Go BnM go!

Finding a new job while still working is a huge pain.

Finding a new job is much easier if you are already employed, employers are less likely to hire you if you are unemployed.

Sad but true. HR bureaucrats are about as bad as they come.

This thread should be renamed to the "Maxi Memorial Thread (with Ponies)".

I haven't had any issues with the Steam client... yet. I've only tested a handful of games though, so take that as you will. On the bright side, Left 4 Dead 2 runs much better, even with nVidia's spotty Linux drivers. OpenGL FTW? :)

Agreed. Screen Savers FOR LIFE!

Indeed. Though I always liked Kate Botello a lot better than Patrick Norton as co-host. Still, a lot of the old TechTV personalities can be found doing "new media" shows on Revision3 and TWiT.

I'd rather have ZDTV/TechTV back. G4 was always a cesspool for uneducated frat boys.

Titan Quest and the Red Faction expansion pack were both just added to the bundle as well. I friggin' love Titan Quest, and it's still byfar the best looking action RPG out there. Of course, it doesn't appear to be the Gold Edition, so you'll still need to pick of the Immortal Throne expansion pack.

It basically boils down to some people being morons while others still get use out of an actual computer. If all you ever aspire to be is a consumer, then stick with your phones and tablet. Otherwise, get out and actually create something!

Unfortunately, I don't think Red Faction has been an FPS for several iterations now. It's all third person nowadays. How much destruction is still present in the series is also unknown to me. Armageddon looked like it could be decent enough. I grabbed the bundle entirely for Saints Row and Metro 2033, personally. I already had Darksiders, and couldn't care less about a bunch of generic war titles.

Why would you play either of those with a gamepad to begin with? :o

Sorry I kept thinking they were the same game. I had to go on Wikipedia just to clarify.

It's alright. They're all pretty much the same, generic game.

And pussy law? I would hope Catina does not have one of those savage "shoot people I think are threatening me" laws that let you kill someone for looking at you wrong by claiming you thought they were gonna attack you.

“Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.”

No, it doesn't give you the right.

Yes, it does. Greedo posed a physical threat by drawing and aiming his gun. Han was acting in self defense. Unless the Catina world has some pussy "duty-to-retreat" law, I'd say Han was completely in the right to use deadly force.

I've never found the Star Wars franchise to be particularly enamoring, but this has to have people worried. Disney just keeps getting bigger and bigger. They are steadily swallowing all creative outlets in the film industry, while stifling what remains through Machiavellian copyright laws.

Nintendo should make Eternal Darkness a primary focus. Maybe then I could stop laughing at the Wii U and consider getting one.

Why buy a game console when PC's can do all that and more?

I wonder this all the time. It basically just comes down to consumer laziness. Having to plug in more than two cables strains at a lot of people's minds. Couple that with persisting myths of upgrade cycles and compatibility problems and your average person doesn't even consider breaking out of the console market. It's a shame, really. Everyone already has a PC sitting at home just yearning to be used to its full potential.

Let's give Fascism another try too, okay?

We are. :(

I bet your kids will be thrilled to receive those toys. It's nice to see parents going out of their way for stuff like that.

Dual analog controllers are simply too slow and imprecise for any kind of game that requires aiming. Third person shooters, and especially first person shooters are an instant fail. I prefer a nice d-pad or stick for fighting games and platformers, too. I guess the racing genre works alright with analog sticks? It also doesn't help that games nowadays try to cram so many different actions onto these tiny controllers. There simply aren't enough buttons to properly accommodate your average game.

And then it will be like North Korea. No society has succeeded with something other than capitalism.

I sure don't see a lot of countries succeeding with capitalism either. Unless the rich getting richer at the expense of our planet's well being is success in your mind.

Burn all American news outlets along with the rest of the capitalist infrastructure

I found it funny when I stopped posting for about 3 weeks and my smite count still went up by like 20.

Sounds like someone keeps an awfully close eye on their smites. Obsessed much?
