It is worth nothing that the project's Terms of Use doesn't offer any kind of return on your donation if the project isn't funded.

THIS really needs to be highlighted.  You could basically be throwing your money away.  Dyack does not have the best record for releasing games recently.

They mixed up at the end of the description.  Pretty sure its signature move is NOT limping.
The monsters in relation are also supposed to be the habitat.

So very pleased to hear this.  Next to monster hunter, this is my most anticipated game of the year, so I'm very glad that it's as good as I hoped it would be.

Thanks for the positive feedback, everyone. This one took a while to get done, so I'm glad it turned out well! Perhaps not the *hardest* episode, but then again I wasn't really going for difficulty on this one.

Your work is very much appreciated every time!

Oh god, the nostalgia trip!  Never got far in the first game, but thanks to soundtracks and the theme being used in other games, I was able to figure it out.  I recognized a few of the songs in the 2nd one, which helped me figure it out, based on what jonny said after the first song.   Thanks for reminding me that the Third game exists.  Got it really quick after a mental flashback!    Also, I got the 4th game by only playing the demo on the eshop.  Thanks for putting level 1 as song 3. I still haven't opened my limited edition copy of the 5th game but I was able to figure out because I have played its operation rainfall counterpart, xenoblade, and knew it wasn't that.

5 out of 5! Yeah!

As for taking out the waggle, why do you think they'll do that? The 3DS is outfitted with the same tech as the Wiimote.

Because the waggle would disrupt the 3D for people who like to play the games in 3D.  Maybe this time it'll be optional instead of mandatory.

My two brothers are each holding off on buying a Wii U until monster hunter comes out.  It'd be nice if they could get the bundle here in the US.

You can *BACK UP* all of the content on your SD card to your PC.  As far as  I know, if you lose your 3DS, get a new one, and have nintendo recover your purchases, you can put your old SD card in and have everything come up.  I'm not 100% positive about this, because I dont know if the saves are locked to your hardware ID, or your soft-ID that nintendo uses to transfer the purchase history.  There is a chance it'll work.  You can definitely keep all of your pictures though :)

I can only hope that the extent of multiplayer for zelda is something along the lines of dark souls (leaving hints, warping in to help), or miiverse use, or at the most something like a tingle tuner.   I guess I wouldnt be opposed to a Link/Zelda(sheik) co-op adventure, but it would have to be done well, and allow for single player play that wouldnt be impeded by AI.

TalkBack / Re: Two Zelda Titles Are Coming to Wii U
« on: January 23, 2013, 11:07:11 AM »
While I am to a certain extent happy that the WiiU is getting a Zelda this early, I don't quite like the fact that this probably means that we won't get an all-new Zelda game for 3DS that soon. Unless Nintendo outsources the title, of course.

They worked on skyward sword and spirit tracks concurrently.  We'll still probably get a 3DS zelda between wind waker and wii U zelda for sure.

I'll pick up Super Metroid for 30 cents.
That's the only one worth buying for me :/  I'd get mother if I could as well.  Wish there were some better titles on that list.

Was in no way expecting any zelda news at all this morning.  Very pleasantly surprised.  Very reassuring to hear that they plan on shaking up the foundations of zelda, particularly relating to linearity.  A dark souls-style open-ish world would work well, I think, rather than something like skyrim.  Give you plenty of places to go and things to do, but have an 'easiest' or 'best' path you can take that will make progress smoother.  Let me do dungeon 2 if I want, but the enemies will be too tough without the item from dungeon 1, or something along those lines.

Crossovers are smart because i have zero interest in shin megami, but I love fire emblem, so this might get me to start playing shin megami in the future if I like it.

I just love announcement of announcements :p

Seriously though it's nice that they at least mentioned it and told us when to actually expect news rather than being silent or saying 'please be patient'

Neal's going to give this game a 10 and everyone's going to mock him for it for years.

Have to say, I'm pretty dang excited for this.

Was going to say something similar :)

This is almost as bad, if not worse than 3DS.  I just hope it picks up like 3DS did.  At least monster hunter will give me 200+ hours of gameplay.

I want 3 things to come out of this:
  • Miiverse support across systems
  • Unified account system and virtual console sharing between consoles
  • Using 3ds as a different controller and/or playing wii U games on 3DS on the go.

Have 2 20 dollar eshop cards waiting for feb

And nobody is surprised :)
If Y is colored RED, and X is colored blue, if they make a Z, will it be green or yellow?

I really want code of princess, and it's nice that it's on eshop now so i'll be more likely to play it in short bursts, but I really hope it gets a price drop in the future.  I think this will also keep the retail version from being as rare, so maybe it will drop in price instead of go up in price once it's out of print.

TalkBack / Re: Monster Hunter 3G Seeing Wii U Digital Release in Japan
« on: December 20, 2012, 09:38:27 AM »
Makes me hopeful for US launch mh3g.  I'm actually going to wait until it goes digital to buy it.  I hope it's at launch.  This is the kind of game that I play on an impulse sometimes, so if it's on the homescreen it'll be great.

If anyone has played a bit further in the pikmin game in nintendoland, there are a few ideas in there that might make their way into the final game, such as the 3 types of pikmin upgrades.  They have a hammer that makes the pikmin drop hard on top of enemies, a vine that lets the pikmin home in on enemies once thrown, and a fist that shoots the pikmin at an enemy like a bullet.  That could expand upon the nectar upgrades by making you choose which upgrade is best for certain types of enemies (hammer for ones with weak spots on top, vines for flying enemies, and the fist for enemies that move fast or have weak spots on the side).
