Nintendo Gaming / Donkey Konga
« on: September 13, 2004, 03:16:51 PM »
I went to minneapolis this weekned and i went to the Mall of America.  And several stores had the new nintendo demos with pikmin2 paperMario2 and mario pinball land.  But when i went to a circuit city in North Saint Paul they had all those games and a Donkey Konga Demo.  This may not be the deepest game but playing donkey konga was a blast.  My reflexes suck and it was very difficult but i still had fun.  They had like 6 songs playable all the small things, wild thing, donkey konga theme,2 songs i havent heard of, and you cant hurry love (by the supremes, HAHA).  But i didnt get a chance to look at all the game modes, does anybody know them? How did you guys think of it?  Nintendo is really making it hard for us poor kids.  I dont know if i should get Donkey Konga Paper Mario 2 or Mario Tennis all three look great

thats the link that talks about square giving us another game.  It seems like it will be either a new title or a game from the SAGA series.  What the heck is the the SAGA series?

Nintendo Gaming / Title Overload
« on: August 26, 2004, 05:04:43 PM »
You proably all heard of the massive number of good titles coming our way this christmas season.  With Paper Mario, Mario Tennis,Viewtiful Joe2, Metroid Prime2, Mario Party 6, Mortal Kombat(not sure if its coming this year or not), and holdovers Pikmin 2,X-Men,Madden 2005 and get on the Mic and get on the floor seem kinda fun, along with the multitude of GBA games do you think Ninty is throwing to much at us at one time.  And they still want us to purchase a DS.  A teen like myself doesnt know what to do seeing he can proably only get 1 maybe 2 new games.  Though there is something for everyone here, what do you guys think are they overloading us too much

Nintendo Gaming / Get on the MIC/FLoor
« on: August 26, 2004, 04:58:33 PM »
The developer XS games announced they will be shipping two titles called Get on the Mic, and Get on the Floor.  These must be the gamecube's answer to Karoke and Dance Dance Revolution. I love this idea, though i cant sing or dance and i would have to move my gamecube to set up get on the floor (bed's in the way, to heavy to move) it would be cool to rent this for when my friends come over and stuff.  Has anyone heard a price on either of these? Get on the MIC proably uses the Mario Party 6 mic and a Dance pad has to be included with Get on the floor.

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Party 6
« on: August 26, 2004, 04:45:58 PM »
Ive always been a Mario Party fan, I played them all except 5, and i own 2 and 4.  I was dissapointed with 4, the minigames were just not very fun.  But i am excited about MP6.  The microphone controller that will come with the game sounds really cool, I always drool over Karokke Revolution on the PS2.  But how this will work into a Mario Party game doesnt really make sense.  Any body have any ideas how they could use this in the minigames except for the obvious Karooke, and question answering aspect.  I suppose you wont have to use the mic for the whole game.  The stupid thing is that if you play together with 3 people you will most likely have to have 4 of those controllers. I just thought this mic idea is very interesting

Nintendo Gaming / Why no christian games
« on: August 24, 2004, 03:26:09 PM »
I was thinking the other day, in TV,MUSIC, and Movies there are Christian types of that media.  And i was wondering why there were no christian video games.  It is a great way to spread gods word to millions of people.  And parents would love to buy these games for there kids.  I know a lot of game developers are jappaneese and most jappanesse are not christian, but there is alot of north American and European developers out there.  I am aware of only one christian game, i think it was on the nes, never played it but i read a review and it was based on the bible and it wasnt very fun.(the bible's great for saving peoples souls but not much of a blueprint for a video game).  So why no christian games

