What he was stating wasn't exactly learning all the techniques available. But being able to have more than four techinques your pokemon can use.

Ok you mean mean more than four seperate moves. That would be fine, as long as it not too many. (Like you can forget harden when you metapod turns into butterfry.)

Nintendo Gaming / Gameboy Advance SP extra batteries???
« on: February 17, 2003, 07:06:52 AM »
The problem with the batteries, if they are simular to cell phone batteries, is you don't want to drop them. They get screwed up pretty fast doing that. Three for the life of the battery is pretty fair but you will have to take care of it. And the batteries souldn't be more than a replacement for a cell phones.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon's Replay Value
« on: February 17, 2003, 07:01:11 AM »
Yes there are over 100 new pokemon. But most of the orginal pokemon are not avaible to get. So almost every Pokemon you run into will be a new addition.

Nintendo Gaming / Programming/Creating content for the Gamecube
« on: February 17, 2003, 06:02:41 AM »
Its expensive because 1) its a way to make up for the R&D on the system. 2) helps prevent piracy. 3) Makes sure you can somewhat control the content on the system. (And makes sure you liscense the games since they make a lot of money off of it so they can't have people "taking" potential profits out of their coffers.

To get a new DK you'll have to go through Nintendo and costs are around $5,000 per kit. They come with the information etc. Also you have to go through Nintendo to even obtain any of the GODs used for the Gamecube. And here the biggest one you have to have a business liscense and submit a detailed game declaration.

Otherwise you are stuck with trying Ebay to find old kits. And are not legal to purchase or sell so you would be on some pretty thin ice. (I'm going to try with my business we are going to work on a demo and them issue it to Nintendo see if we can try to get some Fund Q money.)

And if you want the one that has the RW Hard Drive so you don't have to waste discs which can get a expensive it will be a little more expensive.

Maybe have it so you can learn more but the attack is not as powerful.

Here's a new thought you can learn to make your own pokeballs. You can set different attributes but using different nuts mechanisms and be able the teak those (within certin pereimeters.) That will be a new thing to trade and show off.

General Gaming / Kingdom Hearts: anyone else think this game sucks?

The game wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be, the camera angle being the bigest problem but it is still a great game.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon's Replay Value
« on: February 17, 2003, 04:31:27 AM »
He is not in there but they may include a way to get them in the game that coming for the Gamecube. There are only 202 of the 380+ Pokemon.

The major part of the replay is finding Phantom Island which if you don't cheet is almost impossible because it depends on the Pokemon's unseen data on the cart. (1 in 1000 +) And there are five Special Pokemon that are in both games that you have to search for. There  a new temple type area that opens up after you beat the Elite Four and a Mew Two type cave.

Don't loose hope for a Full Pokemon RPG. My theory still stands until there is prof other wise that this game that is coming was a tech exercise for Genioun Society, and it ended up being fleshed out as a game much like the much dispised DOA:ExV. Because a Satium game would be a waste of such talent and I think Nintendo wouldn't do that.

As for those who are worried about the fees since online would be very server intensive not to mention the money for prises have to come some where. Read about me theory on the Pokemon Online thread.

General Gaming / Anyone else disappointed in their Xbox?
« on: February 17, 2003, 04:20:06 AM »
I have been disappointed by it because there is so few AAA games, which is good in some ways. I haven't had trouble with it yet but that is probally because its been sitting on the self  after my siblings and I beat the garbage out of each of the games. (The AAAs we have are Halo, JSRF, and PD_O we have a few other I thought were going to be good but ended up being burnt.) Another thing that bugs me is Xbox Live, I will never be able to be able to use it during the life of this console because we can only get Two-Way Satelite out here. (I live next to a federally protected forest but only 5 miles for a town. The next nearest town is over 10 miles and would cost a fortune getting Cable this far.)

I'm on my Second and Third Gamecube and had no problems with them except the first one had the drive defect that some had in the first shipment.

