Title: Halo Coming to GBA??
Post by: d_bomb_23 on June 04, 2004, 11:20:02 PM: In the new EGM with Driver on the cover in the rumor section it says that Halo is coming to the GBA, you guys think that it will? Id rather have it come to the DS but either way it would b cool

There is a lot of money to be made on the GBA with a franchise as overhyped as Halo. Microsoft wants them some

the DS has no userbase yet, and Microsoft isn't interested in help Nintendo. It is a gamble for Microsoft to release on the DS.

If the DS takes off I wouldn't be surpised to see a "Halo DS"

Maybe it will be an overhead game, like Perfect Dark was on GBC...pretty exciting, anyway, I'm a bit shocked that MS is allowing the brand to be published on the GBA. (And I agree that the DS would be a smarter place for it, but Microsoft is obviously trying to make lots of money, which it will on the Gameboy, but maybe not on DS.)

They made an announcement right on their website, and a pretty clever, funny one at that.

Not sure if maybe Craig knows something they dont (doubtful considering they created Halo)...but it looks like there may not be more than meets the eye with this rumor...

I have the most incredible premonition that Halo on the GBA would seriously suck balls. Halo's top priority was graphics and music, then AI and finally, gameplay. GBA was built to support mostly gameplay, but not much in graphics. I admit, there are many GBA games with good graphics, but try to compare any GBA graphics to that of Halo. To me, Halo is good mostly for multiplayer frenzies and awesome graphics.

I'm glad one of them got their priorities straight. Halo is a great game, however a lot was put into actual gameplay. The graphics may be more recent, but the actual game took 4 years to make. People have been anticipating it for a long long time.

We may not be morons. But dont forget as strange as it may sound if you research games, get a gaming magazine etc...... you are not the average gamer. A title called Halo would sell like hot cakes on the gba.

Halo is their bread and butter, their breadwinner, their shining light that says look here look what we have and you don't. And a good light it is. I'm not sure any developer is stupid enough to take the best first party game you have and put it on a system you can't control and risk people wanting that as much as the origional Therefore taking away sales from you and giving it to them. Halo is a Xbox mover and will be until the system dies. I bought my xbox for halo and panzer dragoon(more panzer really), and everyone I know bought their xbox for halo, that's the only game a lot of xbox owner have (other than the free ones they get with the system.) They might release some other microsoft games on the GBA or even the DS but never will you ever see Halo on any system that doen't have microsoft written on it somewhere, (no the mac doesn't count because they own that too, don't deny the truth)
