Reminds me hardcore of Perfect Dark, which is easily my favorite console shooter.

The current Pros have the HDMI output. Like I said, exactly the same. The only difference is the hard drive.

But it's a vs. mode. Those characters there aren't in the story.

Heck, the whole Force Unleashed game just goes willy nilly with force powers, WAAAY more powerful than almost any other force application in the movies, or even the expanded audience books.

Palpatine once killed an entire planet by draining it of all life and energy.

"The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force."

The Force is ridiculously powerful.

Buy an Elite, I hear they have a better record of not breaking than the other models. I don't know if that is true or not but what most people say.

It's not true. Everything in the Elite is exactly the same as everything in the Pro.

I don't want an Arcade, I want the hard drive. It may be $370 or something, but that really isn't much difference.

The Pro is $350. I think that the price of a game is a pretty big difference.

Is that Kyle Katarn in the middle and third from the top?

That's Obi-Wan.

Needs more Exar Kun.

I hope the WIi version is average because I don't want to buy two versions!

It will be. I'll be buying the 360 version.

Weird I thought people hated the fact that the only console version that had multiplayer is the Wii version.

They hate it because they won't get it.

If it's developed by Bionic Games, it's not a Capcom game.

Problem solved.

I've never played any of the Fatal Frame games, but I'm going to pick this up because I have an irrational hard-on for Suda 51.

While the graphics and gameplay are still too early to judge, one thing we can all agree on is the terrible name.  SpyBorgs?  Really?  How about "SpyBob" or even "SpyBarge"??

Big Bad Beetleborgs thinks you should shut the hell up.

I'm tired of Painkiller being compared to Doom.  Painkiller's level design is much more mindless than Doom's.  Doom actually has an element of exploration within each level, whereas Painkiller is just arena fight after arena fight strung together completely linearly.

Doom is DEEP.

Something that's a hobby, and not a way of life as most PC games have become. It seems to me like most PC gamers find one game and that's it, nothing else really exists to them. And then they tear that game apart, tweak the settings over and over again, play/study/practice it for hours upon hours, spend months building mods, hack the source code, blah, blah, blah. There don't seem to be any just "fun" games on the PC. It's either all or nothing.

As I said before, console games feel like a hobby to me. PC games remind me of a cult.

That's...

I...

...

No. Just, no.

My original question should have read, what would a person who does not like Wow, FPSes (except Doom and Quake don't ask ok) and obviously sports and The Sims are out.

Painkiller, because it's very much HERE HAVE SOME DEMONS like Doom and Quake. And it's only $10. Portal, because I don't consider that an FPS. Diablo I and II, Neverwinter Nights, Starcraft...

Too lazy to think of more.

Fatal Frame 4 main character:

I would hit it like the first of an angry god.

1118
This is a horribly vague question because saying you're a "console gamer" doesn't tell us what kind of games you like.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. You should never have to pick your mouse up and reposition it in a FPS. Perhaps you set your sensitivity far too low?

Even the pro FPS players don't have their sensitivity that high. It's impossible to actually AIM with your sensitivity that high. And what if you're turning right or left more than the other direction? Then you have to pick it up, no matter how high your sensitivity is.

Trust me, it wouldn't work.

Actually, Red Steel was just bad.  Don't use it to measure newer games.

Fixed reticule doesn't work on Wii anyway.

I don't see why it wouldn't. Wii is the first console that has a shot at making the FPS genre playable, and yet it's stuck playing like any other console. Moving the reticle around, especially having to move it to the sides of the screen in order to look to either side, is just not an elegant playing style. It's slow and clunky. There's a very good reason that first person shooters have always sucked on consoles, and it has a lot to do with slow, imprecise aiming. The Wii remote is basically a 3D mouse, which could theoretically be a very adequate alternative to the traditional PC setup.

The difference being that you can pick a mouse up, and set it down again. In order to get "mouse control" with the Wii Remote, they would need to have a button that would effectively shut off the pointer until you let it go, so you could reposition it.

It wouldn't work.

Maybe with WiiWare out they can release that GoldenEye 007 Mod.

Are you talking about Goldeneye Source? There are a number of reasons that will never happen, the most important being licensing issues, and the fact that Goldeneye Source would be WAY too big for WiiWare.

What the hell is steampunk

Well, to start... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk

tl;dr: Basically a genre where pretty much everything is run on steam and coal. Technology levels vary, but can include radios, rudimentary computers, clunky land vehicles, airships, etc. Pretty much everything is bulky and huge, with lots of gears and goggles and Victorian-era dress. Think Jules Verne, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Arcanum, if you've ever played.

(Wow, this forum has been completely dead for the past month.)

So the game's been out for over two months, and I haven't seen a single tier list.  So, will someone who cares enough to stay one top of these things please tell me who's generally considered to be 1337 and who I would have to be an idiot to use?

Die.