Nintendo Gaming / Mock Revolution launch titles
« on: August 01, 2004, 11:31:40 AM »
Heres a places where we can talk about the possible launch titles for the revolution.  Its hard because we dont know whats so revolutionary about it but we can try it anyway.
1.Mario 128- Ninty has to put out a Mario game at launch and this delayed GC games will be a hit
2.Resident Evil 5-Capcom trademarked the name for this game, and it should do well like its predecessors
3. Viewtiful Joe 3- Same as above
4. Super Smash brothers revolution- SSB's long awaited chance at online gaming
5.EA Sports lineup
6.New Nitendo franchise- You know Ninty will launch a new franchise so heres a spot
7.  Tales of Whateveria-  Namco brings it's succesful series to the REV
8.Punch Out revoloution- I hope, i hope, i hope
9. Animal crossing 3- To be released a couple monthes later the communication game gets new features
10.  City of Heros 2- This great MMORPG will never happen on the Rev but i can hope
11. Sims: out of this world- the next sims franchise allowing you to deal with the ins and outs of life in space
12.TMNT- The turtles in a half shell get the Revolution launched with a Multiplayer online beat em up
13.Splinter Cell 4-Fisher beats up terrorists again
14.Spiderman the Movie 4- Hopefully someone other than Activision makes this game
15.ESPN Sports line up- Sega and ESPN bring there sports lineup back, I hope
well those 15 games would be one heck of a launch hey lets hope it looks something like this

Nintendo Gaming / A grown up Pokemon on the DS
« on: July 31, 2004, 06:45:09 PM »
To those who dont know the great game pokemon is, try it.  Its no secret nintendo is trying to get kids into the series by making it kiddy freindly with fire red and leaf green, but i would like the series to take a diffrent turn.  Since the DS is for more mature gamers then the GBA this makes sense.  Pokemon suprisingly has a backing from older gamers as well.  If they make the battles harder, put more puzzles and stuff in there and make the cartoon graphics alittle more edgy i can see it making money.  They dont have to hamper with the story but if they can think of something better then the same old plot 70 times in a row that would be cool.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green
« on: July 31, 2004, 06:20:37 PM »
Hey, Im a very big pokemon fan from the start, i watched the tv show, i ahd teh card game, and i had pokemon red.  Now that im older i just play the games, which i still love, i think they are the second best RPG series in gaming, and Sapphire/ruby is on my top 5 games of all time list.  But i wanna know do you guys think Red/Green are worth it.  They are the same games that i have already played before and nintendo is charging a ridiclous 40 buck price.  Do you think the couple new additions they put it are worth it? and does anybody know what the key additions are that will benefit a guy who knows the pokemon universe inside and out? (Its easy to see there target audience is now kids)

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Tennis GC
« on: July 27, 2004, 10:53:44 AM »
I just took a look at this article  http://www.gcadvanced.com/article.php?artid=2841 , about the new Mario Tennis, its from Famitsu.  It looks like Nintendo really wanted this game to be really good, considering how much time they took on it.  The article doesnt give too much specifics but it does let you know that its gonna be a good game.  Does anybody know who the heck Thresea the Ghost is? She is a confirmed playable character.

Nintendo Gaming / DS launch games
« on: July 15, 2004, 10:33:27 AM »
The Ds launch is coming quickly, not only does  the DS not have a final name, i see no guaranteed launch titles.  Have you guys heard anything or have you any guesses on what these launch titles might be.  It seems like the hardcore DS 3rd part support will com later so im confident this system will have a lot of great titles.  Also can anyone give me any info on a DS title called "Nintendogs" that i found in my EGM. Thanx

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Tennis!!!!
« on: July 15, 2004, 10:10:25 AM »
Hey whats going on with the new Mario Tennis title.  I loved playing this title for the 64 it is one of the more timeless titles the 64 had to offer.  Is there gonna be a story mode of something to justify a 50 bucks purchase.  Does anybody know which characters will be playable and if there will be unlockables like there were in Mario Kart.  I thought tennis was coming out in 2005 but i heard in another thread that it is coming in December. Can anyone abck that up? Thanks

Nintendo Gaming / Memory Card Rip-off
« on: July 12, 2004, 04:49:44 PM »
This is another case on Nintendo snubbing off its loyal fans that happily purchased a cube for double the price it is now.  Sports games are one of my favorite generes and they take up a lot of memory.  And at launch all you could buy were the dinky 59 block memory cards for 20 bucks.  If you were a sports gamer you had to at least have two 1 for madden or what not and 1 for other games.  But if you want to play another sports title or a game that requires alot of blocks you had to buy another.  Thats 60 bucks.  I was happy when the mem card 251 card came out.  But now that the 1050 block(or so) card came out i feel ripped off.  We loyal fans paid twice as much for the gamecube when it came out, we had to pay threw the ears for memory, plus we dont get he sega sports games(just had to throw that in there), im kind of upset with nintendo.

