A very interesting set of impressions, offering some insight on the gameplay mechanics (from this angle, Cube-Europe serves some better impressions), but also offers background behind that funky name, from some sort of ancinet Japanese myth. It's all done very well, and has me interested in the game, but after reading the background behind Odama, I'm wondering...sure, it was at E3, but so was the "too weird for Americans" Giftpia! Any chance of us seeing Odama stateside, or is that more import money?
Oh, and discuss all things Odama here.

Odama is sweet. The guys from Nintendo at E3 said it was going to come out in America.
This is the last time I will call upon my developers! We must have military pinball!

Did Giftpia just not get released here? Cuz that game looked very cool.
This sounds interesting, but I'm not a big fan of pinball, so I'll kindly just let others enjoy it.

Nope, Giftipia stayed in Japan unfortunatly, it looked pretty funky. I like how Odama won't make it to Australia, helllooo freeloader :\

Oh you must be new on this internet, i'm recycling cliche internet comments for fun and profit. Basically I mean it probably won't come out here, which isn't good news at all.

There's a chance it'll get released down under b/c Nintendo is the publisher.
Be happy it's not Atari (hi guys!).

I'm STILL trying to figure out how/why ATARI got the license for ikaruga.
Nonetheless, i realy hope odama does come out here, i'm very interested in it. Maybe someone like Atlus will publish it for us.

Looks interesting. Feudal Japan............pinball. This is probably the weirdest game combo I've ever seen but it could work.

Someone (Atlus?) really should have picked up Giftpia, I think the game would easily sell a hundred thousand copies to hardcore Nintendo fans alone. I'm still undecided about Odama, it gets an automatic place on my "to play" list because it's so weird but impressions from E3 left me unsure about it; it sounded like it had some bad balance issues.

You mean you never played a pinball/RTS/drum bashing game before, what rock have you been hiding under.
