Yes, I believe they are important to the industry because they show that the consumer that they care. E for All is new and has strong potential to keep going. PAX has been there and will keep going. Comic-Con does more than just video games and so that'll be there as well. To me, they publicized the importance of the consumer and should be more open. I would like to see it as Anime Expo or Otakon which is a combination of industry and social in a balanced way. Since E3 closed a lot of different public events open up and it's great for information as a gamer, but it is a chore for the media. All this public event needs is organization on when and where it is a good time than just stuffing a lot into a short time like what happen this year.
