Title: ***MAJOR School Project: Nintendo's Corporate Communication(Very short, everyone reply)
Post by: gnimmelf20 on March 12, 2004, 10:36:11 AM
I know this mainly concerns the Nintendo DS, but I really need replies from a Nintendo forum so please mods, don't move it. Thanks.
I'm the leader of a "consulting group" in my Managerial Communication class. Our assignment is to evaluate and address a major concern within a company, offering our inputs and solutions.
Since I have been the leader from the beginning, I chose the "Nintendo DS" announcement as well as its implications in the market as well as its affect on Nintendo's corporate image. This all ties into the theme, which is "corporate communication".
Our group has said that Nintendo has failed to address a number of corporate communication functions with the release of information (or lack thereof) concerning the company's new portable dual-screened device. Morever, we feel that the product's announcement could be a symptom of a much larger problem within the company.
We want to help Nintendo. This is why we plan to research a number of outlets including message boards, person interviews, and gaming conventions.

i'm sorry i'm not going to answer your questions, i just want to say that it's much too early to make any judgments about (a) the nintendo ds, (b) nintendo's marketing of said product, (c) the impact the product will have on gaming, (d) pricing, (e) the ds’s effect on my opinions towards nintendo. the product hasn't even been officially unveiled. very little has been said regarding it. you're going to have a very hard time doing anything for your school product until e3, at the very earliest.
i hope your professor offers extra credit.
