NWR Feedback / Metroid Record Story Broken

me too. People on IGN are complaining that it can't be real and want visual proof of it like a screen shot.

General Chat / This boards are TOO strict!
« on: May 03, 2003, 10:44:22 PM »
I subscribe to Insider for basically the benefits of the media and a few articles. I browse their message board for the Cube, but it is almost pointless. There are 5 threads on the same topic on the front page which is full of posts from the last 10 minutes. It is very messy and unorganized. This board however is a godsend in comparison. Sure there may be less threads, and sometimes seems traffic is slow. But if you compare the content of the thread, wait, there is no comparison. PGC forums are more constructive and intelligent. Thank you Rick and Bloodworth.

Nintendo Gaming / Article on Cinescape.

I dream of writing response letters like that. But I never seem to have the information in the front of my mind. Very well argued points. Give you props.

Nintendo Gaming / I this true or just a rumor?

If you read the whole article in IGN, it says that none of it should be taken seriously and that it is all for fun.

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour
« on: May 01, 2003, 12:14:19 PM »
According to Gamestop's web site the release date is June 30th. As far as I know they are NA domestic only, not an import company. That and word from Gaming Cubed are what I am getting it from.  They got their info from n-gamer.com who got it from Gamestop's web site.

You can see box art for it here as well: Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour Box Art

Too many games this year..arghh. I better start getting money back that I lent to people soon so I can buy all of these.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo doing it again??
« on: May 01, 2003, 12:56:18 AM »
It seems to me that Nintendo is releasing (hopefully not) most of its big news before E3 like last year. Already we have Mario Kart, Rogue Squadron 3, and now Metal Gear. We know of other stuff already too from while back of what was gonna be there such as FF, F-Zero, Soul Calibur 2, etc. Could this just be the attention getters and there is more just as good things to come and surprise us at E3? I do hope there is for the rest of the gaming community because it is the press conference that gets almost most of the press from E3. And if Nintendo can't bring it to the table for the press, it may fall farther behind.

Nintendo Gaming / OFFICIAL Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes Discussion
« on: April 30, 2003, 11:18:56 PM »
Once again, PGC comes through with the biggest news before the corporate sites. I haven't played a Metal Gear game yet, but have heard good things about them. This combined with the expertise of the folks at Silicon Knights,  should make for an astounding game.

Nintendo Gaming / no nba jam 2004
« on: April 30, 2003, 07:02:22 PM »
I'm not too worried, haven't finished most of the games I have already anyways. Just means a few bucks to go towards renting a different game.

Nintendo Gaming / no nba jam 2004
« on: April 30, 2003, 06:38:21 PM »
According to Acclaim Sports' NBA Jam 2004 page that just went up, it will only be for Xbox and PS2. There are no listings of Cube anywhere. It was originally announced for all 3 systems. I had been interested in this since I liked the past "Jams". Guess another 3rd party game is gone again. I know Acclaim usually puts out crap stuff lately, but Burnout 2 was pretty good.

TalkBack / SD Adapter gets a Date!
« on: April 29, 2003, 07:54:33 PM »
Never the need for buying more memory cards. I got a 251 when that came out and haven't needed a new one since. Now, I can move all my game datas to one card, leave it and forget it. And we sell SD cards at my work, time to catch the employee discount (10%).

Nintendo Gaming / Do you feel the GC is slowly dying away..?

Not sure how many people saw this:

Price drops coming?

It talks about a certain store employee receiving signage indicating price drops for all 3 consoles.

Nintendo Gaming / Semi-confirmation of price drop
« on: April 28, 2003, 08:28:13 AM »
When doing my daily gaming news tour, I found this news bit over at voodooextreme.com.

Price drops coming?

Anyone else at one of those stores be able to confirm a shipment like this? Could this by chance be part of Nintendo's plan to sell more cubes to single households to make Kart easier to play with more people? Another news piece there someone suggested that this is all part of a big scheme. Sell millions of mario kart, sell millions of BBAs, then announce online with large BBa userbase. Makes sense, but probably not true.

Found some GiFTPia vids. These are on my own webspace. And yes, that is the real game audio you will hear, and no the subtitles in the last one are not in the real game. Enjoy.

Nintendo Gaming / Wind Waker Sound Track
« on: April 25, 2003, 04:27:51 PM »
I just got mine in the mail from Video Game Advantage, and found a card in the jewel case booklet. Anyone know what you supposed to do with it? It looks like a scratch off, but I could figure out where I would enter the underneath info on the site (cna't read japanese). And the coating that would be needed to scratched off looks so nice, would want to mess that up.

Nintendo Gaming / The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker General Help
« on: April 25, 2003, 12:26:47 AM »
Hopefully this will be my last help request as I am collecting the last 2 triforce maps. I am having problems with the one that is found in the most top right corner square. Like the fish said, no ledges or platforms. Don't know where to go.

But I did find that other map in that square. Very interesting.

General Gaming / Cybersmart
« on: April 24, 2003, 07:55:42 AM »
Well there was no Nintendo as I had hoped, but who can complain when you get almost $200 in free software, keychains, a windbreaker, t-shirts, a hat, and told that you can get all of one campany's software for free? Not to mention $100 in the mail after 2 months.

Nintendo Gaming / Production Sudio 4.....where?
« on: April 24, 2003, 07:51:22 AM »
I have noticed that the web site for Production Studio 4 has gone down. Only get a 404 error page when you go there. This is true for the Japanese and English sites. Hopefully this is just temporary as they are redoing it because of the management change there. I still want my Capcom 5.

General Gaming / What will be at E3?
« on: April 23, 2003, 10:02:58 PM »
I don't know, but we should be able to see some of it live as it happens. On Nintendo's E3 site, it mentions web cams . As if I didn't already have enough to do that week with finals. AARGHH!

holy shizmsnat!! Nintendo already has at least one game a month that I am seriously interested in. I don't know if I can afford much more than that at this rate. Even more, they have Ewoks in there!! I love the Ewoks, they rock .

Nintendo Gaming / Finding Gamecube Games!
« on: April 20, 2003, 08:49:44 PM »
If I can't find a ame locally, I go to the web. Web sites almost always have stuff in stock. Bad part is having to pay for shipping, but if your lucky may get out of paying taxes depending on where you live.

Nintendo Gaming / Slightly off-topic, but...
« on: April 18, 2003, 06:17:41 AM »
Prepare for the possible server chokes again too. I remember having to hit refresh multiple times after hitting a link to a news bit before I could see it. But the dvd a few weeks later makes it worth while also.

Yes, let us know when you are debuing, that issue would be a collectors item to us.

I think this topic deserves a sticky.

« on: April 17, 2003, 08:34:55 PM »
I would like to submit that Billy remains as a non-active member of the staff. He has put so much time and effort into this that he deserves all the perks. I'm sure that he will still get some as a member of the industry as a journalist, but it never hurts to have more than one connection.

I would like to thank you Billy for your efforts. I have donated money, bought a t-shirt, a japan experience double cd, a dvd from last e3, and will buy a dvd for this year as well. From the weekly scheduled trivias (where I have a total of one career point), to all the latest news, and free content, this has site been the best. Guess you will be able to participate in trivia's now and smash all of us then. Oh well, no worse for me.

Best of luck to you in your new endevours, but don't be shy to your home of the last 4 years. The boards will still be here as well as the trivias. Hope to see you around.

What I can't figure out is how to get up the stairs to I think push the big box over the edge.

Isn't there something Chu-y to push the buttons down?

Oh jeez, I am bad. Thanks man.
