Nintendo Gaming / Game's that Lost Money?

Does anyone know if Nintendo and Silikon Knights lost money on Eternal Darkness?  I know that last I heard, it only sold about 500k copeis world wide before the price dropped.

I am curious, for those who have the game, how does it play?  I heard that there are still framerate issues, not sur how, but someone said it can get bad at times.  Also, does the high res clean the game up, or highlight the uglies?  I would really appreciate it if someone could fill me in, I cant get my disk till sunday.

Ok, I am 26% complete so far, and am sorta stuck at the moment.  I have just gotten the jump boost upgrade, and am not sure where to go from here.  I havent come across anymore upgrades, and cant seem to move any further without them.  I have the morph ball, boost ball, chrage beam upgrade, heat sheild upgrade, bombs, and about 75 missles.  Can someone point me in the right direction, I assume that I am simply overlooking something.
