Title: Pokémon Box to be Available Separately in Europe
Post by: Aussie Ben PGC on April 17, 2004, 06:58:56 PM
And you won't even need to pay for it!

Nintendo Europe has announced that for a limited time, European Nintendo customers will be able to get Pokémon Box without having to buy a Pokémon Colosseum bundle pack. Instead, they can get it through the successful Stars Catalog for 4000 stars, which will also include a Memory Card 59.

Here is a description of the utility, taken from the article:

This unique device for Nintendo GameCube is an extension of the Pokédex found in the Game Boy Advance games Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire. It gives players a truly interactive experience, allowing them to display, organise and store all Pokémon captured in Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire in structured, full 3D format on the big screen. Players can play Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire on the big screen through the Pokémon Box without using a Game Boy Player. Players can also take pictures from Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire and use them as background images on their Pokémon Box. This is an all new, never seen before feature! Pokémon Box will be available in the European Stars Catalog from the 14th of May 2004.

When I first read of PKMNBox I thought "charging money for that is a rip off, but it would make a good stars catalogue item". Apparently they thought the same.
