You're ignoring one painfully obvious point, Ian.
Once non-gamers begin playing games, THEY BECOME GAMERS.

Some aspects of the Revolution will appeal to people who do not play games (my mother already wants one at the house, and she's lost interest in games since Wave Race 64, up til the DS came out).  Others will appeal immensely to gamers.  Some will be in-between.  It's ignorant to think Nintendo will abandon "gamers".  They'll just lead non-gamers to realize they can enjoy "gamer" games.

Vudu, those both still hearken to their original identifiers, sound and video.  Graphics have relatively little to do with gameplay. (To add to this, graphics have affected the way games are played, the transition into 3D was a change in many ways, and the graphics on current gen consoles made even more possible.  However, this next jump, even with the most powerful console (PS3), will provide virtually nothing that we couldn't do this generation).

I do believe that games should push the limits of their technical power, and look and sound as good as possible.  However, all the griping about the Revolution being underpowered is ridiculous.

That's around the time Wind Waker released.  And that would be mighty nice, to have summer to play the brilliance that is Zelda.

Do you need to score if you have a condom that vibrates?  I mean, during intercourse, wouldn't that make you reach climax, shall we say, much more quickly?

I dunno.  I've never had my genitalia vibrated before.

Is that true Don'tHate?  If so, that's very interesting.  Yeah, source please.

I don't remember the trigger clicks being a huge important secret, but I wasn't a big user of the internets for Nintendo info back then.  So who knows.

Ian, your logic is totally flawed.  First you complain about the new controller.  Nintendo provides a shell because they realize it's impractical to jump straight into an entirely new medium of control.  Many developers, Nintendo included, will make plenty of games using the new controller.
Also, Nintendo is utterly capable of making games with a standard controller, better games than most other developers are making.  However, they're the only people in the industry who create hardware and are willing to innovate and take a risk.  Plenty of developers innovate in their games, and Nintendo does as well, but Nintendo is the only company that's willing to broaden the field of gaming and our minds as gamers.

That's no goddamn reason to complain.

Saving is the only thing I'm really OCD about.  Sometimes I'll save a game three times in a row (especially if it doesn't take long, like Zelda games), just to make sure

I imagine with the Rev controller, the gun would show up on the screen depending on where you held the controller.  For example, if you let your arm down while walking around it might drop out of view, but it'd show up in an appropriate place on-screen while you shot.

First, I really hope you're not referring to the hole in the giant blue dome that's in the center of the goddamn island, because if you are that's kinda sad. Second, how can you think you found everything (and you mean 100%) in the game when you're still missing sea charts, treasures, and heart pieces?

First off, no, I'm not.  I'm talking about the other hole, the one you don't seem to be aware of.  The one that you can't enter without the hookshot, where you fight several summoning Wizrobes.

And I thought one could logically infer, from what I said, that I thought I'd achieved 100%, excluding the obvious exception of sea charts and hearts, which I mention.  Let's not, y'know, actually attempt to understand what someone is saying by understanding the entire paragraph, rather than one sentence taken out of context.

I don't get the rage for Kid Icarus.  I mean, Nintendo made one Kid Icarus game, right?  Supposedly it's really good (I never got into, stopping after about twelve  seconds), but still.  That's one game, and Nintendo has plenty of other dead franchises or hey, maybe they could make a new one.
Still, if it's true and the game turns out to be good, that's great.

Totally heard about this last night, I was like why can't my squirrels be like that.  I had a pet squirrel once, but all it did was be cute and crawl in people's hair.  Not nearly vicious enough.

I did see a squirrel fall out of a tree once, right into the middle of the road.  I'd never seen a squirrel fall before.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go nominate Russian squirrels for the worldwide Fist award.
