Title: Who here likes to make crude Stick figure animations on Microsoft powerpoint?
Post by: Snake 'n' Bake on April 27, 2004, 12:52:58 AM
'cos I do! If you do tell me about some that you've made and I'll tell you mine.

the very first one I made was just a guy that ran across the screen then another guy came on screen and shot a bullet at the first guy but the first guy did a Matrix dodge and then kicked the guys head off. I don't have it anymore I think it was deleted.

I mainly make ones about Dragonball Z and secret agents (Secret Agent Kickass, Secret Agent Gray and my Brother's Secret Agent Blue).

Its loads of fun! If you don't make them now I can give you a breif idea on how to get one going.

In my computer applications class at school (required course over the extreme basics of Word, Excel, etc- boring as hell) I'd take screenshots of the desktop with all the different menus open, and then made a virtual desktop in Powerpoint. I had it to where you could click the Start button, highlight all the options as you went up with the appropriate windows opening up and so on down the line, even to the point where when you clicked on a program it would open it up.

For a project in that same class we had to make a Powerpoint presentation with a winter theme. Everyone was doing your generic run of the mill Powerpoint presentation, so I made a 7 second or cartoon of a dog catcher chasing a dog through some snowy woods, with a cloud moving across the top sprinkling more snow on them (I even had a tiny Santa pop out of the cloud about halfway through and fly off). The presentation ran at about 10 frames per second and was over 70 slides long. I was afraid my teacher wouldn't like it, but luckily she loved it.

snake, you've been here for less than a month and you've created more topics than i have in over a year and a half of posting on this forum.  perhaps you need to tone it down a bit?

Mouse-Clicker, thats the kind of stuff to do when I'm bored in my computer class. It sounds like we basically have the same computer class. I do stuff that you would never think of in a million years just sitting around your house, but you get new inspiration when your learning things you always knew by pure geek instinct, and have a teacher droning on besides you.

I still managed to pass the class with over a 100 % too

I feel grateful and KN made that thread now.

I prefer to make crude animations in Flash.  Or at least GIF animator, for Christ's sake. . .

I did do a powerpoint on Michael Jackson once, though.  That was funny.

Yeah I do post too much, and I'll tone it down. Also I don't have any animation programs, I'd like to use a flash program, though. Powerpoints all i got.
