11-11:30ish PM EST would work fine. I can't stay up too late as I have class in the morning. That should give us all some time to hang out, though.

Also, Chuck is a good show. I don't watch it much, but my wife watches it every week. What I've seen I've enjoyed, especially the episode about Atari.

I propose NorthSea's town since I don't think either of you two has been there.

I'm okay with opening my town. Just to warn everyone, I'm still in November. My wife also asked me to make sure we play after the premiere of Chuck tomorrow. She's been waiting a long time for it.

Ok I want to play with NorthSea,Mop_it_up, and Stratos on the 9th. What time would work for everybody?

Tomorrow isn't going to work out, as my roommate is having a going away party tomorrow night. I think Sunday would be the better day for me. If there's problems, then we could move it. We will do this, just real life keeps jumping in on my plans.

I'd say I'd like to read more books in my spare time. I'd also like to write more, rather than only working on it for class. I'd like to lose some weight, but I don't see that happening this year.

In my gaming life, I'd like to:
-Finish Final Fantasy 6
-Play through more Zelda games
-Play more games online

Finally, for fun, make up my own version of Calvinball.

I stopped playing it when one level took about an hour and a half to beat, but I had to quit before I could finish it. Then gaming ADD struck and I moved to something else. I'm going to finish it, though. I really love the whole experience. If anyone hasn't picked this up already, it's down to $20 now. It's well worth the money to pick it up. I'm hoping THQ makes a sequel for this.

It's the first weekend of the semester, so I don't think I'll be swamped with work just yet. My town should be ready by then.

I wont be able to play tonight, but I do want to have more people over in my village. I think only Maxi as seen it so far. There's some things I have to do in my village, but how does next weekend sound?

I don't even know who TheNorthSea is.

That's because I don't post much  :( . I'm also TofuFury on that other Wii board you go to.

Anyhow, does anyone have to time travel to events in order to see them like me? If I didn't I'd never get to see them. My wife doesn't understand the importance of watching the fireworks at 12 AM on New Years Day like I do. I have to spend it with... real people.

If it was in the top 20 last month, and top 10 this month, then my guess is it's doing pretty well. I think that's good news. We'll just need to keep an eye out for it next month.

Overall, I think it was a good month for Nintendo. I'm hoping A Boy and His Blob does okay.

No, it was on the NPD chart on the previous month. It just missed the top ten, along with Scribblenauts.

I like the quick commercial in the podcast. It's nice to hear a quick review of what's been on the site. My only issue with it is the sound quality.

It is tempting. I might put it on my Christmas list. Xseed does deserve more support, especially for bringing Fragile to America in a few months.

I didn't know you could duel-wield different weapons at the same time. One of my favorite parts in an RPG is getting crazy weapons that have crazy properties and status effects.

Apparently there's something wrong with his computer. He says he's going to get it fixed in a few days.

I've been wanting to pick up this game for some time, but never seem to have the cash. It demoed well on the Nintendo channel when it was on.

Hey, I'm posting this for Maxi, as it sounds like he has some problems getting on NWR.

"I can't access NWR right now. I might not be able to play Mafia this time around.Could you post that I might not be able to play. If I am able to access NWR I will post so but for now could you do that for me.Thank you."

I'd offer to take his place, but I have a bunch of major assignments in school due this month. When my schedule changes up more, I'll join back in.

It's been one of my most anticipated titles all year. I won't be getting it day one due to finances, but probably by the end of the month.

The story isn't that bad in the Mystery Dungeon series. I've only played the first one, but I actually liked it. There were cheesy moments, but that's what you expect in a Pokemon game.

I'll probably check this one out. I skipped the second one, so I think I've had enough of a break to try this one out.

I wanted to say I really enjoyed this episode. The VC feature was passionate and makes me wish the RFN crew had a say with how Nintendo ran the service. Releasing VC and Wiiware games on different days makes so much sense.

Also, the discussion over the first listener question was one of the best yet. I thought there were a lot of great points made.

I voted for Super Mario World as it's one of the few in the list I own (along with SMRPG and DKC2). It's one of my favorite SNES titles, and I think it can get overshadowed by SMB3.

Either way, I look forward to hearing discussion on any of the listed games.

EV training isn't too hard, especially if you watch tv or something while you do it. It's cheaper than buying the vitamins to boost them. They do make the game needlessly more complicated, though. I kind of wish for the days when it wasn't in the game. I almost quit playing through LeafGreen when I realized what Natures were and how they worked with your Pokemon.

121
It's all really complicated and kind of nerdy, but for those that want to battle competitively, they're necessary to learn.

I believe IV's are Individual Values. They're the base stats every pokemon start out with. Pokemon all have different stats when bred. They can be the same type, gender, and nature, but will grow differently. One pokemon will have their stats grow slowly over time and never reach it's fullest potential, while another will reach those caps easily.

EV's are Effort Values. EV's help boost stats when you train your pokemon. For example, every time your Charizard defeats a Zubat, it not only gains experience, but 1 EV for Speed. If it defeats a Ghastly, it will gain 1 EV for Special Attack. All pokemon have a set limit of EV's it can learn, which is 510 I believe. However, once it reaches 255 EV's in a stat, it is officially maxed out. It will still grow every time you level up, but you can't give it more EV's. It's similar to giving your pokemon carbos, zinc, or an HP Up, but without having to find or buy them.

It's a lot to learn, and if you just want to have fun it's best not to worry about it. You can beat the normal game just fine without worrying about them. However, if you want to battle competitively, or do Battle Frontier and Battle Tower, it's necessary.

guess nobody thinks they can take me on..  I hereby declare myslef  DreD King of Pokemon muhahahahah

I'll battle you. Just PM me whenever you're up for a battle and I'll get back to you on when.

Maxi, Platinum is a pretty good version to pick up if you want to get back in. I can understand wanting to wait for the G/S remakes. Nostalgia can make the experience more enjoyable.

Wll that was fun.  Clearly I'm going to need a LOT of practice before we do that again if I'm to offer any sort of challenge.

Same here, I found myself hitting walls a lot more than I would like. I'm debating about going non-wheel controls and seeing if that's the problem. I'm definitely thinking about practicing with bikes, as they seem to have the advantage.

And congrats Mop_it_up for the win!

124
IV's take too long to breed for. I do EV train. It's easy to do as long as you have pokerus and a macho brace. Unless it's a legendary at a giveaway event I won't deal with IV's. Breeding takes forever just to get pokemon with a good nature.

Game will be out September 15th 2009 in the states.

I'm definitely preordering this. I think it's going to be hard to find this game for the first few weeks when it comes out.
