Work from Home would be a fitting title.

Read this set of theories online, sharing them here:

After Avengers Endgame, Wanda suffers a mental breakdown from the loss of Vision.
>She looks for a way to revive Vision without the Infinity Stones, and befriends Agatha Harkness, who mentors her with her powers.
>Through Agatha, Wanda learns of Mephisto, and despite Agatha's warnings, she contacts him
>Mephisto offers to bring Vision back and to let the couple live the life she dreamed of when she was a child watching American sitcoms. Wanda accepts
>Mephisto seals off the entire town they're inside in some kind of reality-altering field, to appear like a sitcom.
>However, Mephisto's side of the contract is that he gains possession of their children, who are massively cosmically powerful.
>Meanwhile, both the FBI and a new organisation, SWORD, investigates cosmic-tier issues like Thanos and are trying to penetrate the field
>Jimmy Woo, Kat Denning's character and Monica Rambeau are all involved here.
>Monica Rambeau (Geraldine) flies a helicopter in, but it's transformed into a toy, while she gets assimilated into the story and her memories get wiped.
>Other agents in hazmat suits enter but get transformed into beekeepers.
>As the pregnancy and raising of the children advances, so too does the era of sitcom.
>Eventually, during a Halloween episode, Vision regains his memories and tries to snap Wanda out of the program.

303
I imagined the neighbor's hesitancy being not so much out of fear as out of them not fully remembering. Like they have an idea of what is wrong but it is clouded by the "world" created by Wanda.

Articles online are claiming that Geraldine is Monica Rambeau as an adult now. Did I miss something in the episode to clarify this or did the casting reveal it somehow? Or are people just assuming?

304
Whelp, my MCU knowledge seems to be getting rusty. Probably high time I re-watched some of the earlier stuff. Haven't seen AoU or Winter Soldier in a long while.

305
Right, he was the "AI" in the computers (Or am I thinking of someone else from a scene in Winter Soldier)? Course, being an AI construct now means he could have been transferred or downloaded elsewhere, yes?

What is going on here?!?!

***Checks timestamp of all these posts***

Oh. Carry on then.

307
I forgot that he was the guy who had the twins in a cage. What happened to him? Could he make a return in this show coming after Wanda's kids perhaps?

It makes me wonder what Vision would have been like if Shuri had succeeded in removing the Mind Stone from him. Maybe it was close enough that she attempts to rebuild what was damaged? It sounded like she was very close to getting there, close enough I thought they would find a way to bring him back in End Game.

There was a teaser for WandaVision planned for the end credits of End Game they axed before release, so this may have something to do with all that.

308
Notice how when they see the beekeeper entering the street Wanda says "No" and the whole thing rewinds. She's in control of everything even if she doesn't fully realize it is what I suspect. The beekeeper may have been an outside agent that found a way in and either she pushed him back out or pulled him fully into the fake reality. Keep an eye out for the appearance of a strange new character in the next episode to coincide with a new person being pulled into the reality.

Speaking of new people:
and a subtle speculation being that the colorized SWORD copter I mentioned earlier in the bushes, may have been the entry vehicle of Monica Rambeau into the fantasy world

Good catch. I remember a helicopter in the "real world" shown in the trailer. I wonder if the real world clips will be showing parallel story 'flashbacks' showing the sword folks trying to enter Wanda's World.

Wasn't Strucker the guy who made Wolverine, or was that Striker? Or am I mixing up characters?

309
Its gimmicky but a fun kinda gimmicky for me. Got a lot more laughs out of it than I thought I would, but through my mother I've seen enough of these old-type shows that I can also appreciate all the little details they are mirroring from I Love Lucy and Dick Van Dyke. Will see of that appreciation continues in the later episodes or not.

You don't have to enter the thread to edit the title.
On a computer, double click the blank space in the title to edit it without ever actually going in to edit the first post.

Never knew I could do that. I just went into the first page of the thread and edited my first post to change the title.

310
I started the thread so I'll rename it (being careful to avoid the new spoilers since I've not watched it yet). Wife decided she's not as interested in it so I'm to watch the first 2-3 episodes and report back to her and we'll start over if I really think she'll dig it.

311
Im wondering, will every cloud game require a separate streaming test? If this becomes a very common thing it makes me wonder if it will get a bit tedious to have to run a test before every game purchase.

312
Now, the reviews are for only the first three episodes so far right? That's what I've read from some people who got to do advance screenings.

313
Which character are you most excited to play as? I'll be playing as Cat Waluigi!

314
Maybe some of the producers or even Evans himself saw all the memes about Cap knowing what will happen in history and he ends up coming back because he can't handle that knowledge?

315
Bummer. But if they are saving Charlie Cox from Daredevil (and holefully D'Onofrio by extension) then I'd hope they do the same for Luna. Also finding a way to bring in the AoS actors since I like them all a lot.

316
I felt like something was missing from the big announcement and it finally came to me: where is Ghost Rider? I loved the take in Agents of Shield and I thought it was confirmed that they were doing a separate show for that character. Wasn't it planned as a more adult rated series that was going to be on Hulu? Anyone think that's been postponed due to other projects/Covid delays or has it been forgotten or canned?

Almost feels like Parler was actually an elaborate honey pot for all these folks with how badly the security got compromised.

Though apparently before it went down a lot of people replied with all their information to an account titled "WH Office of Pardon Attorney" so these guys were going to basically turn themselves in if the data wasn't leaked through other means.

