Nintendo Gaming / RS2 Commercial!!

GamingID has the new tv commercial for Rogue Squadron 3. Good little teaser. They say it is high quality, but don't be fooled. It's not that great of quality, decent but nothing I would call high quality.

edit: Fixed subject from RS2->RS3, geez i'm tired.

I saw 2 commercials for Donkey Kong Country on MTV tonight.

One was of 2 cliffs in the middle of nowhere and a bird flying. You hear a rumbling in the background then a rhino runs from left to right jumping the gap between the cliffs. Then it jumps to gameplay vids of riding the Rhino. Tagline is something to the effect of "Only in Donkey Kong Country".

The second is an underwater shot with fish swimming. Then in the background is a dark shape wich ends up being DK swimming towards the camera. This is not a animated DK, it looks like they actually got someone to dress up in a costume and swim in water. Then it cuts to some gameplay vids of the swimming levels. Then same tagline.

GBA game commercials have always been at least decent if not good. Glad to see that the trend is continuing here also.

Gamespot has posted some pics from Nintendo's booth. There are logos for 1080, Donkey Kong Country, Metroid: Zero and a few others like MGS: TS and Mario Kart stations.

Midway released a trailer for The Suffering. Looks interesting, puts better perspective on its description. Very graphic. Maybe Midway may have something here. Have to wait and see.

Nintendo Gaming / GC demo disc for sale this month

After reading around I heard that Nintendo is going to sell the next demo disc. After some looking I found it on the ebgames.com site. It will sell for $9.99 right after E3. I hope that they have them in the stores too, would rather not pay shipping on it.

Found this on the IGNCube boards that one of the mods posted. They were done by 2 people. You will need Divx to play the vids. Enjoy.

Directly linking to other people media files is not allowed.  You should know better than that.

One link didn't work when I tried it, but I put the link just in case. I didn't even know that the difficulty went up that high. Thank God for the mini and party games or it would be a waste of a game for me. I am not that precise at all.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo doing it again??

It seems to me that Nintendo is releasing (hopefully not) most of its big news before E3 like last year. Already we have Mario Kart, Rogue Squadron 3, and now Metal Gear. We know of other stuff already too from while back of what was gonna be there such as FF, F-Zero, Soul Calibur 2, etc. Could this just be the attention getters and there is more just as good things to come and surprise us at E3? I do hope there is for the rest of the gaming community because it is the press conference that gets almost most of the press from E3. And if Nintendo can't bring it to the table for the press, it may fall farther behind.

According to Acclaim Sports' NBA Jam 2004 page that just went up, it will only be for Xbox and PS2. There are no listings of Cube anywhere. It was originally announced for all 3 systems. I had been interested in this since I liked the past "Jams". Guess another 3rd party game is gone again. I know Acclaim usually puts out crap stuff lately, but Burnout 2 was pretty good.

When doing my daily gaming news tour, I found this news bit over at voodooextreme.com.

Price drops coming?

Anyone else at one of those stores be able to confirm a shipment like this? Could this by chance be part of Nintendo's plan to sell more cubes to single households to make Kart easier to play with more people? Another news piece there someone suggested that this is all part of a big scheme. Sell millions of mario kart, sell millions of BBAs, then announce online with large BBa userbase. Makes sense, but probably not true.

Nintendo Gaming / Wind Waker Sound Track

I just got mine in the mail from Video Game Advantage, and found a card in the jewel case booklet. Anyone know what you supposed to do with it? It looks like a scratch off, but I could figure out where I would enter the underneath info on the site (cna't read japanese). And the coating that would be needed to scratched off looks so nice, would want to mess that up.

I have noticed that the web site for Production Studio 4 has gone down. Only get a 404 error page when you go there. This is true for the Japanese and English sites. Hopefully this is just temporary as they are redoing it because of the management change there. I still want my Capcom 5.

WW is #3 right behind Prime and OoT. Just one more review, and its on the list officially. That first review listed looks familiar too. And what is that at the bottom of the top 10, Mario 64!?!

...at gamerrankings.com. Somehow, Mario 64 has crept back into the top ten. That makes 5 of the top 10 games from Nintendo. Zelda LTTP has slipped out of top ten too.

I was wondering if anyone was planning on attending the Cybersmart convention in San Jose, Ca on the 22nd of April. Nintendo will be there and hopefully have some stuiff to show or talk about. I will be going for my work. I gonna try and take my digicam with me to get pics of anything. Oh, you do have to meet these requirements to attend: http://www.cyberscholar.com/cybersmart_rules.cfm. A free $100 is worth 5 hours and a bit of walking around and getting free stuff.

The Game Audio Network Guild is having its first G.A.N.G. awards show. GANG is a "non-profit organization established to promote excellence in interactive music and sound". Looking through the list, Metroid Prime gets no nominations at all. At least the recognized Eternal Darkness and RE0 for something though.
