Remember the Wicket movies? Hell yeah, those were so awesome.

The iPad? what is that? It sounds like the name of some feminine hygiene product. Who would want to play games with that on the go?

Congratulations, you're the 10 millionth person to make that incredibly stupid joke.

Oh, remember when we all found out what the Wii was going to be called? Good times.

I like that Iwata is suddenly concerned about how using a device will look to other people. How about waving your hands around like a goddamn chimpanzee?

I crash a lot. I haven't had the game very long. You guys are good! I could use some tips...like how you do that spin move.

Gotta go, though. Wife's putting food on the table. Let's do this again sometime!

NOBODY added me?!

I think Activision is stingier. Their instruction manuals barely clock in at more than two or three pages long. "Here are the controls. Go eff yourself."

As is the case with virtually every online game I play (Mario Kart Wii is the shining exception).

It lacked a half-cloned Samus in a tube whispering "kill me..."

Yeah, the shark boss did require some grinding. Luckily, his dungeon is crawling with high XP baddies, so it's not a big deal. He might be toughest boss in the game, not counting a certain Monster Town secret boss. Even Smithy isn't a big deal if you've got the Lazy Shell on Peach.

I'm so down. It takes me about twenty minutes to get home from work, so I might be a few minutes late the party, but I'm excited!

Dang. Jet Pilot bringin' the h8t.

Grinding is actually pretty easy here. If you beat all or most of the enemies in a given map the first time you're in there, you'll wind up at level 25 or so by the end of the game. There's a level cap (30), but it's extremly easy to reach that cap--just fight the boss monsters that are falling off the assembly line two rooms from the final boss for like twenty minutes with your final team (which should be Mario, Peach, and Bowser) and you'll be at level 30. Bam.

Add me (my number is in the Excitebots thread) and I'm game.

Wait, PST is like four hours ahead of AK, right? In that case, it'll be 2:15 in AK, I'll still be at work. *sigh*

I don't understand the rampant boycotting of character development for Samus. This isn't Mario--there's a continuous story here.

Well, Confuciusornis is from China, and when it was discovered, it was the next-earliest bird ever described (after Archaeopteryx) yet it had lots of more modern features, like a toothless beak and a pygostyle. So it was important (and still is) and made everyone re-think avian evolution and how quickly birds radiated.

I have now sampled Player One, and it's too long. I don't think they edit at all, and so much of it is rambling nonesense. I mean, it's funny, but it's also 2.5 hours long.

I found that playing on the CC and GC controllers, you do not have the option to turn on the simpler "Smash Bros." control style. That option seems to be available exclusively for the WiiChuck control scheme. When playing on the CC/GC, the game feels much more like a "proper" 2D fighter in the vein of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 or Street Fighter IV. I haven't tried the Wiichuck scheme yet, but I probably will tonight.

The instruction booklet is impressive in that it seems like there's a whole lot of depth to this game that I have yet to discover.

It's really, really, really good. Very hard, though. Much tougher than Super Castlevania IV. What's interesting is that people say that the post-Symphony games are canibalizing assets from Symphony, but Symphony itself canibalizes assets from Rondo, so, yeah.

The Ex: Don't Know, Didn't Care/10
Hated it. Turned it off halfway through. The story never goes anywhere, and Michael Bluth is just an ass the whole time. Zach Braff is unable to play anybody other than John Dorian, too.

The Ladies' Man: Tiffani Amber Thiesen/10
Simplistic comedy. Then TAT walks onscreen and you're all like DAYAM THAT'S what a woman looks like!