Nintendo Gaming / Publishers going to pass on DS because its DS
« on: June 27, 2004, 04:28:49 PM »
What ive been reading in magizines and on the net and from what i hear publishers might pass on the DS for a bad reason.  They cant think of a good use for the second screen. There going to pass on marketing good titles to the DS because of that.  Nintendo cant think of good uses for it but they still are releasing games on that platform and are putting maps and stuff that arent really of much use.  What ninty should do is make an on/off switch for one of both of the screens to say that if you dont want two screens and its not a necisity in the game you dont have to have two screens.  That should said a good message to the developers.  Of course the developers could be saying that because they dont really want to support the DS and they want an excuse.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendos new trademarks
« on: June 02, 2004, 03:31:19 PM »
I got this from ultimategamez.com it seems that nintendo registered some more trademarks but none make much sense, but here they are anyway.
COMMANDERPACK
COMMANDER
MISSION
Manebito/Camera
Ningen-Copy/Manebito
Peach Hime

It said Peach Hime means princess so there's proably some pricness peach game, WOOOOOO.  Could nintys new peripheral be the Manebito/Camera or perhaps the Commander Pack.  A thing similar to the eyetoy would be crazy but with a nintendo twist.

General Gaming / Segas big announcement
« on: April 29, 2004, 05:04:23 PM »
Rumor(from a trusted GC site) has it that sega has a suprise that "we wont be able to guess" planned for E3.  I know they said we cant guess but what do you guys think it might be? A possible return to the hardware business, with Game Gear2 or something like this.  It cant be simply another sonic game because that would not be worth of all the hype they are giving it.  Will it even be on the GC if it is software will be another question.  So what do all of you guys think of this?

Nintendo Gaming / Final Fantasy 1 and 2
« on: April 12, 2004, 12:51:04 PM »
Well square did like the rumor said, there making a remake of old final fantasies.  Thats good news but there's bad news, no ff 3.  I bet that will go to the PSP.  Square is re doing the gameplay so final fantasy 1 is not so clunky.  I have big questions for ff2.  I played this game on the snes when it came out and this seems to be a different game entirley. I heard the japaneese version was different.  The ff 2 i know is your cecil and your a knight you have a brother kain and your love intrest is rose and you become a paladin(Hey i did that all off of my head and i havent played that game since about 97 maybe, brother sold my snes) . So could someone please fill me in on the ff 2 they are talking about.

Nintendo Gaming / The DS perfect for online
« on: March 26, 2004, 04:49:01 PM »
Hey i was just thinking the DS would be perfect for an online or team based shooting game.  Say the leader has one screen focusing on whats ahead and the other screen focusing on the team and amke sure they are doing what there suppose to.  The other people could have one full screen focusing on the action and another screen to view your health and toggle between weapons and such, and maybe display the scores sometimes.what do you guys think

Nintendo Gaming / Old final fantasies on gba
« on: March 20, 2004, 09:14:27 AM »
Hey there wasa rumor a while ago about square putting some the older final fantasys on the GBA (final fantasy 2 and 3 for the snes)  these games were awesome.  Those games were the games i played most when i was a kid.  IF you havent tried them, you must.  There not like the crystal chronicals crap there real oldfashioned turnedbased rpg action with great storylines.  Though i proably beat them both like 5 times i would stiss shell out 30 bucks for them.  I have my fingers crossed for an anounce-ment at E3.  Anybody feeling the same?

Nintendo Gaming / whats next after AC? Harvest moon: Its a wonderful life
« on: February 04, 2004, 12:51:22 PM »
Hey, is anybody else hypeed up about this game.  When Harvest moon first made its mark on the North American market I was like a game about farming thats so stupid, lets play some more madden.  Then nintendo came around in 2002 offering Animal Crossing i heard and i was reminded of harvest moon and how much fun my freinds had with it and i didnt try it.  Well i bought AC because it seemed really good with the NES games, once i got into it the NES games stayed in my basement and i was playing the other aspects of the game.  for the Animal Crossing fans who havent heard of harvest moon it AC +farming+real life-NES GAMES.  Theres jsut so much to do in Harvest moon i cant wait till its released, and have you seen the screen shots (not the ones in nintendo power, but the ones on EB games.com) theer amazing, so much detail and the game adjusts with the seasons. What are your  opinions?
