Nintendo Gaming / GBA:SP sells 10 units a Minute!
« on: June 09, 2003, 12:56:23 PM »
According to the website www.GamerFeed.com, the GBA:SP has sold over 1.1 Million units in the US alone.  Thats an average of 10 units a minute, according to the website and national sales data.

I work in retail so this is most certainly true.  We just cant keep these damn things in stock no matter how many we order.  I have a cousin who manages the Video Game Section of a "Toys R US" in NY.  He has the same problem I do, no matter how many GBA:SP's he orders, he just can't seem to keep them in stock!  This is crazy!  And it's not like Nintendo is "shorting" us on systems.  We get tons of them in every shipment.  They just sell incredibly fast.

It makes me wonder two things.  The first is how popular will the GBA player be?  I'm already hearing that we won't have enough to meet our expected demand.  Second, and this question is for those of you with math skills, exactly how many GBA:SP's will be on the shelves by the time that $ony's penis, um I mean, Psp launches in November of 2004?

Nintendo Gaming / Game-Boy "Next"
« on: May 31, 2003, 03:22:29 PM »
It's been rumored to be released in 2005, just a year after $ony's Psp.  Serveral hints have already been dropped that Nintendo is already well under way with it's design.

What do you think it will be like?  Will it have cartridges or will it go in the direction of $ony's machine and use optical storage instead?

Plus what do you think of things like wiresless connectivity?

Also, everyone knows that game companies all like to spy on each other.  It's called corporate espionage.  So you know that Nintendo knew about the Psp probably before anyone in the "so-called" Electronic Video Game Media.

What do you think they will have in store for their biggest competitor?

General Gaming / "Wheel of Mario" not at this years E3?
« on: May 12, 2003, 06:07:20 PM »
Ok, I just have one more question for you all.  While attempting to spy on the construction of Nintendo's E3 booth, I noticed that I saw no signs of the famous "Wheel of Mario" giveaway game.  Now I know it's still early, but I would be seriously disappointed to hear that the "Wheel of Mario" was not returning.

Does anyone know the answer to this mystery?

General Gaming / Miyamoto's Next Game, will it be at the show?
« on: May 12, 2003, 05:47:41 PM »
Hello everyone.  I was recently reading an article over at another game site when I came across an article that mentioned Miyamoto's next game.  After reading some of the posts in this forum, I've come to realize that some of you are quite well informed on the ways of the Big N.  So here's my question.  What is Miyamoto's next game?  What is it's strange concept?  And will it be at the show?

Thanks very much for your replies

Enjoy the Show!
