There are NPCs, you just have to look carefully... =)

Here's some high-quality grabs I took:

I know it's really early to be making a topic on this, but the trailer that was shown at Ninty's October Conference has been released to the public...

Directfeed Download
YouTube Trailer

Looks like a 3D Tales game, which means it looks nice...Good music, too (though old)... =)

Main character appears to be by himself to start off with (of course, they could just have hidden the other characters for now), and he utilizes a mix of swordplay and hand-to-hand styles...

(Oh, and Mothership is obviously not the title, nor the temporary title...I just felt like calling it that since it has no other name...)

I got 2,600 turnips!  My top price last week was 148, so I'm hoping for something more this time...

General Chat / Re: Is it pronounced pay-king or pee-king?
« on: December 14, 2008, 01:25:46 PM »
Peking, how is it pronounced?

Can be "Peeking" or "Pay-king"...

Screw that, General Tso's chicken.

Answer that, i've heard it too many different ways (even from people serving it!) to know whats even close to the proper pronunciation.

General "Sow" (as in the pig)

thats funny, i love srpgs and hate regular ones you do mean strategy rpg right?

Well it's not like everyone has to have the same tastes in games, right? =)

I just find them too high-stress to enjoy...

Oh, and some more details copy/pasted...

Quote
- ‘dark and edgy’ visuals
- ‘We were guaranteed that our ears wouldn’t have to suffer through endless loops of Turtles quips like ‘Slice and dice!’
- no specific generation of TMNT being referenced
- more details about fighting that we don’t know yet
- swing off ledges to do jump-kicks and more
- multiple control schemes (Wiimote, Wiimote and Nunchuk)
- motion controls, but not many
- taunts
- items
- change match settings
- story mode iss ‘not a sidescroller like Subspace Emissary’
- “4 player online is also planned, and the developers are working hard to deliver a smooth experience free of the issues that hindered Brawl. They also want to add something unique to the mix, so expect a new twist or two.”

Golden is great. I gave her some wallpaper and she got me an UFO.

Whoa, what?  She didn't tell you to try the raccoon?

A subject that is rather easy to answer, but difficult to understand...Humans are selfish creatures that don't think about the consequences they reap until they come back and punch them in the gut...

I commend you on your patience, though...Rude people like that tend to set me off...

The "SSB guys" are from Game Arts...

I hope the game sells well. Miyamoto already said that the further use of motion plus depends on how well the adoption rate is.

It'll still be standard in their next system anyway...You'd be crazy not to believe otherwise... =)

Nintendo can make all the fistfuls of money they want but if they do so in a way that alienates me from them...

Whoa, stop right there...I don't think even the mighty Iwata could unravel the paradox that is your gaming tastes...You complained about lack of online titles, which they fixed...You then ignored that and complained about a lack of original titles, which they fixed...You ignored THAT and complained about a lack of original HARDCORE titles, which they FIXED AGAIN, and you IGNORED IT...AGAIN!  Just admit it, you alienate YOURSELF from NINTENDO, not vice-versa...

263
Is this the sequel to the Spam skit? =O

264
Bill if you play Valkyria Chronicles on PS3 I bet you will be really surprised that VC it is a internally developed Sega title.

I hate SRPGs, so I don't think I'd be able to judge it in an unbiased manner... =)

OMG @ thw Wii #'s for November!! when is the last time that a system sold that many in a single month?

This is the second highest month of a single console's sales ever.  First is PS2's 2002 December (2.7 million)...It IS, however, the highest November sales ever...

It's called logic...I've got plenty to spare, but you might be resistant to the effects...

And yes, PS2 was inferior to XBox and Gamecube...Enough that if game developers were so insistent on creating "a massive world with the most realistic graphics out there," they would have developed for them instead (take comparing the pitiful PS2 version of RE4, for example)...But the fact of the matter is, they didn't...They have always developed for the market leader, which always has happened to be the weakest system...But now graphics suddenly matter this gen?  The consumer has spoken, and if third party developers don't want to take advantage of that marketshare, then well, so be it...

If you're looking to make a game that has a massive world with the most realistic/detailed graphics out there, you aren't going to make it on PS2

Man, I need a time machine so I can go back in time and tell XBox the good news!

269
Well considering the game is quite clearly going to be a SSB-inspired game, and there are SSB team members on it, it's not THAT out-there to hope that there will be legacy characters, but eh, what's the fun in just assuming every game will be **** until proven otherwise?

Also, Ubisoft is merely the publisher...Shitty developers can still publish good stuff (Ubisoft with No More Heroes, Sega with MadWorld, etc...)

............Wow...I was sitting around wondering if it'd reach 1.5 million and it far exceeds it... O_O

Edit:  Oh, and the Wii Music jump is fantastic...Word of mouth, I guess!

Anyone play Tournament Fighters back in the day?  Oh man, did it suck.

Which one?  The Genesis and NES versions were horrible, but the SNES version wasn't THAT bad...(Not to mention, a completely different game than this one will be...)

274
So in other words they're in a self-imposed rut, most likely because a sports game requires less effort and is easier to make a buck at.

Well, it's also easier to do when your team is made up of only 30 people... =)
