Yeah, I had a lot of fun hanging out with Maxi. Thanks again for the stuff you gave me. I appreciated it! Forgot to take a picture or two, so that's a bummer.

I got mine for $36.99, which isn't as good as $29.99 but better (slightly) than $39.99. I did the Amazon thing w/ no tax and free shipping, and also got a 2-song soundtrack CD as a preorder bonus, all of which helped dull the sting somewhat.

Yeah, I was going to post this earlier. I didn't even notice the soundtrack until last night (I'm not opening the game until Christmas, but took the cd out a bit early). I think it's a great deal, and worth the extra cash as long as you get the extras.

Also enjoyed the comic. It's sad that it's there, but we'll still pay for it.

Forgot to add congrats to Lindy as well. Stay sane with all the wedding planning, it can get overwhelming at times.

I also wanted to add that I think a Luigi's Mansion sequel would be really awesome. I enjoyed the gamecube game, and would pick up the next installment for sure. Maybe it wasn't picked as a re-release because they have something planned? I doubt it a little, but that would be great.

Update, Amazon now has this listed for $15. That is an amazing deal.

Also, before I picked up this game, I read this review, and it helped cement my decision to pick it up. I still haven't received it in the mail yet, but I know I'll have some fun with it.

I thought this was a fantastic episode. You guys picked great questions, and I thought the answers were very good.

When I don't have a lot of time to game, I usually turn to my DS. The sleep feature is so convenient for stop and go gaming.

I have the first one for GC, so I wouldn't pick it up again. I am very interested in the second one as a remake, since I never had a chance to buy it. The used price never went down below $20, and the new price probably isn't more than that.

Oh totally. I never play the Mario Party games in single player mode, but this looks pretty fun playing that way. All the videos I watch of the game give it a really nice charm. I wish it was an online game so I could play it with my party game/rpg playing friends.

It's $20 on amazon right now. I bought it from there this weekend, but I can't open it until Christmas (or my wife wont be happy with me). The game looks great, though, but I do enjoy the Mario Party games.

I'd love to see:

Earthbound

Sparkster (Both versions)
Yoshi's Island
Beetle Adventure Racing
Uniracers
Castlevania 3
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (I don't own a psp, so no go for the collection)
The Thunderforce Series
Tiny Toon Adventures
Chip and Dale
Ducktales

I'm in the market for coconuts. Anyone have those kicking around?

I planted one earlier this week that is growing. I'll PM you when it has fruit so you can take one.

I just wanted to say I really enjoyed this episode. I love talking and listening to people talk about old games or systems. It's great to hear episodes like this one and the n64 one where there's lots of reminiscing. I hope RFN has some more episodes like this in the future.

I never had a chance to play Zelda on any of my systems. I remember all the buzz about it on the internet, though. I used AOL at the time, and the N64 section of the ANT boards were really hyped up about the game. Unfortunately, I spent more time on the playstation section of it, so I never got to see how most people felt about the game.

Just recently I repurchased an N64 with the intent of playing through games I missed out on or didn't finish. I made sure that Ocarina of Time was the first game I bought for it. I haven't played through much of it yet, but I finished the first dungeon. It's exciting to finally play through it, since it's loved by so many people.

They should put out a sequel to Hydro Thunder on the wii. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

When I get an SD card I'll start posting them here.

Are people keeping their mush furniture or selling them? I sell them as fast as I can find them, though I'm holding onto the tv until I find a better one.

But really, they could develop something. Even the variants were pretty fun. On one hand, you could have one level that every character goes through, but each character could get through it with their own special talent.

Or just work and improve the gameplay of each character. Knuckles can have levels like Sonic, but make him combat heavy. Tails could have levels that take advantage of his flying abilities.

Also, Sega needs to just sit and develop it. Don't rush it out. Take time and don't worry about the holiday season. Those are just some thoughts.

My sister got the PS2 version today, and the werehog levels are really annoying her. I think I might wait a little bit to pick up the wii version. It's too bad, because I thought the werehog levels kind of looked like Sonic meets Streets of Rage with platforming. Sounds like it's more of a chore than fun.

Do you think it's possible for Sonic Team to make fun gameplay for non-sonic characters? I didn't think it was so bad in Sonic Adventure 1. I don't understand why they can't seem to get it down.

I'd love to buy more games, but it's difficult with being married for over a year, and have school debt. You really have to be selective in what you buy. I've mostly turned to retro gaming and buying used games. I can only afford wii or ds games a little at a time. I can't complain, though. I'm happy with what I can get.

I might restart if annoying animals keep moving into my town. I only like one of my neighbors so far. Besides that, I love all the additions that were put in the game.

I just picked this up a few hours ago with wii speak. Haven't been able to try out wii speak, but so far I've been enjoying the game. The changes aren't revolutionary, but I've been waiting for a console version of animal crossing for awhile, and for some reason couldn't really get into the DS version. I like the changes they added, but probably for most players it isn't enough to pick up the game.

I imported my DS character, which is a cool feature. I don't mind starting broke. It's just how the game goes.

Wow, one paragraph in and I already hate the reviewer. Just by the tone of his review, you can tell he hates rpgs. Why is he reviewing this game then? Granted, I've never played the series before, but it looks like he's being harsh for no real reason.

That's weird. I bought Mega Man Anniversary Collection for my wii earlier this year and it runs fine. Have you tried the disc in a different wii or gamecube?

Would someone who has experience with Acid Foundry, Garageband, and Soundtrack be able to get the hang of this pretty fast?

I suppose I can't complain too much about the camera. Sometimes it's just a little hard to see where some places need to get colored in. I know there's the hidden stuff in the nooks and crannies, but it takes a moment to see if there's stuff to color in on the tops of buildings.

Some jumps are a pain. My hand was beginning to hurt from violently shaking the wiimote when Blob wouldn't jump like I wanted him to. Similar to when you jam on the jump button when your character isn't jumping right.

That said, I played for a few hours last night, and I'm loving it. Thanks again, Maxi for suggesting this to me. It's really giving me a feeling of playing Jet Set Radio (or any other awesome quirky game), and it's great. If third parties keep making games of this quality on the wii, it's going to be a great ride.

I decided to rent this game tonight. It was a tough choice between Wario, Boom Blox, Samba de, and this game. I went with this one because I'll probably pick up Wario and Boom Blox for Christmas, but wasn't sure about this one. I'll start playing once I get offline.

On a side note, I don't think I'll be renting games for a long time. I didn't realize it costs almost $10 to rent a game from Blockbuster. It's a bummer, since I really want to try Wii Music without having to buy it.

*Edited in a few hours later...*

This game has exceeded most of my expectations. It's just so much fun to play. There are a few frustrations here and there, such as camera and the jumping being a bit frustrating. But while playing it, I keep flashing back to Jet Set Radio, and that's a good thing. The gameplay, music, and total package is solid. Overall, it's worth a purchase, and I think Nick's review of the game is spot on.

They should do both. I'm probably going to pick this up, but I would buy a new Rocket Knight game in a heartbeat.
