Yes, AC2 is somewhere in the planning stages...But I'm hoping it'll be a Revolution title so they can cram even more goodness in...

A friend of mine told me that Nintendo decided to not make an Animal Crossing 2.  Are you sure they're working on it, Bill?

There was even an interview with the AC development crew not too long ago in which they were talking about how many ideas they had for the sequel...

Theres money for nintendo if they make an AC2 so of course they will make it. Look for it to either be a revolution title or to be one of the last titles seen on the cube.  It could very well be on the cube it doesnt need a better system like the revolution will offer but maybe ninty is stacking its titles up and will release them all at launch to avoid a disaster like last time.

They already have a version in the making for DS as well.  I am willing to bet that version and the next console version of AC (hopefully on Revolution) will talk to eachother via either wifi or nintendo's wireless protocol.

I'm really hoping Nintendo is currently planning to make an AC2 because AC was one of the most addictive and innovative games ever IMO. If they put it on the next Nintendo console, I really think it should be an online enabled game so that people from all over can trade items face to face with their characters instead of doing the inconvenient "password trading" that is used with AC currently. I also hope that the DS's wireless capability is used with ACDS to go online, and possibly to connect with AC2.

I think in one of their issues CUBE confirmed that it will be released but is getting delayed. I'm quite excited about this game but I think the game would benefit if it actually had a point to it this time. I'm also quite worried about how many blocks this game is going to use on the Memory Card......:S

I'm not worried about memory card space if its being released on the GC. I put all my games' data except AC's, F-Zero's, and Pokemon Colloseum's(their data can't be moved) on my memory card 1016, and I still have over half the memory left on it, plus most of the data on my 2 memory card 251s left, and also a few empty memory card 59s...

I was under the impression that Animal Crossing DS is the big sequel everyone was talking about.  Just like Anouma said that WW2 would utilize WW's engine, and it turned out to be the realistic Zelda, AC2 surprisingly may habe become AC-DS.  Maybe I was wrong...I don't know, Bill, did this interview take place before or after E3?

I'm not the biggest AC fan, but I'd like to see a sequel.

Though I'd rather they wait for The Rev. Not because it needs the extra graphical prowress (though I do hope they GREATLY improve the visuals), but if The Rev is as revolutionary as Nintendo wants us to believe, they might be able to do something really cool with AC2. At the very least it HAS to be online. The game is about communication afterall...

Personlly, I think AC will be best suited to the DS.

The reason for this is that it's the sort of game that doesn't need all the effort of turning on TV's and sound systems just to play for an hour.

The pick up and play of a portable console is better suited to a game like AC than the GC, and personally, I'm really looking forward to the DS version of the game.

I'm just hoping that it's a proper sequel rather than a port.
