I think it was meant to be LAN mode, not online mode. It doesn't mention more than four players at once so I think its either a two-cube hookup with BB adapters.

I doubt they would be going full online, most likely just LAN mode. But if it does go online, although it'd be a slow start, it'd be a start nontheless.!

Yeah you won't be finding it anymore. NOE edited the page to remove the online part.

yo all, first time poster long time reader. Just a quick question, what would possibly be the point of having a LAN mode in a tennis game :s. Tennis is (traditionally) a game with a maximum of 4 players.

Tournaments... playing with people across the world.. it just adds more replay
here is some more confirmation that the game will probably be LAN/Online

I saw this a few days ago, but I didn't find it that important to post a topic on it...It's interesting though, because NoE is known for its slipups...(Paper Mario 2, anyone?)
onrine peripheral, mayhaps?
"It doesn't mention more than four players at once so I think its either a two-cube hookup with BB adapters."
Ahahaha, Shifty...You can't play Tennis (REAL tennis) with more than 4 people...

i think you fail to see my point, whats the point of linking two cubes with BBA (in LAN) when tennis is
a) a 4 player max game
b) not split screen
There is no advantage gained from using two cubes and two TV's. So i makes no sense for mario tennis to have only a LAN mode, online on the other hand would be absolutely awesome, so lets hope.

I played 6 person tennis once. We got hit with the balls a whole lot.

If it has a LAN mode and not online that means people can use WarpPipe to play online..

Both people can see themselves on the 'closest' court (I'm assuming two tvs will be used). While I agree it is extra, it makes matches more fair.

It's a bitch to play when your team is on the top half of the screen cuz the perspective's all "off" and stuff!

Aha, NoE changed it! Honest mistake or hidden blunder?

Yes the advantage of having your own screen at the bottom is very significant! So online or atleast lan would add alot to the game. Given whats been shown of MT2 (consoles) so far I wouldn't be surprised if they doubled the court size on each side and made the game into 4 on 4 tennis instead of just 2 on 2.

They accidentally called MP2's singleplayer "Zweispieler" (two player) on the german page. I doubt NoE knows more than we...

STFU Bill, I meant two players per Cube. That's the only way multiple Cubes would work in Mario Tennis.
