« on: November 26, 2007, 12:35:49 PM »
What I want to know is if the Wii remote can hold control configurations for a Gamecube controller.

Wikipedia:

"Tanaka also worked in a programming capacity for Nintendo. He had always wanted to get more into project development, and it was this that inspired him to design the Game Boy Camera and the Game Boy Printer."

Tanaka also worked on the Earthbound soundtrack, which explains the connection.

I wonder if there are any other copied tracks. I'd check myself but the Gameboy Camera has something like 70 tracks it seems.

You are lucky it's only one post and not something that gets stuck onto the end of every post that you make. I also "notified the administrator" when it first happened, but never heard anything back.

NWR Feedback / Cannot change signature
« on: November 24, 2007, 03:45:11 PM »
When I made my account, I initially tried to copy my signature over from another forum. This did not work out quite how I had hoped. I tried editing it, and was able to once or twice, but now I cannot edit it at all. This has been going on since I first made my account a couple of months ago. As you can see my signature is a mess.
The specific error message it gives me:

Forum Error

I have come to the amazing realization that the last Gameboy Camera song played is the same as the file select song in Earthbound. I own both of these but I never realized it until now. Where is that song in Gameboy Camera?

Every real-world gun that I know of is held with the left hand in front of the right (trigger hand). That, or it's a pistol, which can be fired in one hand (like the regular Wii remote). Just from looking at pictures I can tell that this is one of the main problems with this device. There is no way it will feel natural with a backwards trigger configuration.

Secret of Mana is one of my favorite games, so I got that one at least. As for it being mediocre, well, that's entirely dependent on whether you are playing co-op or not.

I talked to a some of my friends with the Wii, and all of them claimed to have made a Hitler Mii. Let's be honest, Hitler is one of the most famous figures in history, and has a very distinctive face that is easy to characterize. That, and it's fun to beat him up in boxing.

It upsets me a bit that this game comes out right AFTER a three day weekend. It also upsets me that most stores tell me they have it, but can't sell it until Tuesday, or even Wednesday.

TalkBack / RE: Play Galaxy at Retail Kiosks

This presents a good question. When will they introduce Wii kiosks with actual controllers, like every other system. I know some stores will lend you controllers, usually after letting them hold your driver's license or something, but they need to introduce kiosks with the controllers built in, and held down with a wire or something.

I'm sure they were done before, but Halo 3 is the first console game I am aware of that integrates all these features so seamlessly, or at all. And the game has certainly been well received, which is why I like the fact that Nintendo is trying to incorporate some of it's better features, whether directly influenced or not.

I am glad that this game seems to be including a lot of the elements that make Halo 3 good, like online co-op and saved film clips/screenshots.

Items are interesting, but I am curious to know how the game plays without them. I hope they can be turned off, and I also hope the "smash ball" can be turned off. I always played the previous games without items. The problem is that a lot of games that are designed around item usage don't play too well without them. Items in Double Dash, for example, got really annoying, but turning them off makes the game pretty bland.

As long as the spoilers are clearly marked, I think it would be a great idea. You should also link to the past trivia results, if possible.

It would be nice to have a list of previous games featured in the podcast/trivia. That way, I could make a good recommendation without repeating a previous game.

Yeah, there were four types and they could be paired up in any manner. So that's 20 different weapon types.

Scans kind of suck, but they are made tolerable with the Wii controls, in my opinion. I don't think getting all the scans unlocks anything. Some scans give you tokens, but that's all, I think.

I would like to see a Gunstar Hero as a playable character. I remember when that site was open for suggestions I actually suggested it.

There are no one time items. There are several one time scans. I missed one of the Space Pirate variants myself, on the third planet.
