Nintendo Gaming / RE: Electroplankton for $25 shipped
« on: February 07, 2006, 04:38:13 AM »
overstock is usually pretty good; they sent me the wrong CD once, however, and by the time we worked out the return policy, I realized that i was better off waiting to sell the CD on ebay

Nintendo Gaming / RE:ways of using the remote
« on: January 28, 2006, 08:20:26 PM »
yea, I can imagine having my shield in the lower left corner of the screen and my sword in the right. Press z1 for defensive block and z2 for an offensive shield attack, swing freehand remote as desired. Rinse and repeat.

also, I need need need a badminton game and a fencing game.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: DS LITE OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED
« on: January 26, 2006, 08:19:55 AM »
we'll be able to get a feel of how the Rev dpad feels.

I'm definitely buying one. I don't care. I've had a DS since launch day, and I'm sure my younger brother would like to have my current DS once I get a new touch-screen on this beast. Sure, nintendo is doing more of their usual business, but that new DS should silence the PSP rage in America.

And Nintendo should keep following in Apple's wake; their systems look sleek and tech-heads should dig it.

Sega didn't have the games geared for the gamers that Microsoft thrives on, however. Msoft knows how to keep the peasants happy.

or DS/Rev cross compatability; that would see my soul to rest.

i'll probably use the shell for the first few rounds, but eventually I'll have to succumb to the freehand remote for lightning fast dodges, smashes, etc.

anyone got electroplankton

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Buying Japanese Items

are those items only placeable in the rooms? i.e. can you wield the sword to cut down trees, or use the bow to shoot down packages

moving parts can be a total pain, though. The first design is cool, but it would never really work.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: "Knowing" what we "know" now; thoughts?
« on: January 16, 2006, 05:14:51 PM »
ian, i bought a brand new Netgear router and it was absolutely terrible when it came to connecting the DS to teh WFC. It's issues with the router, though. the routers might not allow connections to something as simple as the DS (i read that it only needs 1-2 Mbps transfer rate, so it's possible that the router would stop you from connecting.)

i don't think you can blame nintendo for the service not being 100 percent compatible with every router on the market./.. if anything get mad at the manufacturer of the router; call them and ask what settings you can change to get your DS on.

dont let the gaming world get you down, Perm. I've honestly heard great things from casual gamers around my college campus. No one can afford Xbox 360 (cept fratboys), and PS3 is a far off dream. The revolution will be affordable and exciting, and surprisingly, I've been hearing more and more people showing interest in the possibilities of playing with the remote.

that blows! I get frustrated that they dont display the clock on the top screen. It should be there when you're fishing and such

i overheard some next-gen discussion last night that boiled down to everyone in the conversation wanted a Revolution and a used/lower priced Xbox360. I'm starting to believe that Nintendo is going to pull this off.

whats the official release? amazon said i wouldnt get the order until sometime in March, so i canceled my order (it was coupled with a book that is already available, so i dont think the book pushed back my ship date)

\EDIT: apparently this game is already on backorder from most of the retailers on Nintendo's site

Sony has mentioned PSP conneting to it's big brother, but I doubt that they will come up with anything special (Nintendo probably wont either, though controlling a CamSpy with the DS would be TIGHT~!)

TalkBack / RE: Revolution Controller Still Has Secrets

if the controllers and the system use bluetooth, I'd kill if the rev supported those blue-tooth earpieces every businessman and his mother have on their ears nowadays.