I"m on my second PS2. (Technically its my forth PSX ) Don't take it the wrong the way but I play PSX games on it more than PS2.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon MMORPG
« on: February 17, 2003, 04:07:21 AM »
There's over 380 Pokemon now. And yes they will have to have something to gain the pokemon you cannot get with Ruby/Sapphire since its not backwards compatible.

The Pokemon series is made for interaction with others with the game via a link cable but it does lend itself to the Online scene.

And for this title I wouldn't mind paying a few dollar fee for it, because if you remember EZBoards pop ups can be a pain I don't want add poping up every time I do something. (But the could made bill boards and commercials on the TVs you run into in other people's house, and maybe suggestions to buy something when you visit the Pokemart, that I wouldn't mind because you can avoid them.)

And that is were ND Cube can step in. Because that is one of their principle objectives.

Marrowind had a plot if you choose to follow it.

Fable has a more loose plot but evoloves what you do. The characters act differently say different things. Supposedly there are some quest event you can take depending on which path you character is taking. If you like Black and White you'll more than likely like Fable. But I'm holding off my judgement until I can play some of it. Since I waited a long time for Black and White and it ended up haveing quite a few bugs in it.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire Reserve and bonus.
« on: February 17, 2003, 04:01:57 AM »
I went anime shopping this last Saturday, also to put more down on Zelda which my place didn't bother to tell me that they required the increase until the day before, picked up Inu Yasha's Third volume (And I ended up being the first to get the demo at that store the manager wasn't there and the cashiere sliped it under the table.) But as I was cheacking out at the bigger of the two Sam Goodies at the mall I noticed some coins behind the cashiere, two different color one Red and one Blue with the letters Pokemon emblazen on the card. I asked it seems its the reserve bonus if you preorder Ruby and/or Sapphire. I ended up preording both and recieved each coin. They look as if they are either brass or gold plated with a hologram placed on the front with the main Legendary Pokemon of each in them. (In their respective hues.)

Nintendo Gaming / More Capcom rumors
« on: February 15, 2003, 06:54:39 PM »
You know the 2nd party Capcom rumor is soooo old. And it has been totally denied by both parties involved. In the Rare sale they were quiet.  And the reason why the RE series was exclusive is that Nintendo basically paid them for it. (Legend of Zelda Seasons/Ages were made by Capcom and they got to keep alot of the profits.)

Just that you have to be quick and try to duck into the burrows when it starts to ram. The next form does give you a change to recharge and its easier to dodge all of its attacks.

The following was going to be my reply to the graphical updates in MP:2

Droping to 30 solid FPS will not effect the game what so ever in my opinion. I may be wrong but isn't Blue Storm was set at 30 FPS and that didn't seems to effect the gameplay. There will be some graphical improvments in the next installment since they will have time tweek the current engine to get better profromance. So maybe the drop maynot be as nessary as some think it is.

Nintendo Gaming / --Mario Kart--
« on: February 15, 2003, 12:03:40 PM »
Accually they could add the other characters and still call it Mario Kart. Also there are still a lot of other Mario Characters they could add that they haven't yet.

Nintendo Gaming / More developers drop the GCN: and so what?
« on: February 15, 2003, 11:29:25 AM »
They do but with all things they will have to be careful on how they weild such power. Because code masters or any other developer can just go and say "ok no games for you." With two other consoles and a new "contender" in the handheld market its not that a developer is hurting for a platform to make games for.

As for EA droping sports support I doubt that they will drop all support since they don't have a competitor on the console.

Nintendo Gaming / nintendo starting to compete?
« on: February 15, 2003, 11:19:20 AM »
I still like the old Yoshi's Island commercial for the SNES. Nintendo has been competing its just that they are trying different things, that don't seem to be working. I hate to say this but they should keep it up with the movie promos and drop the playboy ads. They should concentrate on the traditional advertising techniques.

They will more than likely upgraded Kart like they did with Smash Brothers at the very least. Online is still a possibility but I wouldn't be holding my breath. (Three Months one week....)
