I want to complete my Rathalos, Barroth and Lagiacrus armor sets and fully upgrade them. I have the Thunder Clap long sword, but the Bolt Axe seems too cool to pass up. I also bought a flame long sword last night and I hope it gives me better flexibility against Lagiacrus.

One question, my Lagiacrus armor does  not provide adequate defense against Lagi. Is it because it is not complete? It is not fully upgraded yet and my barroth armor provides better defense.

What would have made this game even better is if it had, for example, allowed the Lagiacrus armor to conduct electricity on its own similar to the how Lagi does in battle. The same would for the Rathalos and other armors.

I want to start planning a viable defense/offense against Diablos and Uragaan. Those two are the ones that I am having the most trouble with right now. I have a feeling that a good lance is the key to beating these guys.

I do like the Rathaian and Diablos armor and might look into getting those after my first three are complete.

What new weapons need to be introduced into the Monster Hunter series? I am thinking that whips might be a good addition.

The new system has an automatic shut-off feature if it detects that the circuit boards are overheating, so it's designed to prevent RRoD from ever happening. It also has the benefit of several iterations of internal circuit designs that are less vulnerable to the original RRoD cause.

How is the noise?

I would even buy the 36o slim and that says a lot considering that I do not like the 360.

I have a strong feeling that the wii 2 reveal/release is just around the corner. The wii slipping from the numeber one spot after being at the top seems like it is going to happen a lot more in the coming months.

BnM, we didn't do that thing where you show pictures of the movie and then provide comedic commentary for Class of 1999.

I want to get my Lagiacrus helmet tonight and maybe complete my rathalos armor. I have nearly maxed out the defense for my Lagi and Rathalos armor to the point that I will need advanced armor spheres to max them out. I will get my bolt axe late because I have the thunder clap long sword.

I just have to wonder how third parties will react when the wii 2 and its high defenition graphics is revealed. Chances are they will just keep doing th status quo, but I am interested to see how established wii franchises like Red Steel, Conduit, No More Heroes, and several others evolve into high definition graphics on the wii successor.

What are some major third party franchises that should appear on the wii2?

Conduit 3?

If the wii 2 had HD graphics, would there be any problem with playing it on SDTV?

I wont buy the game until I see a few reviews, but I am hoping that this game is successful enough to spark interest in doing something with the older Goldeneye game for virtual console. We can only hope.  :cool;

I nearly have the full set of Lagiacrus armor. All I need is the helmet, but I need three Lagi horns to forge it. I also need two more horns to craft my bolt axe. As soon as I am finished upgrading my Rathalos armor, I am going to focus on my Lagiacrus armor.

All I need is the arm armor for my Rathalos armor to have it complete. I spent some time today upgrading that armor and intend to finish it.

Maxi and every one else, here is my plan:

I want to finish off both my Rathalos and Lagiacrus armor sets.

I want to fully upgrade them both to their maximum setting.

I want to upgrade my Peco Hammer to the Red Bludgeon.

Finish off my Level 3 quests

Stock up on healing items and other needed goods.

Once all of this is complete, I intend to take a week off, perhaps two, to rest. This is for real this time and I intend to return to take on the level four quests and upgrade y stuff further.

Any opinions on wheather or not the Jhen Sword and Sheild is worth getting?

I have it and it gives a good Dragon element attack and works well or Rathina/Rathalos when they are weakened to the ground.

$15 million would make it the most expensive game ever to manufacture (manufacture means the instruction booklet, the box, the disc itself, etc.). I think you meant develop. As for how much that cost, that would be too hard to speculate because Nintendo never (or rarely) give us that kind of info to at least compare it to.

I meant develope, not manufacturer. That was a misnomer on my part.

3165
Allow me to play devil's advocate for a moment. Why are third parties so important for a Nintendo console? Third parties have not had much ground on their systems since the days of the N64 and Nintendo still done fairly well. After all, Nintendo games are good enough alone for you to buy their consoles, right?

The answer is that without third parties Nintendo would have to drastically churn out their own games at a much more constant pace. For example, the development time for Skyward Sword was how long? Five year od so since Twilight Princess? Would any one wait around that long to play that game without some third party game to keep them company.

Overall, third parties act as a buffer zone for Nintendo that provides them protection from the ire of the consumer. It keeps them out of the lime light long enough to reasearch and develope their titles.

On a side note, most of the games for my wii and DS are third party and the rest are a few of Nintendo's titles such as Punch-Out!, SM Galaxy 2, Brawl, NSB wii and wii sports.

Third parties will be successful on Nintendo consoles when they go from after thought development to priority development of their titles.

I want the controller to actually be made of solid gold with diamond encrusted buttons and d-pad. Sure gold is over a thousand dollars an ounce, but with the opprotunity to play a Golden Eye is just too appealing.  :cool;

I would like to see a Megalodon-esque boss that could swallow Lagiacrus whole.

You need to finish the game before asking for that. Your wish was already granted.

I know who you are talking about and he seems like a frobiddable foe, but I want something like a shark. I mean those shark creatures in the game did not get their due and having something as big as a megalodon would be better.

Or a giant octopus like kraken.

As far as improvements go, here are some of my ideas:

More flying enemies that are not wyverns or nature. Capcom, give us something like a giant Eagle to hunt and give the option to jump onto its back to wrestle it to the ground.

More detailed environments with more herbivore herds, birds cherping and bigger areas.

Bigger online rooms for bigger hunting parties.

Allow scars to form on your hunter's face and body.

How about instead of hunting and returning to a hub village, how about you, the hunter, travel across the world to various villages in each environment and hunt the particular monster(s) that plauge that village.

I would like to see a Megalodon-esque boss that could swallow Lagiacrus whole.

Besides eating food, the hunter can eat a particular monster's flesh and gain certain abilities called "monster spirits." For example, eating Lagi flesh gives you the ability to ward of thunder.

How about a carriage that holds a giant cannon or gatlin gun that the hunter, or his party, can use to hunt monsters. Sort of like a tank in the monster hunter universe.

Similar to the scars, the player has to suture wounds and splint broken bones thanks to injuries sustained by hunting the monsters.

How about blood hounds? The hunter could have some canine like reptilian creature that can sniff out monsters if their scent is given to the blood hound.

Ride certain animals for transportation and they can even help in battle.

What will the wii 2 look like? I am betting that it will similar to the wii, but with a few minor tweaks. I actually liked the look of the N64, so a return to that design would be kind of nice.

If games for the wii 2 have the same production value as thos for the PS360, I may never buy another console ever again.

All right, so who plans to play tonight?

I want to complete my Lagiacrus armor and finally get the bolt axe. This means that we have to atleast fight Lagiacrus two or three times to get the horns. Second, once this is complete, I want to finish off my Rathalos armor. Third, I want to upgrade my peco hammer to the red bludgeon and then fully upgrade my Lagiacrus and Rathalos armor as fully as possible before I go up against the monsters of the Tundra on my own.

I would have already had the bolt axe, but I could not pass up the opprotunity to have that armor. Although It was weaker against Lagi than my Barroth armor, which is fully upgraded.

I just meant that it would be nice to have those titiles on the go because it does not look like a portable Xbox is coming anytime soon.
