Title: Metroid GBA SP for Japan
Post by: Jonnyboy117 on May 27, 2004, 06:38:12 AM
For hardcore Metroid fans in Japan, Nintendo has created yet another two-tone system color.

Metroid GBA SP

Nintendo Co. Ltd. in Japan is now offering yet another color option for GBA SP owners.  This limited edition Samus Aran model is orange and red, with an insignia in the lower-right corner of the inner face.  The new color theme is apparently available only as a casing swap through NCL's Club Nintendo service.

We aren't sure of the details at this point, but the new color is being given away in some kind of time trial contest, involving Metroid: Zero Mission.  Second prize is a Metroid t-shirt:

Can't they at least TRY to make the hinge a uniform color?

That image was probably photoshopped... the big part of the hinge connected to the bottom half  is colored red in that image.

Making the hinge color all one color would mean they would have to change the production proccess significantly... they would have to develop a way to color the same piece of plastic in two tones.
