Ubisoft did support GameCube, but it was basically the same old multiplatform support Ubisoft gives to any system. We have two Ubisoft Wii exclusives already and at least one more coming, according to the press info.
Capcom and Konami have been pretty quiet. I'm thinking we'll hear more from Capcom, Resident Evil is probably just the teaser, but who knows?
The third party future is still pretty murky for Wii, but since E3 I think there has been a definite trend of third party support moving towards Wii and Xbox 360 and away from PS3.

I do think a few of the older NES games are a bit overpriced, but then...don't buy them. I hope Nintendo will adjust some prices later on, but I don't know if that's going to happen. It probably depends on how the games sell.

Oh, I see now that the original poster was worried about scaling people correctly and whatnot...me, I'm not that worried about that. I'd rather be playing Zelda than making sure my Miis are all to scale.
I took mid-size to be something like 5'6" and went from there.

My family digs Wii sports and my mom even told me to bring it to my Grandparents' place for Christmas. I wish I could get my dad to play, he used to love video games but gave up after NES because the controller had too many buttons. I think he would like Wii but he's afraid of looking silly.

Another article about Live Move - it's an interview with one of the top guys at the company. Apparently the tool can be liscenced to anyone (a collaboration with Sony may even be possible, but the guy really waffled on that one, I bet there's a limited-time exclusivity agreement).
Also, for anyone thinking this is just for rinky-dink developers without enough advanced programmers - Nintendo itself has used it to develop games. Apparently the program applies the concepts of Artificial Intelligence to "learn" the various motions the developer inputs.

The game reviews are written for hardcore gamers. As one guy put it in an article I read lately - the mainstream gamers use mainstream press for their news, because the gaming press is full of manchildren who talk on the level of hardcore gamers and nobody else.

Wow, thanks for that one, Bandai Namco get! Yeah, I think Kingdom Hearts on Wii seems quite likely, given Nintendo's kid-friendly stance.
The Disney studio may not seem that important to a lot of people, but the point is to have the games. I remember when there were new games based on Disney movies coming to PSX every year but never to N64, and even though I knew they weren't top-tier or anything, I was still a bit jealous. Kids will care a lot.

Yeah, that's true. I've heard that the 360 DVDs are running a little low on space in some cases, I imagine a movie-intensive game like Final Fantasy XIII will use more than a double-layered DVD worth of space, but I think the "extra space" bullet point has been overplayed.

I do wish it was this easy, but as a Nintendo investor, I'm glad the company is going to make oodles of cash from all you double-game-buying suckers. Personally I won't be re-buying anything, but I look forward to buying some games I missed.
