5 Minutes of Ninja Gaiden 3 footage.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=R5PVFk_nSE0

So Ninja Gaiden guys, is this more of the same or does anything look different and exciting?

Well, it certainly looks more stylish and fun than the Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo I played a few years ago.  From what I've heard, the big change this time around is that the game is being made so mere mortals can actually finish it, something that's causing a lot of whining from the Ninja Gaiden fans.  To me, making the difficulty less than utterly sadistic can only be a good thing.

I like the idea of Team Ninja toning down the difficulty of the new Ninja Gaiden game because that was what always turned me away from that series was its ball busting difficulty. I like a challeneging game as much as anyone, but Ninja Gaiden games just takes the cake in that department. I played Other M and thought that what Team Ninja did with the bosses in that game  was great, but the overall strategy in beating those bosses was so asenine that I simply put the game away on just every other boss encounter. Lastly, Other M had the most anti-climatic final boss battle I have ever experienced, and I am not talking about Phatoon

James - I'm curious, where does this adamancy that WiiWare/VC won't be transferred over come from? The solution might be asinine (Connecting the Wii to Wii U via USB to transfer? Maybe...), but as far as Nintendo's past actions go (and as Jonny said many times, the industry at large), it makes no sense that they wouldn't have them be compatible. Perhaps some games wouldn't be compatible, but that's all that I think would happen.

Also, a lot of Wii games used the GameCube controller ports, so why would that have anything to do with WiiWare compatibility? I mean, ****, every version of Active Life and DDR are just not compatible with the new Wii iteration and Wii U because they need a dance pad.

All I know is that I had better be able to transfer my saves on Monster Hunter Tri and SSB Brawl when it comes time to move all of my stuff onto my Wii U.

Again, though, why would you do that? What, other than the shock value of the story, does that add to the game?

Earlier someone in the thread asked about playing as someone other than the American "good guys" for a change. As for what it would add to the game? Not much, except that it would be something different. People say a lot of the FPS genre has been beaten to death, and it has, but being able to switch sides and play from the opposite perspective would be a change. Its just nice to be the "bad guy" once in a while for a change.

I just had an idea where someone could touch on the holocaust in a game and you could be an Axis soldier who fights against it and disobeys orders and sets some of the prisoners free. We shouldn't forget that during the war there were a lot of good Germans who risked their own lives to save the lives of people the Nazis were trying to kill. Shouldn't their stories be told? If there was a COD game that touched on this then you could be both the "bad guy" and the "good guy" at the same time.

@ Chozo

Too controversial.

My dream CoD game is a third person action title set in the near future and centers around China as the villain.

Black Ops 2 is a much better idea than Modern Warfare 4, although really why does every COD game have to be a sequel? I am still holding out hope for a COD game set during the Civil War.

I would like to have a CoD set exclusivly in the Vietnam war.

Black Ops takes place in 1968 so it is set during the same time as the Vietnam War (except the bay of pigs thing and the flashback to WW2), and many of the missions do take place in Vietnam. Isn't that good enough?

I wonder if Black Ops 2 is going to be set immediately after the original one ends, or if it will be set sometime later. I'm sure it will be set during the Cold War, but the Cold War lasted until 1991 so there's ample time where it could take place.

The game that I want would encompass the entire war and not just a few missions like BlOps.

It looks like Call of Duty Black Ops 2 could be this year's CoD holiday game. Just in time to be a Wii U launch title? Imiagine fighting zombies on the Umote screen. Treyarch must be developing this title as well.

The site claims that a product page for the sequel to the 2010 Call of Duty title went live on Amazon.fr and that, after they reported this, Activision France requested that the story be killed. When they refused, Gameblog.fr claims that the publisher blacklisted them, disinviting them from a Transformers: Fall of Cybertron preview event and pulling planned advertising from the media outlet.

Metroid: Other M makes it to a global sales of one million units.

  Total Units
North America:

+ Rest of the World:

If that game sold the most in north America then those Operation Rainfall games can as well considering that some people might say that Pandora's Tower is a better game than Other M.

That article that Caterkiller posted leads me to believe that Nintendo might very well increase the spces for the 3DS Lite to better accomodate Vita ports.

Not gonna happen as it would pretty much screw the 15+ million people who own 3DS's. At MOST, you might have a DSi situation where you get like a dozen games that support it. Plus, not really any chance of a 3DS Lite (yes, I know you are talking about a hypothetical revision, regardless of size). Don't expect a revision to have any change in the actual specs of the system.

Sorry, but I was under the impression that the specs could be doubled and when pre-revision 3DS games are played on it they simply use the power of the original 3DS and the post-revison 3DS games would take full advantage of the upgrade. Not being a tech specialist hinders me in debates such as this.

I remember asking a question a few months ago about whether a sterescopic 3D inabled Umote screen would be a good idea and everyone laughed at me for it. A high resolution screen for the Umote would be very welcome on the condition that it did not drive up the cost too much. Also, I was playing a Vita in a Gamestop today and the OLED screen for that thing was amazing in terms of colors and pixelation. If Nintendo offered a OLED enabled Umote screen to be purchased directly from their store then I might be all for buying it.

Army Coprs of Hell for the Vita got a 4.5 out of 10 when reviewed in the latest issue of Game Informer. In fact, the reviewer for the game said that it could easily pass for a standard PSP game. I had high hopes for this game and wished it was a Wii U launch title.

Platinum games would be the next logcal choice to develope a good TMNT game. A TMNT game would demand a lot of action and Platinum is good at delivering games that push the bar on quality action. Although I am still holding out that Rocksteady might be developing this game still.

I really hope that this is in fact not true and they are working on a TMNT game.

1221
Who currently owns the rights to these TMNt games? If the new show is appearing on Nickelodian then the rights must belong to Viacom? How friendly is Viacom towards videogames? I ask because this might determine if any more TMNT games appear on any download services in the future.

More depressing TMNT news. It appears that there is a rumour going around that the developers of Arkham City are not working on a TMNT game after all. If so, what a bummer. Can the TMNT games ever come back into the lime light?