The only thing that can kill the Switch's momentum is the Switch. If the new iteration makes the jump from DS -> 3DS and is counted differently it may never catch it since they are clearly moving to a more iterative model. That or all future iterations of Switch are counted as the same system from a numbers point of view and nothing will ever be able to match it.

320
Oh! I beat Mario 64 on the 3D All-Stars collection.

Guess I technically beat Animal Crossing New Horizons since I got the credits to roll at the 'end' of the game.

Also beat Links Awakening.

321
It was kinda inevitable that Nintendo would buy NLG. They were already a strong second-party studio since making Luigi's Mansion 2 on the 3DS and those tend to either get bought up completely or break off from Nintendo down the line (Silicone Knights, Rare, Monolith Soft, NLG, HAL).

If you want a prediction about studio acquisition then Koei-Tecmo is next to go 2nd -> 1st party as Nintendo has been buying their stock on a regular basis to "strengthen their company ties and collaborative efforts" as stated in their prior financial shareholder reports. With all of the collaborative games like the FE and Zelda Warriors titles as well as being the primary workhorse developers on Three Houses this just seems obvious. Only question is WHEN, and I don't see that being a 2021 deal, maybe 2022-2025.

Heads up, this game is free on the PC Epic store if anyone wants to try it out there first.

323
1. Zelda 35 Celebration! A new Zelda game is announced. One of the Wii U titles (Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, not both) will drop in celebration. Collection of the 3DS Zelda's (Ocarina and Majora) comes to Switch a la 3D All-Stars

2. Prime Trilogy is released when the date/release slot of Prime 4 is announced (example: Prime Trilogy is out now/this Fall and expect to continue the adventure in Prime 4 in Spring 2022!)

3. Something Star Wars comes to Switch that is not Lego. Both something from the old LucasArts catalog as well as something newer and/or original for Switch

4. New Pokemon game releases, either Gen 4 remake or Let's Go Marill/Mareep/Togepi/Pichu (Gold/Silver)

5. Waluigi comes to Smash

6. A non-Mario Kart racing game comes to Switch (Diddy/Donkey Kong Racing, F-Zero, Excite Trucks/Bots, or different property)

7. New mainline Fire Emblem is announced but not released this year. Only FE releases will be a re-release like with Shadow Dragon or a remake of an older game.

8. Banjo-Kazooie game is playable on Switch (either as an N64 port or the X-Box ones or through X-Cloud/Gamepass)

9. A new Switch model is released that is both in line with what us "core gamers" hoped for in a 'Pro' model while not quite being what we hoped for at the same time

10. Nintendo annoys us by not fixing the joycon issues until the lawsuits force them AND continues to use these awful "Disney Vault release windows" to create artificial scarcity

324
So I've got to thinking about the Nintendo Year In Review. Thinking it would be fun to make gaming predictions for our play habits in the new year. What will everyone's most played games be? To account for the theoretical game releases I would say lets increase it from top 5 to top 10 or even just your top-whatever list since it's kind of a guess what will even release this year between Nintendo's typical secretiveness and slower development times and the new normalcy of pandemic-related elays.

With a child on the way later this year, turn based games are sure to dominate the list since I'll more easily be able to pick-up and drop as needed for caretaking.

I'll list mine off in no particular order:

1: Fire Emblem 3 Houses - Partway through a Golden Deer playthough. I've done a Black Eagles playthrough already and plan to attempt at least three more runs for the other two options as well as a replay of Black Eagles WITH the added DLC since I missed that when I did it the first time. Hope to at least finish Golden Deer and one more route on the game this year.

2: Monster Hunter Rise - Because that will probably be one of the few real time online multiplayer games I attempt to play this year.

3: Breath of the Wild 1 & 2 - I still need to complete #1 in anticipation of #2 so I'll include both on the list.

4: Picross S 1-4 - Puzzle games like this will surely be at the forefront as a good calming game between bigger matters going on, and Picross S1 was already a

5: Pikmin 3 - got this for Christmas and my wife and I are working through the co-op together and she's really invested in it, so this may be one of the only games we get around to playing together

6: Civilization 6 - I played this a fair deal when it released, and I've been holding out for the DLC to drop in price to pick it up and return to the game as a whole.

7: Metroid Prime Trilogy - Believe this will release this year once they have a better idea when Prime 4 will be coming as a way to garner excitement.

8: Something in the racing genre - I imagine (hope) Nintendo releases another racing game like Diddy Kong Racing or F-Zero so I'll be looking out for that.

9: Animal Crossing will probably be a contender as my entire direct family and some extended members are playing it a lot, but I've already experienced the burnout so not confident on its ability to stay in the top rankings for me.

10: A Pokemon Game - Pokemon is turn-based soa plus for me. We are either getting a remake of the Gen 4 titles or Let's Go Maril/Mareep/Togepi so those could be prime contenders, but I've also held off on getting Sword/Shield and would bite on that if I could nab the game and its DLC for a good price (<$40 would do it for me).

11: Something Mario - I doubt Mario 3D World will be the only Mario title this year but if it is then I'll probably return to 3D All-Stars to finish Sunshine and play Galaxy

12: Something Zelda - it is Zelda's 35th Anniversary and I expect some treatment akin to the Mario 35 celebration. So I'll surely play something out of that, and if not then will probably pick up Age of Calamity if the price is right or play the original Hyrule Warriors in it's place.

13: Skyrim and/or Witcher 3 - Skyrim is another easy to pickup-and-play game for me and I've got a lot to do in that game still, or I may finally boot up my Witcher game that I got and play that instead.

I'll cut it off there, but curious what others see as their "big time" games for the year.

325
I've beat no games as I abandon all games partway through and never complete anything...
