Well, if you're not talking about RE5, then what ARE you talking about?

Support from Capcom in general. You're too busy referencing the Capcom Gamer Day event but you don't look at the whole picture. Yeah, what they announced at gamer day did look like it was in Nintendo's favor, but what about when you look at it from a long period of time?

Quote

That's right: NOTHING, because that's what Capcom showed off for other next gen consoles, NOTHING.

Yeah, what they announced at gamer day did look like it was in Nintendo's favor, but what about when you look at it from a long period of time? Do you really want me to list all the other games they're giving to the PS3, 360 and PC?

And as for "assets from previous games", are you daft? The RE mansion never existed in 3D before. It ALL has to be redone into a full 3D environment, as do the subsequent levels which cover RE0, RE2, RE3, CV, and anything else they might throw in.

You do know that pre-rendered images does exist in 3D, right? They're built on more powerful computers and stored are an image, but for the pre-rendered image to exist in the first place requires it to be built in 3D.

But seriously, the only next gen system they showed any retail games for was the Wii. Search the internet, search the popular game sites: if you can find a screenshot of RE5 which isn't from 2005 then I'd love to see it.

I'm not talking about RE5, though. I'm talking about overall support. We know nothing about RE5 so why argue about that? Besides, how hard is it to show off a port and a cheap spin-off using the assets from the previous games?

That's kind of odd, considering that Capcom showed more support for Nintendo and the Wii at their recent conference than they did for any other console maker.

I don't consider the port of a 2 year old game and a crappy spin-off as support.

I don't expect any real support from either Capcom or Konami (well Hideo Kojima specifically) on the Wii. So I say RE5, not happening.

Oh, it's on Friday. 5 PM PST is not here yet so I guess it's possible we might see something new... maybe.

The news probably already came out. In other words, no Nintendo related stuff. If I'm correct, this event is held in Japan, so the news should actually come 12 hours earlier.

TalkBack / RE: REVIEWS: Super Swing Golf PANGYA
« on: April 11, 2007, 10:14:03 AM »
Whoever said Albatross 18 is a grind game is out of his mind. The game is all about skill and having fun. People can easily kick ass in this game without grinding if you have the skills. This IS a freaking RPG. All RPGs are grind fests, but Alba requires skills. Seriously, you think you can do well if you grind 100 hours and yeah you don't learn a thing about golf?

Oh and one more thing. It is my opinion that the earth is flat and you can't tell me I'm wrong.

Looks like Gamecube graphics, as opposed to PS2, to me. Anyone want to do a side by side look at the scene of Leon running away from the boulder on the GCN to see how it stakes? Could be my imagination, but it does look slightly better to me.

You can tell it's not the PS2 graphics because the PS2 version is all yellow for some strange reason. Everything is so damn yellow.

TalkBack / RE:Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Announced
« on: March 28, 2007, 01:02:02 AM »
Sega's developing the game? I think I'll pass then. I'd love to see an Olympics game done right, and Sega is not someone I could see pulling it off.

Also, how does this confirm Sonic in SSBB? For all we know, the rumors could have actually been spawned by this game. Maybe they were going to put him in SSBB, but decided to make Sonic more important than just a cameo so they pull him out and put him in the spotlight with Mario in this new game.

It's fake. You can put whatever the hell you want in the picture and say whatever it is. I'm hoping for Earthbound myself.

FE9 didn't even have 10 minutes of FMV, more like 6 minutes. One of the FMVs in FMV was like 3 seconds long.

And Smash Brother, that was bullshit from IGN.

If anything, Nintendo is spending more money developing Fire Emblem now. The franchise awareness is better than ever. FE10 now has even more FMVs and voice acting compared to 9. At very least they're using the Wii's larger storage and putting them to good use.

Here are some videos from the game. Trust me, don't watch if you don't want spoilers. They aren't THAT big of a spoiler, but it does reveal a bit of the plot... if you can understand Japanese of course.

Just so you know, an insane amount of heavy spoiler information has already been leaked online.

1. The game is actually split into 4 different parts. Each chapter is about as long as a single map in Fire Emblem 4.

2. Some "characters" will be returning. DO NOT look at the links below if you don't want to be spoiled.

3. An insane plot twist has been confirmed.

4. The Great Knight class returns.

Sounds like good news to me. More people will just support Nintendo rather than fight them.

I agree. And why isn't the DK Bong drums included? I'm not buying this game unless it includes the drums for the control scheme!!! Or what about the microphone? I would love to shout 'UP" "RIGHT" "LEFT" etc to move my characters around. It's so simple it shouldn't be excluded.

This is likely due to Reggie asking Rockstar to make M rated games.

Talk? Reggie probably played the real life version of Manhunt at the Rockstar office to convince them to port the game to Wii.

My friend played the original manhunt and said the game sucked. Looks like we'll be getting a port with graphics that'll make the Cube look like Directx 10.

Too bad we're getting the port of a sequal of a crappy game. I rather have Table Tennis than Manhunt 2. Table Tennis would actually make use of the Wiimote better.

How could you lose anyone in FE9? You're playing this in English right? Only the Japanese version contains the real Mainiac Mode, while the English version contains a hyper easy easy mode.
