7 mew using gameshark?

i went there looking to download.  i get to the downloads page and it won't let me.  every time i click on a dowload link thing or a mirror site, my browser says it can't be found, and then press refresh. refresh never  works.  ever. know of any other sites i could download off?

i have only red version.  so i was trying to get mew, right, and i made a mistake and accidently flew to cledon.  i fought a guy in the casino place so i could use start agin and i used the under ground tunnel to go back to the gambler.  well, when i got there, the start menu popped up.  i didn't save a nd i stepped back into the house where the underground tunnel is and a wild, level 7 pinsir showed up.  so, doing the gambler trick triggers wild rare pokemon encounters.  is pinsir supposed to only be in blue?  if it is, then one might not need both copies to complete his or her collection.

i would absolutly love that.  the best of both worlds.  i loved the cel-shading, but i wasn't overly fond of the new Link model.

to answer your first question.  i 'm not entirely sure.  from first glance, i thought the SP's regular screen(no light) was extremely dark, darker than the original.  but upon further reveiw,  think they're the same.  but i'm not positive.  i don't have my old GBA anymore so i don't know.  just be glad foir the SP.  as for your second question, i have no clue.  i'm not sure if this post was helpful or not.  oh well...

i currently subscribe to NIntendo Power.  mainly because there might be demo disks included.  plus, when you subscribe or renew, you get a free players guide.  but i totally agree with the reveiw thing.  i'm probably going to subscribe to GMR.  it's onlt ten bucks, plus, special used and trade in offers?  that=good.

know what.  i bought it anyway.  i know i'm stupid, but here's my story.  i put this thread up at the last minute, and i needed replies fast.  well, one thing led to another, and i had forgotten about it untill i was like, at the store.  oh well, i didn't buy pokemon because, well, just because.  i'll kill myself if there's a price drop for the SP, but  i thought it'd be too soon.  nintendo's not gonna release a new gameboy,  so i figured i'd be safe. thanks for your input anyway, i'll take it into consieration "next time"

okay, i know i've said alot about keeping my original GBA.  that was then, this is now.  i've finally played the GBASP in the dark.  i'm getting one.  i figured i'd go to gamestop or something and pick up that and pokemon ruby.  that's, including tax, $140.07.  for me, alot.  i figured i'd sell my GBA and GBC on ebay for (GBA) $40, and (GBC) $25 (i've seen new ones go for 40 so i'm not sure what will happen)  but they could go for less.  i'm just worried i'll get less on ebay then expected and have a huge hole in my pocket.  i need someone to tell me what they'd do.  to back me up, or call me an idiot, either way i'm fine.

okay then, let me start off by saying you have lack of gameing knowlege and/or gba experience.  so,  i would defidently reccomend metroid fusion.  you said rpg's weren't your cup of tea, so A Link to the Past is great.  some great pick up and play games are Mario Kart and Super Monkey ball jr.  kirby is short but sweet, a good pick up and play.  but difedently super mario world, if you don't have it for the SNES.  but you should really give rpg's a try.  golden sun 1+2 are great, as well as pokemon.  oh well...

i want a GBASP.  but apparently EB's great offer ended and a GBA trade in is only $25.  so i was wondering if i could sell some other Game Boys to make up for it.  could anybody tell me how much a GBC is going for.  i thought it was $15, which would exactly make up for the missed offer.

i tried to buy a SNES with super metroid and other classics (mario, starfox, zelda) but i ended up winning the games and not the system.  so i told the guy i was an 11 year old from Ohio and i didn't know what i was doing.  he stopped emailing me after that... Oh, and i onlocked the original metroid from the metroid prime/fusion connection and it was horrible.  just thought i'd add that.

okay.  metroid prime was my first metroid game .  i was great, and everyone said it was really like a true metroid game.  well, i liked it, but to me, it didn't deliver what i expected.  metroid fusion, the different one, i found much more enjoyable.  is there anybody else who feels this way?
