I beat the game (not fully), but am now starting over with the Nunchuck controls. Super Mario Galaxy's 2-D stages were great practice, NSMBWii tests the skills.

Anyone have current sale figures.

I'm replaying Majora's Mask as we speak and one thing I've noticed is the multiple steps it takes to complete a temple. What I mean is, leading up to the temple there are so many things you have to do. These aren't sidequests, more like dominos you have to go through. It really feels like your adventuring since you have no clue what you'll need to do next. It's really wonderful how creative this game is.

Secondly, the enemies are hard as hell sometimes. I've found myself on the brink of death more than a couple times.

Thirdly, the sidequests are some of the best ever. The NPC - three day interaction is very clever. Aunoma basically said "here's 20 people. Find out how to get 20 masks"

So far, it's been a blast.
Koizumi was the one responsible for the NPC interaction. He also:

Made the entire Golden Realm mythos in Link To The Past.
The story in Link's Awakening.
The basic storyline and NPC development in Ocarina of time.
Ditto for Majora's Mask.
Ditto twice for Wind Waker, even if he didn't get enough time.

The Zelda franchises owes more to Koizumi then it does to Aunoma.

It was in a little blurb for Zelda: Spirit tracks. He said that Zelda fans had a tough year without a console Zelda (what) and has the balls to say NSMBWii isn't a real Mario game. I do not know if he reviewed the game or not, but if NSMBWii's reviews are any indication from the gaming media, he's in the same boat as IGNorance.

My bet is the game isn't running at 50fps, it's not brown/grey/dark, and no online.

So Steve Tilley from doesn't consider NSMBWii a real Mario game, but gave good reviews to Modern Warfare 2 (which is getting some good buzz on the forums here) and Assassins Creed 2.

Screw IGNorant, Steve Tilley is my new trolling bitch now.

So far the only boss battle I thought was interesting was Wendy Koopa. Everyone else was pretty much a clone of mario 3 version and not that difficult or unique.
You and I obviously didn't play the same game.

The first Koopa Kid fight is rather simple, but each Koopaling, including Bowser Jr., has a different pattern. Larry is easy on both battles since the moving platforms will work in your favor, and he's just plain weak. The other battles, however, get a bit mixed up when Kamek waves his magic shape dust to **** with the surroundings or objects. Ludwig's second battle tests your jumping ability. Hell, all the second battles test your ability to adapt to the environment the battle room is in.

SMB3 battles these are not.

That one trailer scene (I forget which trailer) had a scene with four of the hairy eight legged fuckers. Can you confirm this Pro? Was it in the sewers area?

Reggie didn't think so.

No, Reggie thought it was so good we couldn't handle the awesomeness. He shielded us from it for our safety.
SMB3.

SMW.

Ocarina of Time.

Resident Evil 4.

I think my heart can handle Disaster: Day of Awesome.

INEPT PEOPLE, YOU PLAYED MARIO 20 YEARS AGO, YOU SHOULDN'T BE ACCIDENTALLY HITTING WEIRD BUTTONS BY MISTAKE.

"OH DRATS, I ACCIDENTALLY HIT SELECT, CAUSING TEAM SUICIDE.  WOE IS THIS IDIOT."

Well, Beyonetta is about to come out, right? And their DS space game is already out in Japan. So that leaves the field wide open for a new project to appear. I'm going to guess we'll see something by the time E3 rolls around. Though I doubt it will be remotely close to RE in any form. Though having them revisit the classic RE formula would be interesting.
They proved they can handle it since MadWorld and Bayonetta may have been started around the same time. The DS Space game was developed by an outside development studio, and supervised by Platinum.

MadWorld's genre and shortness kind of killed it. I did, however, love everything else. So over the top in violence, it was wonderful.

It's a horrible element that I saw fester during the N64 days. That, and Nintendo's 'hardcore' is slowly becoming more annoying the Final Fantasy's entire fanbase.

Can't do much about it.

Well sure, but the main thing is to nip this stupid on-rails thing in the bud...
all else is irrelevant until that problem is solved.

So to that end do we hope that Darkside Chronicles spectacularly fails or flourishes?  If it does well, that will just verify to Capcom that their current strategy with Wii is working and they can just keep throwing out these rail shooters instead of the real thing.  If it fails, that verifies to Capcom that the Wii still isn't worth putting full projects on the Wii.  Damned if we do, damned if we don't.
Why should we even care?

Clover is gone, and the still decent Phoenix Wright team hasn't suffered their trolling. RE5 only sold well because of HOLY **** HD GRAPIKS crowd, and I absolutely hated that game.

We are better off waiting for another Platinum project. (that hopefully lasts more then six hours.)

I personally found the map system to be more Mario Bros. 3 with SMW sprinkles.

I loved Apollo's cast. They completely ruined Phoenix though, as a character (he was basically saved in the last act though).

I would say yes.   It's too bad Capcom made clover self destruct, but at least the promise was carried out.
Fixed for honesty.

The only time the game forced you to use waggle is with the Spin Cap, but like the cape and super leaf from World/3, it's not needed to finish the game. Only when you need it to find those pain in the ass star coins.

How much did LKS sell for? $40? so if they sold 130k world wide, the made over five million gross.
Depends on how much Yen they spent on development. Cing, which devleoped the game, has a good relationship with Nintendo, and their games sell quite well on Nintendo systems. They are not in trouble.

Like I said before, Marvelous will soon go out of business or be bought out.
If they think their ports to PS360 will sell better, this will happen sooner or later.

This is terrible news. I am playing Little King's story  and I love it. What the hell is wrong with Wii owners that they aren't buying 3rd party offerings? I can understand when Wii owners reject crap, but Marvelous games are not crap. It just doesn't make any sense.
This is the fault of third parties.

Third parties have been treating the Wii like dirt, minus a couple of them, and this will piss of the Nintendo fan. Capcom learned this lesson the hard way in the GCN era. Everyone else is starting to learn it too. Boom Blox and DeBlob didn't bullshit their way around anything, and they sold well.

So in other words, piss us off, we don't buy your games. Palin and simple. (I am not this way, however. Others... I can't speak for)

Zelda is such a boring princess.  Let the next game be FILLED with hawt Dark Elves (female).

I'd take Midna over dark elves. Midna has a lot of personality compared to Zelda and other LoZ characters.
The 2nd half of the game made her semi-lame.

The entire side-cast of Majora's Mask had ten times more personality then her.

Shinji Mikami produced a hell of a game in RE4, but essentially took the horror out of Resident Evil.
He added production values rivaling Nintendo's best from a third party who is now a giant Wii troll.
